This place is great! I came in for treatment for a laceration to my ankle from a bike wreck and could not be more impressed. I was greeted warmly by a lovely receptionist named Rachel. She immediately brought me back to the room where I eventually received treatment and she was then even was gracious enough to offer me a glass of cold refreshing water while I was being treated. Marisol, the doctor's assistant, did an outstanding job cleaning my wound and was very personable and thorough. I didn't even know you could clean a wound so well! Dr. Pilch is down-to-business and treated me with respect and friendliness. She made me feel comfortable as she numbed my wound and gave me 5 stitches, as comfortable as that can be. She obviously "knows her stuff" and I felt at ease because of the confidence she had about the work she was doing on my ankle. The ladies even recommended a great taco shack for lunch in the area after my treatment. After my experience here, I have a higher opinion of the medical profession as a whole. The world needs more medical care professionals like Rachel, Marisol, and Dr. Pilch. What wonderful people! read more

Was really impressed with my experience. I'm unemployed and don't have insurance right now so I'm really price conscious. I called to a number of places to get pricing and most places had trouble giving me a quote. The receptionist at Physicians was transparent and answered all my questions about what was included and what was not and how much everything would cost. I went here because they could see me right away and were the most affordable option for what I thought was a broken right foot (fifth metatarsal). When I got there, I checked in and the receptionist remembered me from the phone and was very nice and helpful. After checking in, I only had a 5 minute wait and then the nurse was in to see me right away. She was very friendly and took my temp and blood pressure, asked me all the basic questions, and explained next steps. Dr. Singh came in very shortly afterward and did a thorough exam. He was awesome. He even had a second dr check me out because my foot is all messed up and he wanted a second opinion. Very cool. They both took their time, answered my questions, listened to my concerns, and explained my options - and costs - and even showed me how to save money on my prescription with the Rx App as well as on a brace by buying it from amazon instead of directly from them. I feel like a lot of Dr.'s don't even know or care about the costs of their services/prescriptions/devices...or worse - they intentionally try to gouge you - not here. Instead, Dr. Singh actively showed me how I could save money without compromising my care. I also had x-rays and the x-tay tech was really fun and also did a great job, even giving me a copy of my x-rays for no extra charge as well as helping me win the door on my way out. The nurse wrapped me up in ace bandages which they didn't even charge me for. I kind of assumed that as a self-pay customer, I was going to go to the back of the line...but instead I felt like I was getting the royal treatment. Developed a few symptoms and found their website online. Made a Covid test appointment on their website the minute they were available at midnight the night/morning before. Check-in process was a breeze / all done on my phone. Appointment was for curbside service and I stayed in my car while they did my vitals / did my Covid test. 20 minutes later I had my Covid results. Would highly recommend, the process was flawless. I have been here twice, both times with bad experiences. First, I had a severe infection and the doctor prescribed penicillin. Later, after being hospitalized for this infection, the doctor told me that this treatment might have worked in the 1950s. The second time I left because it was going to be a 3.5 hour wait. I also feel like I get great care from kind and respectful doctors and aids, very patient and reassuring with me when I got emotional my last visit there. This place has been a god send for me and I can actually afford the care there at times when I did not have insurance and of course now that I do. The worst. Even if you make an appointment the wait time is beyond. When I asked if it would be a while the woman at the desk said no not at all. Then 30 mins later she finally admitted people have been waiting for 70 min even with an appointment. She lied and said there must be an emergency. I'm upset with them because they ran unnecessary tests. I had an over the counter urinary infection kit that came back positive. They said they'd have to run the test at the hospital (really?! I'm doubled over in pain, what's the harm in giving me antibiotics?). That test came back positive (surprise). But they had to send a culture to an outside lab?! I was charged for two insurance claims. I used to work in the medical field and know that cultures are only necessary when tests come back negative, when they need to grow more cells to confirm a true negative. They were already going to prescribe me the meds.. what gives? This seems to be a company that thrives off of urgent care fear tactics. Sorry to mentioned i am still ANGRY on how Ambulance, Northshore handle him specially on the GRIEVOUS PRICE we have to pay. When I brought him to St. Francis Hospital his family Physician, his neurology sympathize with the outcome of Abner because they knew he was strong and alert. Seeing him this way seems to be sad to them. First off I told you before I beg the ambulance to bring Abner to St. Francis hospital, they rejected. Second, Northshore Hospital really messed Abner up. In St. Francis in a week and 1/2 they found out Abner had blood clot in the brain while Northshore took so many test 2 or 3 times electrical brain wave, blood work etc plus MRI cat scan and another MRI then they found out he had blood clot in the brain. Which mean it took them one month and 2 weeks. Experimenting all kinds of medicines, with restraint hands for almost 2 months and end result Abner loss his ability to comprehend and mobility to move and I am 24/7 working as his caregiver. I am not complaining my job but because of how he was handle by Ambulance and Northshore he could still have his strength. Dr. at St. Francis requested all his files in Northshore and as soon as the pet scan and cat scan done on May 24 on Northshore, they want me to submit the progress notes. I intend to transfer everything to St, Francis to get better care. Having different family physician every 2 weeks at Northshore is no good. Told me my insurance wasn't accepted there when clearly over the phone they said it was. Told me I needed to go somewhere else in a really belittling tone. I couldn't give it a zero star so I don't have a choice but to give them one star. This was my second time visiting them and it was horrible. I'm a woman of color and I know the difference of being treated fairly. My appointment time was at 10:10 AM, when I entered in the entrance there was only 3 people and they were called to the back. At 10:20 I'm still sitting in the waiting area while three more other white people came in. The next five minutes they called all three of them to the back and I'm the only one sitting there. Then they called me and wanted to do something different then what I came in for. I explained to them my situation and she asked why I didn't go to my PCP. I told her that they were booked and I needed this ASAP. She finally said we'll do a X-ray. So I got ready and waiting on them to escort me to the X-ray department then I hear a knock on the door. She said I want to listen to your lungs and heart. I'm thinking to myself why? So I got on the table and she said they'll take me in a minute. As the doors were closed I hear the laughing, snickering and them talking. I think it's rude for the nurses and doctors to be talking about their patients. If I would've went out there and checked them I'll be in the wrong and I probably would've scared all of them. I WILL NEVER EVER GOT BACK THETE AGAIN. read more

