I ordered the white Shaker style kitchen cabinets through them. They didn't give me the invoice but I trusted them. I later found out that that was mistake. i also ordered a bathroom vanity with drawers but they came without drawers. He told me that we wouldn't be able to exchange it, and it's not possible to have drawers anyway because of sink and plumbing. I was told there would be soft close hardware but only four drawers came with it, all other drawers and all doors had regular closing hardware. His response was that he didn't know why but it wasn't a big deal for me to get them at Home Depot. I was not happy about their attitude but I've known them from church so I could not argue with them. However when I found out about a chipped drawer face and door, that a 18 inch cabinet came with a 15 inch tray, some shelves came in the wrong size, no toe kicks, cabinets showed staples on the side faces, I was not happy. When I pointed out staples showing on the side of the cabinets they tried to argue that all the cabinets come that way. They used staples so that the cabinets hold together strong. I asked them who would want to wear clothing with the stitches showing? Finally they sent me a side panel to cover them up but they didn't bother to order the matching color though, it's off-white in contrast to the cabinets' pure white. Their craftsmanship was terrible. All the doors and drawers were installed lopsided and not aligned well. I truly believed that I would have a good warranty because I know them very well. When I asked them about missing toe kicks, moldings, wrong size of tray, etc., they stopped answering my calls. I left them more than 20 text and voice messages. They never responded and they never answer the phone. Consumers Beware!! My husband and I bought a home in 2012 and decided last year to have Picasso cabinets refinish our cabinets. We went from a light maple to black. They were very professional and did a fantiastic job. I can say this with extreme honesty because my husband is the pickiest person I have ever met and he tells everyone how wonderful their work is! Working with Picasso Cabinet/Green Kitchens USA/The Finish Depot on the kitchen of our 1920 Wardman townhouse in DC has been very frustrating and disappointing. On the positive side-- It's a family business that's truly a family business and the daughter, Melody is the main point of contact. When the work is done at your house it's her father, mother, and brother. In person they're all quite pleasant. The cabinet refinishing itself is quite good (more later on misplaced knob holes and mis-aligned trim work) and the prices are not unreasonable--unless you agree to some of their suggested onsite changes (all of which were good and we agreed to) but they're disproportionately pricey (not complaining here, just giving a heads up). The father, who apparently has been doing this forever, has an excellent eye. On the negative side-- It's a family business that's truly a family business, and the daughter, Melody, is your main point of contact. For literally months now she has promised to deal with problems that are covered under their guarantee plus supplying us with some addition trim we had requested (more on this later) and at this point has basically abandoned us. She doesn't respond to emails or phone calls in a timely manner. She did tell me that texting was preferred, since that was most convenient for her, but apparently not convenient enough for her to bother to respond. This is doubly frustrating since Melody is the only point of contact in the business. When they painted the drawer faces they didn't paint the inside of the drawer faces. So they're gray on the outside, and when you pull them out, they're brown (the old finish) on the back of the drawer face. There are noticeable gaps in the crown molding they installed and now the caulking they used is drying up and shrinking. We had them redo it once when they were at our home and they still couldn't get the joints to successfully meet. By coincidence, we had two finish carpenters in the house after the installation, both of whom, without prompting, noted that the joints weren't within industry standards. One of the requests we had of Melody was to supply us with some additional painted molding so that we that we could have an outside finish carpenter redo the crown molding in part of the kitchen. Two of the knob holes on the cabinets are misaligned. There's (expected) touch-up work that needs to be done. Bottom line, Melody does not know how to run a business and unless they leave your home with everything 100 percent perfect, you're on your own. Their guarantee and promises mean nothing. I would not recommend Picasso Cabinet/Green Kitchens USA/The Finish Depot or whatever their name is this month. read more

