Working with Olive and the fabricators/installers at Picasso Porcelain was a great experience. I really wanted Carrera marble even though it has a reputation for etching and staining. I had a very tight budget and Olive was able to work with me and deliver on both cost AND timing. They were able to get the marble, take measurements, fabricate and install in under 2 weeks! After installation, we realized the sink had cracked which was not their fault. Long story short, the sink had a small nick on one side when it arrived and I didn't think it would affect the integrity of the sink but it did. When I called the installers to come back, they did and helped to remove the sink even though the didn't need to do that. I highly recommend working with Olive and her team at Picasso Porcelain! Side note about having marble. I love it! It has etched already but I think that adds to the beauty of the natural stone. We haven't had any stains even though red wine and acidic food has been on it. read more

TL:DR - Homeowner here, got 2 ~60" bathroom vanity countertops installed yesterday. 1 sink and 2 sink layouts. Simple mitered edge, no backsplash. Stone was cheap, fabrication "seems" cheap, installation was incredible, will use for kitchens. Found this on yelp, as it turns out, stone fabricators are also difficult to find via yelp (surprise surprise!), but dropped by to meet the folks to get a read. Was greeted by Nella, and she was very personable and assured us of a good deal. She also replies to phone calls, emails, and texts. She has been very helpful in ideas for our remodel as well as connecting us with other vendors for other items that are non-stone related. We had a color in mind, and explored different price options etc. She showed us some remnant pieces that would be even cheaper. On our first visit we gave her approximate dimensions and got a ballpark quote. She assured us that "once cabinets are installed and plywood tops set, we will come in and do the rest." When the time came for measurements, I called Nella, and set up an appointment for an after work time (530pm on Thurs 3July), and they were on time, and took about 20 minutes to measure. I got a written quote to verify the ballpark quote, and called them the next day to put down a deposit (folks, they take credit card!!). Nella texts me on Tuesday 8Jul in the morning to tell me that they are done fabricating the 3 sink holes and mitered edges for the 2 tops. According to my calculation that was 1 business day. I'm pretty impressed. Install scheduled for 9Jul at 530pm (this is great since . . . I work, and my project manager is incompetent, so I had to source them, and I wanted to be onsite to insure the quality - since . . . I cant rely on my incompetent PM or contractors) Day of install. Installers didn't arrive until 645pm, due to a previous job running late. At this point in my remodel, this is "expected", but set me on the wrong foot. But that's fine - my circumstances are different, as everything has been "late", so it's within reason for me. They show up, and the 3 guys offload the counters into the garage space. Setup 2 A-frames and clean the stone. The lead guy inspects the locations and they get to work. Lay up the first counter and voila, the measurements were slightly wrong. See the "before" picture and how the corner was square instead of round, and how there are gaps along the tile. You can imagine my dissatisfaction almost immediately and then my disappointment in "you get what you paid for". The lead guy assured me that it would be fine. A litte grinding and sanding, and about 20 mins later, the install was complete and you can see the "after" picture. Amazing. The second (double sink) vanity took longer, b/c it was a tighter fit, and needed several adjustments. One of the measurements was slightly off, causing me to make an on-site decision to move one of the basins over by 1 inch - but Wife Approval said it was OK, and we were good to go. Same process - quick and looks excellent. The lead guy said if we did not like the mis-measurement of the sink, we could have them re-cut/re-fabricate a new slab. I chose to have the sink moved, and was not "convinced" or "talked into it" by the lead guy nor Nella. They made a small mess in the garage, but vacuumed / swept up / rinsed off everything. Seriously why can't all vendors be like this? I'm actually really impressed. This isn't a paid review, nor was I asked to do this by them. Please do not use this company. I am an interior designer who really cares about what he does and these people are cheap and shady. There is not other way to describe someone who changes prices, and reschedules so often that I and my staff were thrown off of an important schedule. I want to thank Olive for managing the order, measurements and installation of Caesarstone in my kitchen. What made the job challenging was that although my rental is in San Francisco, I am living in Czech Republic, and was unable to be onsite for the complete reconstruction. She was very helpful in managing the constant changes of time frames of when the installation could be done (due to unanticipated changes with other aspects of the renovation), and as well changes I decided to make in the design. I am also happy that the costs of changes were reasonable, and that she kept her word to me about the agreements made, and was able to adjust her schedule to make sure that my kitchen was finished in time. More than that it was a real pleasure to speak with her, and she was always very helpful with anything I needed. Highly recommended! PS. On this rainy day and having 45 minutes before the ballet we stopped to check out a granite recommendation by Robert, Cal-wood. We pulled up to a very old man smiling at us from a loading dock and waving us to the front door. We were greeted by Olive, we later find out to be his daughter. The old man can't speak english but offers us tea and waves us into the store. Olive tailed us and showed us all the products and was more then generous in giving us samples. Her dad would whack at a backsplash to give us samples... I wasn't sure if the man or the granite would break first. Also no charge!! no signing a bunch of papers for our samples. After picking out a couple and I liked the Blue Eyes, we walked away more knowledgeable and with samples to compare with our maple flooring. Ask for a discount! Very strange and unprofessional experience here. My husband had initially talked to them for a quote but wasn't impressed with their aggressive and unclear approach so we chose another vendor. Weeks later a woman and older man show up at our house unannounced to say they are here to measure for countertops. My husband wasn't home so as I went inside to call him to confirm that this wasn't scheduled, they start getting into their car, knowing of course what he would say. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional to turn up at someone's home. They did not try to contact us via phone at any point. read more