I cut my fingers very badly as I opened a set of knives. I called Physician's Immediate to make sure they could provide this type of service. My cut was to the tendon and I was very nervous. They let me right in (ahead of others in the waiting room) and the PA did an amazing job providing stitches (24 in total). I couldn't have asked for better care! read more

I have been to this location 3-4 times over the past two years, and each time I have been highly impressed with the staff and how I was treated as a patient. This morning I went back for an issue I've had in the past that other doctors have failed to treat appropriately. The provider I saw today took the time to listen to me explain my history and current symptoms, then she proceeded to prescribe exactly what medicine was needed and sent me in my way. I also like the option to make an online "appointment" which I did today and it worked like a charm. read more

This place was terrible. Doctor Pilch went straight to antibiotics for a sore throat. Thank goodness I didn't take them as it turned out not to be strep. Which she would have known if she would have done a strep test, which she chose not to do. I went in with a very sore throat; inflamed, pus-y tonsils. The doctor's assistant (assuming that's what he was, a short fellow) was short (no pun intended) and then send Dr Pilch in. She was an extremely loud talker who went straight to the antibiotics, without any hesitation. She said it was early strep. No strep test. The little short fellow comes in then with a bit of paper stating a diagnosis of pharyngitis. You can imagine this was confusing - is it strep or just a sore throat? You're giving me antibiotics. I also was concerned about HFMD (which was a stretch but nonetheless, I told him of my concern and it was not clear he mentioned it to the doctor), so I asked for the doctor to come back. And she did, and talked at me loudly to a point where she said I could wait until Sunday to fill the script if I wanted to. I just...antibiotics are for bacterial infections. They don't treat viral things. That is bad medicine to go straight to prescribing a week-long course (4x a day) of antibiotics for a sore throat. Had she bothered to asked me, I would have told her that it was worse the day before. I don't know who trained this doctor but stay away! read more

After two days of being siiiiiick with some stomach infection, I did a search for the closest urgent care facilities and found this place. Sunday morning around 10:15am I get there, I'm checked in immediately, and by 10:20 I'm already with a nurse. By like, 10:25 I'm seeing the doctor (Dr. Hughes) and after an exam (and reassurance that I probably wasn't dying) I was sent on my way with a script that I filled right next door at the CVS. I was back home and in bed by 11am! I've *NEVER* had any clinic experience go that smooth and quick. This will absolutely be my "go to" place when I get sick on a Saturday or Sunday (as it usually seems to go), or if I can't get in with my primary care doctor as soon as needed. OK... If you have insurance. Just go to the hospital. I know, I know!! I'm usually against wasting hospital resources... But, i've been here three times and I have experienced better in third world counties. I have. Not only is it expensive, they don't have proper treatment for eczema. Which is what I've been in to their office twice for. They only provide pills and scripts. I asked for medications that I've ran out of and I got the wrong one, size or dosage. They run you through the office so quickly that they don't pay attention to what you ask, say or require. They lack the ability to listen to the patient and attention to details of the problem. It's not worth the 125.00 if you can just pay the same at another place or the hospital which also may run you through quickly, but, at least I've been sorted. Also, their billing is a bit off. I paid my bills and got a past due bill which I am now working out. I needed a refill on an important medication before my European tour and I was denied until this was resolved. You have choices. After I burnt my hand with scorching hot oil I needed a place to go to fast and treat my wound. Physicians Immediate Care was there and open to help me out. Located on a busy stretch on Broadway in Edgewater this little clinic is a great place to get treated. After I signed in and filled out a few forms I was in the examination room with a nurse. She took my vitals and had the physicians assistant come in and look at my burn. "Yep, that's a nice 2nd degree burn you have there," she stated. She examined it more under the light and said I needed antibiotics and topical ointment. The nurse came back in and treated my wound and stuck a needle in my butt cheek, a antibiotic shot. I felt safe the whole time there, although a bit nervous. They treated me with care and were really fast. I know next time if I need immediate care, Physicians Immediate Care is the place for me. read more

