I've been here four times during the past year, first due to COVID-19, later with Bronchitis, and a couple of times with my wife due to COVID-19 as well as other reasons. Our experience has always been as positive as it can be. The staff has been excellent, from the front desk to the doctor. The care provided by the doctors here has been top-notch; the facility has all the necessary equipment to facilitate excellent care. Today, I experienced firsthand that they genuinely care for the community and the patients who come for help. My wife was not feeling well today, and even though our insurance is no longer accepted due to new legislation, they provided the necessary services. They triaged my wife to make sure it was not a life-threatening situation. I am thankful for the services they have provided us each time we have needed to visit their Emergency Room. To those who can make those crucial decisions as a disabled veteran, I need to have access to care like the one they provide Physician Premier Emergency Room. I am unable to go to BAMC due to having Tricare selected, and unfortunately, I do not have confidence in the services at the VA; moreover, waiting at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital Emergency Room can easily consume up to ten hours. By the time you get to see a doctor, you will be worse than how you came in. I am sure we are not the only military family that benefits from the services provided at this excellent facility. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. One-star is actually being generous and quite misleading. We went in for what appeared to be a scary health issue and it was all downhill from there. Despite being almost empty, the doc was hardly present and most of our visit was spent sitting alone in a room. When they did come into the room the provider was dismissive and from the very start told us "a lot of kids coming in with rhinovirus." They did two lab tests and told us it was indeed rhinovirus. Then slapped us with an outrageous bill (4-figures) for a fruitless visit that lasted about an hour. We might as well have gone to the Whataburger across the street for care. Instead we went to a different, more thorough (and apparently competent) healthcare provider who determined what was actually going on and provided the necessary care. read more

First, I'd like to point out that this ER has OVER 260 ratings on google and a 4.6 rating! I was suffering from some almost unbearable pain and needed medical attention. I ended up here on a holiday and was dreading having to go to an ER, but this place was close and it was open. Inside was very calm and orderly unlike a usual ER. There was minimal paperwork, maybe a 10 minute wait and i was back in an exam room. Had blood work done and results back quickly. Needed a CT scan, and they took care of that in about 10 minutes. I swear it was like being in a private hospital! Very prompt attention, accurate diagnosis, and meds were dispensed and prescriptions written and explained. Staff is polite, professional and friendly. I can't thank them enough! Would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Chilton and his staff. I arrived in need of quick help and I was ushered through immediately and helped through my issue with extreme care, patience, and concern. Due to the nature of my emergency, I was extremely concerned and anxious. Dr. Chilton and his two staff members really put me at ease. Not only was this staff of the highest caliber in knowledge and bedside manner, this facility (which I had never seen before) is really really nice. Clean, modern, organized. I'm so impressed. RN Carlos Perez spoke to me in a verbal abusive manner as soon as he called me back to be triaged. Earlier in the week I had called to see if they allow family members to go back there in the room with you, and I was told that you can't have a family member. And I was just there on yesterday being treated for a totally different reason, and I saw family members in the rooms with the patients. So needless to say, I asked my husband to come back there with me while I was getting triaged, and Carlos held his arm up and said "PATIENT ONLY!!" in a very rude, aggressive manner. I already felt uneasy because of his rude behavior, but I went back to be triaged.. As soon as I walked in the room, the tension was so thick. You could cut it with a knife. I sat down in the chair, and I kindly asked if they changed their policy on allowing family members being in the room with the patient and RN Carlos said " DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?!?! YOURE OVER HERE UPSET BECAUSE I WOULDNT LET HIM COME BACK , WHILE IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!!" Along with that statement he had a very threatening body language towards me to the point that I felt unsafe and uneasy. I then replied im a soft manner "how can you say im upset when i havent done or said anything" I had literally just sat down in the chair. Then in.he yelled "IT IS UP TO OUR DISCRETIONS " I didnt quite understand so i asked "your discretion?" And he raised his voice at mw and said "OUR! DISCRETION!!" So I proceeded to talk and he rudely cut me off and "OKAY LETS TRY THIS AGAIN" ... I sat there in my chair looking at him for a moment, then i just stood up and proceeded to walk out.. told him i don't want to be seen because he was extremely disrespectful from from the beginning. I was trying to get out the door that was directly behind him and i was struggling, wiggling the handle and he rudely raised his voice and said "OH THIS DOOR WILL OPEN!" literally dismissing me. Not caring that I didn't get triaged nor am i being seen for my medical emergency. I walked away from the threatening, verbal nurse, and I let him know how you're supposed to treat patients and you were very disrespectful and that I didn't need his help. He didn't know i was in the medical field.. and i have one hell of a title. So the doctor comes out to speak with me and tells me that I will not be able to be treated if I felt unsafe with that nurse so I ended up having to walk away from this facility not being treated for my medical emergency and I told the doctor That my pain was a 10 out of 10 and that I really needed to be seen. read more