My updated review- we decided to re-do our fireplace- which meant buying marble/ having the marble cut/ and installing said marble. Kam Hing did not have the specific marble i wanted- so they suggested another place - we purchaced the marble- and then went back to kam hing to have it cut. They did a GREAT job- then- i made a mistake on the measurements so a very small number of tiles needed to be re-cut- not only did they re-cut the tiles (i skrewed up) but they did it ON THE SPOT so my do it yourself home project was ON TRACK and looks PERFECT woo whoo use kam hing jr I visited many places and this was the best - not only because they are very nice people, with a good product- but they said to me "I really hope we get to do business" - lets face it- i was putting in a new kitchen- it was business! and they did a great job- exactally what i wanted- down to the angle of the granite they showed up on time- completed the project on time- and followed up with a call to be sure we were happy ** by the way- i visited over 10 companies for quotes- including one next to the "end up" who didn't have time for me- ha! joel read more

Maybe they do good work here, I don't know, but I will never give them my money! Went here after being referred to them by a supplier. Upon calling for a measurement, I was encouraged to come check out their showroom because they had other things beside what I originally wanted from them. We went and this place is a disaster. If you are going to encourage people to come look at your inventory/showroom, can you dust it?!?!? Everything was covered in layers of dust! I couldn't browse what they had for the dust--EVERYTHING WAS GRAY!! Now the employee. She was totally unprofessional. When she finally came to assist us, she was doing something on her phone. She stood in front of us while still on her phone. Then when she finally did speak to us, she was more concerned with guessing who I was and what my job was rather than finding out what we wanted and why we were there. I emailed my exact measurements and what I wanted for 3 items, and in return, only got an estimate for one item after reminding the employee 2 days later! Their estimate was hundreds of dollars more than what I was previously quoted. When I let them know, they eventually lowered their price, but at that point, I had made up my mind that I wasn't going to deal with them. Not only did they give me the best price for a custom fabricated island but her mom Janet went above and beyond to ensure that everything was cut correctly and matched. During the install Mr. Cheung took his time and was very detailed with everything. You can tell he has been doing this for over 30 years and was still working hard after the install lasted over 6 hours to ensure every little thing was done correctly. She ordered us some sample to keep in our kitchen while we decided what stone to get, her cost and turnaround time was way better than many, many others we looked at. I needed 5 slabs of quartz for a kitchen with waterfall edge island and master bath renovation. I contacted ALL of the top rated countertop companies on yelp. For the price the other guys are charging, you'd think they're cutting the countertops with prison shanks. Picasso's quote was so much lower, we though it was a joke. The price discrepancy was so huge it made us nervous, but the savings were too substantial to pass up. When it came time to install, the installers were meticulous and the cuts and joins were clean and precise. We were very happy with Picasso and Olive saved us THOUSANDS. read more