When I walked in, I was greeted professionally and handed few papers to fill since it was my first visit. I want to start by saying I give doctors and nurses a lot of credit. I couldn't do there job for a second and what they do is such a hard job. But, that being said if you don't know what you are doing you shouldn't be acting like you do- especially around patients. My Mom and I went there last week because she had spilled boiling water on her leg and foot. It had been two weeks and it didn't look like it was getting any better. So, when we went in they look at her burn, took her temperature. The "Doctor"- or what I would learn later was only a PA- came in and looked at it and said, Okay this burn is effected and I see you have a low grade fever which means the infection is probably in your blood stream which will go to your heart. We both were in complete panic because less than a month ago my Dad/her husband has passed away suddenly from a heart attack- and we were both and still are dealing with that and trying to keep it together. Then she wanted to take her blood pressure- and before she does I ask, "Is my Mom going to be okay" This PA said, "Well, I think so- I don't know.." Not in the way of I am not sure because I don't know much about burns or medicine or how to be a doctor but in the way of you have an infection in your blood stream that will make this end badly. She said this as she was taking my Mom's blood pressure- which of course was through the roof by this point. She said we needed to go to the ER immediately- which of course we did. She suggested we call an ambulance, which just losing my Dad less than 4 weeks ago, I didn't even hesitate. The PA told us to not go to Weiss hospital because people have really bad experiences there/it was the worst place to go and to go to St. Joe's. I said okay, tell them we want to go there. She goes, "I will... because Weiss is awful." The EMTs get there and say we are going to Weiss- I looked at the PA and she just walked away. I was like WTF- I couldn't believe this was happening. The EMTs were amazing- I said she has to be okay.. He looked at me and said, "Of course she will be. I am still confused why an ambulance was needed for this. You guys could have driven." I then asked him about Weiss and he said it's a fine hospital and no one should be knocking hospitals like that. We get to the ER- the Doctor comes in- Dr. Sinclair- he was amazing. Don't listen to the "Doctors" at this place- Weiss is a great hospital and my Mom and I couldn't have asked for better treatment. But, long story short- My Mom never had a fever. Anything under 100 isn't a fever my Mom's body just runs a little hotter than national average but not everyone has 98.6 and as a PA you should know that there is no such thing as a low grade fever. Everyone temp is different. He looked at her burn and there was no infection, in fact her burn was normal for second degree burn. He gave her more medicine to keep it clean and kept us there for a bit to make sure the blood pressure wasn't a thing- but what do you know- it went down to normal within the time we were there. What annoys me about this is that we told the PA and nurse that my Dad had just passed away and we were still very raw from it all. And they literally made us think I was about to lose my Mom as well. When I was leaving with the EMTs they said we will call you tomorrow and check in- huge shocker they didn't. I filled out the survey they sent the following day and basically said the same thing I said here- they emailed me back saying they wanted to talk. I called the direct number they gave me a few times, emailed them back three times- and I still haven't heard back. It's absolutely disgusting how they treat patients here- and they just don't care. We didn't need an ambulance, we didn't even need to go to the ER and because of THEM my Mom's blood pressure went through the roof because they had NO idea what they were talking about. Listen, I wouldn't fault them if they were like listen I don't know much about burns I think it would be best if you went to the ER- I wouldn't fault them at all. But, to put us through all of that and then send us a survey, act concern and then never follow up when I try to explain my experience- absolutely disgusting. This place is awful and no one knows what they are doing here. Also, wondering where I should send our ER/ambulance bill too? Haha, Because we never really needed to go there. Also, Weiss is a great hospital and with how little you know about medicine and patients- Should you even be dissing another medical center like that? Fix your own problems before you go around and start trashing other places. read more

