The Little Orchestra Piano Tuning and Rebuilding Shop is one of the best service businesses I have…read moreever worked with, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! I called several piano shops in the area for a quote on a very small repair and was shocked by the prices. Some companies insisted that I needed a full service package with tuning included, even though that wasn't what I needed or wanted. Then I found Britney. She was honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful from the very beginning. She quickly identified the problem, repaired exactly what was wrong in about 15 minutes, and charged a very reasonable fee--far less than what I had been led to expect by other shops. What impressed me most was that Britney took the time to answer all of our questions and never tried to sell us services we didn't need. It's rare to find someone with this level of integrity, expertise, and customer care. If you're looking for a piano technician who is skilled, trustworthy, fair, and genuinely cares about her customers, look no further than The Little Orchestra Piano Tuning and Rebuilding Shop. We will absolutely use them again and will recommend them to all our family and friends!

Oh, my goodness. What a pleasure it was to work with Little Orchestra…read more Little Orchestra was a delight, from start to finish. What I Loved: --Online scheduling. --Clearly laid out pricing. --No "up selling" of services. --No judgement about my (alas) very out of tune piano. Such a contrast against our previous (also highly rated) piano tuner. I cannot recommend Little Orchestra highly enough.

We needed an upright spinet Piano that's been in the family for 70+ years moved quickly…read more A search identified several movers that said they serviced the westside. After calling two of the first companies on the list and getting a quote that could be done immediately but wanted more than the little piano was worth. The next group was the same price but included a tuning certificate to be used later and they couldn't get it scheduled for 10 plus days. Finally I called Evergreen Piano and Berta answered. Super friendly and was able to get it on their schedule the next day at a much more realistic price. They offered tuning as well but didn't require it to be purchased up front. Berta was great and scheduled her team to pick up and deliver and they were on time and did a great job. They were setup on Zelle and it was a great experience.

They were able to squeeze me into their schedule within a couple of days and give me a price break since my job wasn't far away from another they had lined up. Really appreciated that! Day of their move Eugene sent me a text with his eta, they showed up on time and everything went smoothly. They might have new people working here since those previous reviews were written. I will likely be reaching out again when we have to move the piano back.

Interesting that these clowns advertise both online and even on the door that they buy, trade or…read moreconsign musical instruments. Last week I took two mid-level guitars in to do consignment. I've never been so insulted. These clowns must have assumed they were stolen. "Where'd you get them? Why are you selling?..." Hey pal, I have multiple instruments and these were two I almost never play (as if it's any of their business). They claimed there were problems with both and weren't interested. Now, I have done business with them multiple times, but they can kiss this customer goodbye! I'm not a thief, but these guys are jerks. To prove these were from my personal collection, I've included a picture of my remaining guitars. I ended up gifting the guitars to my niece.

But I came at about 2:45 and the whole place was still dark. Just a thought - maybe have enough staff around at all times that some of your employees can take lunch while others are still on shift? Were they closed for summer vacation again and just didn't tell anyone? Sorry, but I'm all done here. You've wasted enough of my time. At one time Portland Music Co. was the best in the city. Those days are gone. It's better to buy music online nowadays anyway. The prices are often marked down by 20% or more if you get in on a holiday sale or something.

I went in to buy a bass and a practice amp. I got talked into buying this little…read morerecording/headphone device for the same price I wanted the amp ($160). I was told I had 30 days to return it. I didn't like it and tried to return it a few weeks later. What I wasn't told was that I'd only get $50 as in store credit if the box was damaged (just the box, not the actual product itself). The worst part was the guy looked up the resell price on a used version and it came to about $80, but he then took 35% off even though it's a return. I then wanted to buy an amp (What I originally wanted before I was talked into something else) and asked for something around the $150 mark. He then tried to talk me into an amp without telling me the price. I had to firmly ask what the price was twice before he told me it's $300. Even though I was visibly upset from losing $100 from a product I bought from them because the box was damaged. I finally got him to show me exactly what I wanted. If you go here, know exactly what you want and be firm about it so you're not talked into getting something you don't want that costs more money. Also know that the boxes their products are in are worth $100 so you can't return a perfect condition product, within their return window, if the box is damaged.

While I have no complaints on their sales department which always has been nice, my rating is for…read moretheir amplifier repair service that is not honest. I highly recommend being very careful if you must bring your amplfiers there. It's for a repair work finished for my Mesa Boogie Mark III on 3/6/2022. I brought it for a crackling noise and it was just due to a bad 12AX7 tube (V1) due to bad contact on pins. They knew it but they additionally replaced a healthy volume pot, 2 healthy 30uF filter capacitors, while leaving one that was actually bad and underspec (20uF) which was worsening 60hz hum (which is the design weakness with this amp even with DC heater supply for V1). Total cost I paid was $100 + $15 + $16 + $10 + $125 = $266!! In addition, they didn't tighten up the top suspension screws which caused one 12AX7 tube to break during transport. It was not my first time taking the amp there because they are supposedly the only Mesa Boogie service center here. In 2018-2019, it was also them who installed the very JJ 20uF 500V filter capacitor that is underspec! I am engineer myself with a master degree in electrical engineering and I have been learning about repairing and building vintage tube amplifiers in past few years and now I know well enough. I still have all the receipts and documentation and the healthy parts that have been wrongfully replaced.
