After going absolutely nowhere with my HMO 15 min physical therapy sessions, I looked for an alternative physical therapy group that would spend quality time to get to the root of my issues and put together both an on hands therapeutic session at the clinic as well as develop a home/office exercise program. After exhaustive online searching I discovered Myo at Studio City. Dr Mariano, DPT, has skillfuly and miraculously used her on target diagnostic skills as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and physical therapy expertise and myofascial release to completely get me back walking and moving and avoided surgery. Up front, I found core conditioning through my insurance, so it may not be an option for you depending on what you have. Their "thing" (I guess) is the "red rope" system. Which is a little ironic because I think in all the times I've been here I've only ever used it once. They also do Pilates, and PT. I've worked with two different therapists: one whose name I can't remember and Ashley. Both were professional and good at their jobs, the first was just... Kind of rude? It's tough to explain, but he often seemed like I was wasting his time. Ashley however is GREAT! Cannot recommend her more. There is also free parking in the structure under the building, which is nice. Last, I will say that the way they do their scheduling could use a revisit. They book out by the month, and I understand that people cancel appointments all the time, but what ends up happening is unless you boom your appointment on the DAY that they open up the schedule it becomes really difficult to book an appointment. Which is great, maybe showing how busy they are, except then whenever I go there's no one else there... Overall though, would definitely recommend.

Genisoir, Sammy, Erin, Heather, Colin, Nicole, and Serena at the front desk are all incredibly friendly, kind, and caring. They create such a welcoming environment, and you can tell they genuinely want to help their patients feel better. Since the recent scheduling changes, it feels like there are too many patients being seen at the same time. At times, the therapists are juggling three patients within the same hour, which can make sessions feel a bit rushed and less personalized. I want to emphasize that this is not a reflection of the staff, they are doing the absolute best they can and continue to be attentive and supportive despite how busy it gets. Having been an athlete and a dancer, I've had many, many physical therapists over the years, and Erin Doster is absolutely the best! She selects the perfect exercises for your injury and then teaches them to you in way that helps you understand the mechanics of your body so you can do the exercises effectively at home. Erin is the perfect combination of kind and compassionate and also insightful and exacting. I was first seeing Erin as I was recovering from a fractured rib and was very impressed with the way she helped me safely regain my strength. And then recently, after a thickness tear in my rotator cuff, I decided to resume working with Erin for that. Scoliosis etc. I've done a tour of doctors, scans, and PT and all of it has been of middling success. Mostly at PT in America one learns some basic stretches and maybe some light exercises. But once you know your routine there's not much more to offer. Meanwhile this institution focuses on analyzing and building a solid program to really help your back. At its core is chiropractor services and a lot of very helpful chiropractors that will give you a detailed analysis of your back issues and constantly check up on you. From there they offer massage therapy, Pilates based PT, and some other things I haven't tried out yet. I go weekly and do a 50 min back massage and adjustment session. The massage is really high quality. More like acupressure. I'd recommend trying different massage therapists and finding the one that works best for you. Every human is different.