I wanted to get checked out for a sinus infection and I was able to walk there, check in, be looked at by a physician, and back home within an hour with prescription in hand. My experience with setting up the appointment and the front desk staff is great and efficient. However, I've seen Dr. Hughes a couple of times and it seems his go-to prescription is over-the-counter recommendations on what you should be taking. In the past, I have let this go and have had to let the symptoms get worse, return, and then be treated appropriately. I was hesitant to visit again today because of my past experiences but was desperate for immediate care and went in. Dr. Hughes did not fail to go through the same scenarios and prescribe me something over-the-counter; something that I had already been taking at this point. It was only after we had sat there and argued that something was done about my situation. Not to add, the way things are explained is often negative but direct. I was impressed with Dr. Hughes's bedside manner with my son and the time he took to talk with me and my husband, answer our questions, and share details about the medication he prescribed. This is a clean facility, but I found the staff to be very detached. I was curious what type of medical care professionals likes to perform this type of factory based service on patients. I reasoned that it's really no different from ER doctors and staff that care for patients for a few hours and don't hear from them again. However, when I called to say that my UTI symptoms returned after the antibiotics that I was prescribed were finished I was told I would have to return for a urine culture. Why should I have to pay them again for a test they should have taken when I was there. You're going to bill me another $200 for a new doctor visit. Chop shop medical care. No thanks. read more

Be careful here. I just spoke to the head physician after a faulty diagnosis who kept speaking over me, gaslit me and at one point when I suggested his ego was showing literally said: "Your right. It is about my ego. i don't care about my patients." Backstory: I was sent unnecessarily to the ER due to an simple dry eye issue after the doctor who was examining me texted a picture of my eyes to this head physician who diagnosed me to the ER via text because one of my pupils was dilated even though I reported putting eye drops in that eye. Since I had to get my daughter, I was reluctant but the doctor said it was very serious and said I needed to go as soon as possible. Once I got to the ER, they quickly examined me and said they were surprised that I was sent to the ER. That it was an over abundance of caution from this clinic and my visit wasnt necessary. They prescribed me over the counter lubricating drops. So I could have gone straight from my home to the CVS! Upon talking to the clinic staff after that experience, they all were very surprised that I was diagnosed via a text picture and sent to the ER. They waived my clinic bill and said they would have the head doctor call me to discuss my experience. This doctor who called me this morning kept interrupting me, talking over me, gaslit me when I said that the other staff and ER doctors were also surprised this happen to me I got frustrated and said it sounded like his ego was talking and that he wasn't even acknowledging my poor experience and the great er debt he caused me that I think they should be liable to pay on my behalf. He said that I'm right that it is all about his ego and he doesnt care about his patients. He also said that it is a litigious world and he has to be careful. He also said they make text diagnosis all the time in direct negation of what the rest of the clinic staff told me. The ER doctors also said that had they spent a little more time with me and had done even a simple neurological exam that my visit would not have been necessary. So, take this under advisement that the lead physician admits that they diagnosis via text, that they make medical care decisions based on the possibility of lawsuits to cover themselves, that he doesn't care what his staff has to say about these practices, that it was un collegiate of the er doctors to show surprise in his sending me there and that it IS all about his ego and he doesn't care about his patients.o read more

Well let me tell you about this shady business. I went in today for a rapid COVID test and was denied because of my insurance. Six people I know all went yesterday and had the test free of charge, without proof of insurance. I was told I had to pay 240$ out of pocket. Absolutely not. This was my second time visiting this location. Both times, the front desk staff was courteous and understanding, and the wait time was wonderfully short. On my first visit, the doctor I saw (can't remember his name!) felt a little bothered by my presence and wasn't particularly understanding of my needs. I had some persistent, lingering illness and his primary concern was merely throwing solutions at the symptoms and not really seeking out the cause; something like a cold but less than a flu that was well past its expiration date. I didn't feel like my concerns were being heard or understood. My second visit, I ended up with the same physician. This time I was much more prepared to advocate for myself--strongly. The doctor still approached my ailments in the same manner: he was closed off, arms crossed, leaning back against the wall away from me. This time, he did seem to hear everything I had to say and addressed every issue, but I did feel the need to assert myself quite a bit and had to reiterate a few key points in order for him to fully digest and find solutions to what I was suffering with. Not all patients are prepared to be as assertive and confident with what they have to say. Overall, not bad, but a little room for improvement where it really counts--bedside manner. read more

They misdiagnosed my fractured foot as a sprained ankle and called me a week later to tell me it was actually fractured and I needed a boot/crutches, after I had already spent a week thinking it was just a bad sprain. They still charged me for their services despite the awful misdiagnosis. read more