I've used these guys for projects probably 8 times over 15 years. This last time, they stood me up three times to show up for measuring, spanning 3 months of waiting. Their quality is a "C", but their prices are always lowest. I've used them over the years with mixed results. This last time was the final straw, I cancelled the contract and asked for my deposit back. I'm having trouble getting my slabs back, they turned away my new fabricator when he tried to pick them up. I think the owner is close to retiring which is why customer service has gone from just ok to very bad. I'd stay away, my advice. read more

High quality materials at good prices but the service is pretty off. They were supposed to install my counter tops on a Friday so I took the day off only to get a call at 8:30am that morning saying they were not ready! We rescheduled for Monday. On Monday morning I still didn't have a time and had to track Olive down to find out when the installers would be coming so I could inform my plumber. They were about an hour later that the time she promised. Overall work was good but you have to have a lot of patience and flexibility to deal with their inability to schedule. We have used Picasso Porcelain 5 times on large projects from 2005 to 2020. And we will continue to use these very hard-working people because of value for price paid. The workmanship is excellent, the measuring and installation is efficiently done, and they stand behind their work. Do not be too quick to assign negative characteristics to them, simply because the staff and physical space do not present as highly marketed establishments may do. We ordered Carrera pre-fab counters and peninsula pieces from Kam Hing Marble, and are very pleased with the results. I was able to come to the shop to see the pieces before having to purchase them. Eric, who answers the phone was very helpful. I asked him to come to the job site with me, as I was a little worried about the details getting lost in translation. It turns out this was not really necessary, and the installers did a great job. Pre-fab is really the way to go for your kitchen counters if you are looking to save $$. We had been pricing out quartz countertops at many places including Lowes, Home Depot, the Countertop store, and a couple of other smaller ones including Sincere Home Decor and some other chinese shops. These guys beat all their quotes and came in at about 75% of the others. (we got Cambria Whitney). They had the materials in the shop when we were ready for them (we were going through a major kitchen remodeling project). They came in to do the templates and within a week were able to deliver as promised. Quality of work was excellent. I highly recommend these guys. read more

We're undergoing endless home remodeling, only thing I can't be happier is the work by Kam Hing Marble Company. We got a Carrara marble slab from Integrated Resources, and Nella at Kam Hing was very helpful with planning the layout (we're pretty tight on the footprint as we wanted to use the slab for curvy vanity top, kitchen island, and kitchen counter). Everything went really smoothly, one visit for measurement, and the second visit for installation. I'd be happy to post some photos later but so far we're super happy for the quality of work, the efficiency of all the staffs, and their competitive pricing. Recently, I've purchased the Rivery White granite counter-tops from Union Stone. And, I requested them to do the installation for my granite counter-tops as well. When I walked into this store, my eyes were amazed by the wide-selection of stone. They carry marble and granite counter-tops, silestone, corian, Ice-stone and caesarstone. I wasn't sure about which material would match with the cherry cabinet, but the boss Janet and Raymond have shown me some pictures in the magazine. Janet has quoted me $1,300 for my kitchen counter-tops originally, but I haggled with her for lower price. Finally, she offered me $950. The price was incredibly cheap, and I liked the veins and purple dots on the material. I am really appreciated for all their help, most of my friends like my newly furnished kitchen counter-tops. And, I really like their professional workmanship, they have spent less than four hours to complete my kitchen counter-tops and their workers are really friendly and patience. She and her parents were very helpful and very careful to check and double check all the measurements since it was a large piece and has 2 sinks. Although the prices are good, I would not recommend this place unless you are an expert on stone or have previously done a remodel. My contractor recommended them and I was sorely disappointed with my experience. It was my first kitchen remodel, which I told them right off the bat, so I expected to have things well explained for my clueless self. Wrong. I asked to give me the selection of the cheapest stone they had, instead I was shown the most expensive. Hence when I chose and sent my measurements, I almost had a heart attack when I saw the estimate. So I went down AGAIN to ensure they quoted the right one, which is when I found out I had selected the priciest stone. As to not have any more surprises, I asked for my estimate in writing. Then my project started and while I was out of the country and deposit down, construction in full swing, they call my contractor to ask him what edge I would like. Oh, and it's another $750. Seriously?? Yup, they knew I was abroad and we had to stop construction and I had to go down there for a third time to sort it out, straight off the plane after 36 hours of traveling home from Asia. No apology, only a small discount, my project pushed out 2 weeks. Go to Loews, so not worth it. read more