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! Do not waste your money in this company to do your kitchen cabinets. Our kitchen is not very big so we decided to just reface our cabinets to save a little bit of money. Big mistake! First of all, it took 6 mths before they can even start the job because they said they were so busy. We thought that was a good sign and that is why they are so backed up with orders. But no...the real reason is because the whole family does everything. They take your order, come to your house to measure, do the actual work, and fix the issue (if there is any). Another issue is that the daughter is the only one that speaks English so she has to be there all the time to translate. Our problem started off on the wrong foot when we scheduled a time and day for them to come and start the job and they did not show up. I had to call them and they said that they forgot and can they come the following week. We already waited 6mths so what's another week, right? And when the work was finally done, we noticed that the trim under the cabinets were not completely stained correctly to match the cabinets. This is when the probably really started. There were numerous back and forth e-mails and phone calls before they finally came back to fix the issue. And just when I thought it was fine, the stain that they used to go over the parts that they missed under the cabinets were not the correct stain. I tried to get them to tell me what stain they used so that my husband and I can fix it ourselves, but they would not tell me. So instead, I had them come back and fix it AGAIN. I would have just let it go at that point, but the fact that we spent $4000 in our kitchen cabinets, I felt that it was their responsibility to get our cabinet done correctly. Needless to say, this went on for another 2mths before they came back again and fixed it. And it doesn't end there because now we have nails coming out of the molding that they ended up putting in to hide the other mess that they did. AND they only did this under one of our cabinets and didn't bother to do the same to our other cabinets. The whole thing was so inadequate that we basically threw our money down the drain and should have just spent it on brand new cabinets. They are a nice family, but the work and their customer service is horrible and not worth the $4000! Again, I had to communicate the whole time with their daughter, who was nice but she didn't do the job. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY in this company if you are thinking of refacing your cabinets. Go somewhere else or just spend the money on new ones. Sorry for the long review, but the whole situation was very frustrating. It is no way to run a family business. read more

I am beyond sad to see any negative reviews posted for this company. I have been singing their praises for almost a year now. I had beautiful high end maple cabinets in my kitchen but was ready for a change and wanted a company who could paint them white with a mocha glaze. After talking with Melody, I realized I could basically change my kitchen to look like a custom kitchen while utilizing the current cabinets and having custom touches added. They reconfigured my entire refrigerator area to accommodate a built in refrigerator and also rebuilt the entire area around the wall oven to accommodate a built in unit with a convection microwave, wall oven and separate warming drawer. Then they built custom boxes over the cabinets to take the cabinets up to the ceiling and finished everything off with double crown molding at the ceiling line. They started the job when they said they would (and yes, it did take months to get on the schedule because they were honest about the timing and didn't try to just squeeze me in then keep delaying the work like many contractors do). They stayed on track and transformed an entire kitchen in record time. Other contractors would have taken months to do what they did in a week. The craftmanship is beautiful and the quality of the work is superb. Please do not be swayed by the negative reviews posted here. I am not sure why the other positive reviews are only shown in a separate link and only the 2 negative views are shown first but the negative reviews are not at all representative of this company or their work. This is a family owned business that take pride in their workmanship. I did a lot of research into refinishing/painting kitchen cabinets and looked extensively for a company that could do the job. The company is about 75 miles from my home but I drove to their showroom to review their work. I was delighted to see different styles and colors of cabinets. I had 30 dark oak cabinet doors and 16 drawer fronts and wanted to go lighter. Because my cabinets were in good shape, I thought I could save money by having them painted/glazed as opposed to buying new cabinets or having them refaced. The process was simple - I sent them a picture of my current cabinets and got an estimate from them in 2 days. After going to the showroom and picking out the French white/mocha glazing, I signed a contract with work to be completed in a month. They came to my home and picked up the door and drawer fronts on June 25 and completed the job on July 9. Because of the distance, they worked 10+ hours to finish the job in one day. It looks AMAZING! I started out with an estimate of 6500 for refinishing. After adding custom features including trim, molding, corbels, hidden hinges, and hardware my total price came to roughly $9,000. What a transformation!