In a week my family ended up at the ER 4 times, thank you CoVid. It is not the first time we use this facility and we have always been extremely happy with the care provided and received. 9:31 an hour ago If I could I would leave no Stars. I visited Physicians premier emergency hospital in Cibilo Sunday 4/10 /22 in severe back pain radiating down my leg to my foot being numb. I could hardly walk shaking all over. My blood pressure and heart rate were dangerously high. The nurse was quick in getting my information down. The doctor walked in no introduction worst bedside manner. He just looked at me and asked why was I there ? At first I was confused wasn't sure what he said but he asked again why was I there he said I was on the highest dose of medicine at home. There was nothing he could do for me. I was told that they don't have X-ray, ultrasound, or cat scan machines there. they do advertise it though. He made it sound like I was there for a fix . He didn't even examine me . I have never in my life been made to feel so disrespected by a so called doctor who is supposed to care for you. I just walked out they didn't even seem to care . I went to the emergency room in Alamo heights they quickly ran X-ray' and a ultrasound. I was given a lv with pain meds brought my blood pressure and heart rate down. Hello, I had to bring my sister here on 09/03/2023 around 4:30 pm due to kidney stones, front desk staff was awesome, RN Daniel was awesome, but Dr.Holland was very unprofessional. This isn't the first time a bad review was made about him. When he came into our room the TV was already on when we got in there I was on the phone texting updating my mother on what was happening and my sisters phone was next to her and he says "wow.." and chuckled and said "y'alls generation these days can't stop looking at the screens, it's not yalls fault this is how it is for you guys, y'all just have the need to be staring at a screen 24/7 y'all are just so addicted" first off I was updating my mother on the situation, second off my sister wasn't on her phone but was looking up at the TV when he came in because she has anxiety and doesn't like looking people directly in the eyes she wasn't being rude or anything, he grabs the remote to turn the TV off so she would be forced to look directly at him. so after that he says "do you know why we ain't doing another CT scan?" my sister replies "no I don't" in a very snarky manner he goes "well you have had a kidney stone before so you should know you can't have a CT scan everytime you get a stone because of radiation" and says "your mother should know that too since she has kidney stones so she shouldn't be mad" in a very condescending attitude. My mother wasn't even there so why would she be mad? He also says "I hope y'all don't go to another ER to ask for a CT scan..." I didn't appreciate this at all. He has no business saying anything to me or my sister in any rude manner I don't care how tired he is or how busy (even though we was the only ones there) It was uncalled for and unprofessional and unnecessary. He made our visit seem like a bother to him or like it was unnecessary for us to come in. Y'all NEED to do something about him! I've also personally had my fair share of bad experiences with y'all. Had a very scary ordeal that led me to arrive here. First time going, but didn't want to go to the other urgent cares or BAMC.. There was no wait and they were so caring as soon as we walked in. The front desk lady was so kind even though my husband and I were a crying mess and forgot our phones/wallets. The doctor and nurses were absolutely amazing and talked us through everything they were doing and didn't be little us like other places we've been too (BAMC..). And even though they were busy, they still made an effort to come in to check on me while they were grabbing things for the other patients. It's a shame we just found them right when they're about to stop taking tricare in a couple months, but definitely going to reach out to the governor and whoever about that. Because I have such terrible experiences literally all over with military doctors and the urgent cares..and this is by far the best place there is. read more

Do not go here if you actually have an emergency or major medical issues. I went to this emergency room because I happened to be working across the street when I got a bad pain in my abdomen which I thought could be from difficulties from a surgery I had a week and half prior to place a stent. After I was admitted Dr. Hilliard said there was nothing he could do for me because he wasn't familiar with my case and made no attempt to obtain any information from the hospital I had the surgery at, then proceeded to tell me he would transfer me but there was no guarantee he could transfer to the hospital I had the surgery so the best decision was to have my wife take me to the specialist the next morning or an ACTUAL hospital. He said he was gonna give me fluids since I was extremely dehydrated and get me stable so I could make the transfer. I agreed and not five minutes later a very rude nurse came in and took the iv out even though I had not received the fluids or medications and said "we're done with you, you've been discharged and need to leave" and proceeded to kick me out in the the middle of night where I waited ten minutes for my wife and kid to pick me up in extreme pain, nausea, anxiety, and confusion. Worse medical experience I have ever had. Do not give them your hard earned money or waste your time in agony when you could be getting, not better care but any care anywhere else. This was the worst service in my 50 years to be seen at. Not professional at all..where do I begin. Let's see. They didnt take my vitals when I got there. Couldnt even get my blood pressure without trying 5x. Never checked my lungs,was wheezing. Caught covid and they treated me like a child when I told them I didnt receive the vaccine. Was told they had no room for me.So they gave me fluids and made me leave through the emergency exit, and stand outside for my ride. Wow, I would NEVER recommend this place! Doctor was rude and tried to strike fear in me. That's ok,covid is 99% recover rate. I will recover,but to be treated the way I was,was so unprofessional. People steer clear. I almost got thrown out because my son gave the wrong insurance card. We got the right one but wow I will never go there again. They are not to be judging people.