After visiting almost all the stone fabricator place in SF and on the peninsula. Kam Hing wins out. They have very limited prefab selections, but carries all other major brands of quartz. We end up with Caesar Stone. Total cost is the lowest we could find anywhere. Most importantly, the fabrication is flawless. read more

I randomly did a search on Yelp for a marble shop because we wanted to get a little piece of stone for a shower niche. They happened to be opened today, gave them a quick call and then we dropped by. They had a piece of quartz remnant they were able to cut for us to fit into the shower niche. 15 minutes tops and it came out beautiful! Nella is awesome and super friendly! Really good family biz--we got screwed by Uni Stone (they sold our stone and tried to install the wrong one!), and these folks stepped up, found us something they had and we were installed (beautifully and with care) in a few days. There were a couple of small things that needed their attention and they sent over people to fix it pronto. Definitely recommend them. It was a small job (just one long kitchen counter cut for overmount sink) but they came through. LOVE the marble-look of the manufactured quartz (like Caesarstone). read more

I ordered 4 pcs of Carrara white marble HONED from them. This place won't let you see or pick your countertops as their warehouse is in different location, not accesible to customers. Two weeks later my installers brought these to the job site.... and to my surprise they were polished ( mirror shiny) pieces. I called the KAM HING, thinking it is some kind of mistake, but they kept insisting it was honed. Three of my installers talked with them, also stating it is polished, but to no avail. The chinese lady in charge declared them "honed". Finally she agreed to a return saying "I don't want more trouble"????? Upon returning she refunded $30 less the purchase price!!!!! DON'T BUY HONED from them!!!! Low quality, polished stuff, and they ripp you off, at the return, additionally, for their ignorance. BE AWARE, INSIST ON SEEING THE MATERIAL BEFORE YOU BUY. AS IN MOST OF THE CHINESE PLACES, FULL REFUNDS AND RETURNS ARE VERY PROBLEMATIC, REGARDLESS IF IT IS THEIR FAULT. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. read more

Awesome Job as usual on the kitchen you fabricated for my clients. I am a Custom Home Builder in San Francisco. I have used Kam Hing Marble on several projects. If you know anything about Fabricators you will find that the price range is drastically different, and so is the quality of workmanship. If you want quality for a reasonable price this is the place to go. If you want the cheapest possible bid, this may also be the place to go. I read a review that stated someone had to come back from Asia to discuss a price change between a standard bullnose and a Miter edge... which takes a lot more time to fabricate. I feel sorry for this person and would like to let everyone know that if you hire a good contractor/builder this, along with many other horrid issues that can happen during a remodel will not happen. You could go on a vacation and feel great knowing that my company has handled all the details with you up front. Keep doing what you do Kam Hing Marble!
