This is my third or fourth PT experience in the Valley. I was spoiled by a couple of them and have very high expectations. I have some significant chronic back and neck issues. Aside from my experience receiving PT treatment, I was a massage therapist and instructor at a career college for many years, so I am very knowledgeable about these things, and PT only helps if the therapist knows what they're doing. I work with Ally. I wasn't sure how it was going to go after the first assessment, but once we got rolling along I have been very happy with the service and knowledge and effectiveness of what she and the staff have been able to do with my therapy. Like most of these places, they are over-booked (I should have gone into this profession, they seem to have more patients than they know what to do with), but as long as you make your appointments well in advance, you can usually get them when you want them. Treatment rooms are clean and comfortable, plenty of parking. The front office staff is professional and friendly. The aides I've worked with so far have all been great. The gym is a bit small, but I haven't had a lot of time in there. It's great that they will give you a printout of your exercises and/or you can access them via the app. I still kind of miss my PT in Calabasas, but that's a long way away, and I can say I finally found something in the neighborhood that works for me. read more

The atmosphere of the office is so great - everyone is friendly and whoever controls the music deserves a raise My experience with Ally was amazing! She took care of every question I could've possibly had and figured out exactly what was causing my symptoms very quickly. By the time I "graduated" she equipped me with a gameplan (which has already noticeably improved my symptoms in just one month) which I'm 100% sure will completely eradicate my pain after a bit more practice and consistency. I'm always happy with the treatment I get here. It's very professional, very close to me & very convenient, and it always helps me. Originally, it was an offshoot of Base PT, in Encino, which is the best, in my book! Now, I believe it is run by others. However, they've maintained the Base treatment modalities. I'm very content with the treatment, no matter who helps me. I think there are typically a Dr or two & several assistants, so after your treatment plan is laid out by the doctor at first visit, you mostly see assistants. They typically treat many people, back to back, so treatment does go quickly! read more

It's the best place!! The people are so friendly. I started in June 2024, I followed my husband. He is very happy with the place. I'm still going because I had 2 Hip replacements this year. Kristin, Dr PT, she is tough, excellent and friendly. I need someone to push me and she is the one. Her aides like Carlos, Silvia, Andrew and others (cannot name them all), they do excellent jobs and very caring. Now , the front office, they are very accommodating with my schedule and very nice people. Tommy, the owner bought a shoe horn because I was having a hard time to put my shoes on because of my hips. I have been seeing Tommy Lin for over 8 years now, before he ever had his own place. I met him when he was a PT at a Physical therapy business on Burbank Blvd. I followed him to Encino when he was a partner in BASE. Now that he is on his own in Sherman Oaks, I had to leave a review. Tommy Lin is probably the Best Doctor of Physical Therapy that I have ever worked with. He cares about his patients. He cares about the people that work for him. He is extremely Knowlegeable about what Physical Therapy works best for each Individual. He knows many other Doctors, so if need be, he can give you a great option to see a specialist if necessary. He always has time to see how your progress is, so besides being a Great Doctor of Physical Therapy, He is really good person that cares about his patients. How many other DPT can you say that about. The only thing That I am hesiatnt about, is after this review The Physical Therapy Collaborative will get too crowded. After multiple phone calls to many PT places I thought I found the right spot. I first and foremost needed somewhere that took my insurance. This place verified it multiple times and confirmed I was in network and I even filled out consent forms online and had appointments made. Then the first day of healing after my surgery, the owner calls up and says so sorry, you're not in network. I manipulated my work schedule and rehab schedule specifically to work with this facility and had one hour this afternoon to do damage control and find anyone fast, since most places aren't open on Saturdays and it was a must to begin treatment on Monday. Negligent by definition and left me out to dry to find somewhere fast for my post op rehab. On a day Im supposed to rest and relax, this was not in the equation and now my blood pressure is through the roof in stress. Collaborate on this! read more

I am 64 years old and recently ruptured my L5 disc. Surgery was strongly suggested. My family doctor recommended physical therapy at BASE. I attended 10 sessions and can confidently say it was a spectacular experience. The staff is young and energetic. They know their job and do it well. Each staff member is an excellent communicator. I always knew exactly what each exercise was targeting, as it was explained in detail to me. At this point, surgery is no longer required. This is due in large part to Eric and the team at BASE. I highly recommend them to any client of any age. Their collective technique, expertise and positivity makes for a very healing environment. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I tore my ACL and I went to them for pre-hab and also post surgery rehabilitation for over a year. Their team are seasoned professionals who made me feel completely taken care of every step of the way. THE BEST! Everyone from the front desk staff to the assistants to the trainers are uplifting from the moment you walk in, lowkey, and so friendly. My trainer Eric and assistant Cindy were very attentive to my needs and incorporated my personal goals into the workouts. I came in limping and weak following a hip arthroscopic and 6 months of no physical fitness, and after 7 weeks feel very motivated and strong to start hiking and dance classes again.
