I came in for a haircut on a Friday afternoon 05/17/22 on a walk-in. I asked for 2 inches cut off and a lot of layers to thin out how much I had. The amount cut off was around 4-5 inches. The face framing bangs were also cut thicker than it's supposed to be. The haircut itself took less than half an hour. I'm upset with how much was cut off, especially since the cut looks more like a wolf-cut, and nothing felt cut on purpose. I should have listened to my gut and other reviews. The cut with tip cost $35. There is no student discount like the answer from 2017. I feel bad for leaving a bad review but I needed to share my experience as well as photos of the inside. read more

Cute little shop, quiet and pleasing atmosphere. They offer mani, pedi, eyebrow, and hair. Today I happened to get all four, since I have a very busy schedule with school and don't have time to get them done often. I got all 4 done for only $60! (With Yelp check in promotion) Overall very low prices. I was very pleased with my cosmetologist, Kim. I highly recommend her if you can come in on the weekend! Apparently they were short one lady (I heard this because they told a customer who walked in and wanted to get her nails done to come again tomorrow) It's my first time getting a gel French manicure and I think the owner, Demi did a decent job. She was super sweet took her time, but I still feel like the outcome could've been better. It looks lumpy and bubbly on some nails. Well, maybe it wasn't my day! The nail work was not good. I didn't have anything on my nail for 3 month to help them nourish and become stronger. I got the sloppiest nail polish of my entire life. No base coat, very very sloppy polish coverage, no drying by fan so it was wet 1 hour after I left the store. Just check the photos. I spent 15$ for that nail job, which is the same as everywhere else that I've been in Davis. So for sure not cheaper for such a disastrous job. read more

Ruined my hair!! First and last time here. The haircut looked nothing like the picture I showed. The picture was a simple straight across cut, but this is what I got. I didn't ask to be a palm tree. Extremely rough with my hair and rushed through everything because I was a walk-in customer. Everyone who saw my hair said the hair dresser did a terrible job and I agree. This is only for a hair cut- I called to make an appointment and was asked if I could come in for a haircut within the next 20 minutes. When I showed up there was another customer getting her nails done and chatting it up. The staff was friendly and they had regulars coming in throughout my appointment. Each one of them was told about a 15 minutes wait which I'm not sure how that was going to work out since only two people were working and they each had more than 15 mins of work left to do. I took it as a good sign when people stuck around, however the way the woman was cutting my hair worried me. One side was being cut more than the other and she tried to cut my hair in a way to make it seem fuller, yet it just seemed choppy. I had asked for long layers since I'm growing my hair out, yet I got a lot of uneven layers that I had to try to correct once I got home. When I went to pay for my haircut I used a credit card which they charge $0.25-.50, (I can't remember which) to run your card. When I went to sign I realized they had only charged me $0.25 instead of $25. I told the woman the mistake and said I'd pay with cash since I didn't want another charge to run my card. I have a feeling it would be a good spot to get your nails done or a men's haircut but I wouldn't recommend a woman's haircut here. read more

I went in and received the worst haircut of my life. My hair is completely uneven months later that it's laughable. I don't think they know how to work with curly hair and would not recommend this place at all. They wanted to cut my hair without even washing it which is unheard of with curly hair. The prices may be cheap but that reflects the poor quality. Would NEVER use again or recommend. Save your hair... find somewhere else. read more

I was in town running errands after dropping the kids off at school. I was looking for a walk in hair cut place. This is hard to find especially in Davis when everyone is appointment only. I wanted to get a much needed hair cut! I walked in and Demi (new owner) right away greeted me. I was able to get my hair cut and styled. Demi did a great job cutting off my dead ends and layering and styling my hair with a flat iron. My hair feels so soft and healthy again!This place is GREAT and Demi is good at what she does. Under new ownership. I am so unhappy and devastated by my haircut. I had hair that was at my belly button, past my waist and was long and wavy and gorgeous. I don't trust people to touch my hair and the haircut I got here is why. I came in and asked for a TRIM. No more than 2 inches I said. A two inch trim would make my hair an inch above my belly button. I showed her on my hair how much I wanted cut. Then she began cutting and would pull my hair back behind me and I didn't see how much was being chopped off. My jaw dropped when she brought my hair around to my face. My gorgeous hair was now two inches below my shoulders, not even covering my nipples, sorry, tmi, but she chopped off SEVEN INCHES OF HAIR. 7 inches. Just gone. On the floor. I have grown my hair out to this length for years. I was so upset I couldn't even talk. I just said thanks and paid then left. So now I'm left with a terrible and choppy haircut because the stylist wouldn't listen. I had to tell her that I felt she was cutting off more than I wanted. I was right. She will not respect what you want or ask for. I'm disgusted by this and my haircut and will be leaving my hair in a ponytail for the next few months until it grows out past this awkward length. read more

First time being at this hair cut salon and it feels like "home". I got to the place almost exactly 10am for my appointment with Demi. I actually bumped into her right at the parking area and just blatantly asked her "are you Demi?". She said "yes and greeted me and my sister even though she didn't know I was her 10 am Appt" and my sister was going to be a walk-in customer because she wanted to see how my hair turned out first. I was a bit nervous at first but then Demi asked me how I wanted my hair cuts and I am so happy that she actually took the time and explained to me each steps of the way. Since I am also Asian, she suggested colors that are best suited for me and I am glad I took her advice because it turned out awesome! Not only did I got a cut but a very nice copper color highlights; which I am totally happy with. Even my hubby said it looks nice and he hardly makes any comments whenever I did something new to my hair, so this is the first‍. My daughter and I went in without an appointment and they quickly attended to us. We both had a standard pedicure and it was so luxurious! I have been to other nail salons in town and have felt rushed, but the leg scrub and hot stone massage were a pleasant surprise, especially for the very reasonable price! My teen daughter just said, "this was the pedicure of my life!"....now that's a compliment! I really appreciated the cleanliness of the pedicure chairs, they removed a tub insert between customers with new instrumentation as well. I came here because I live nearby and am new to the area. I didn't know what to expect. The 2 woman cutting hair were friendly. The woman who cut my hair didn't know how to properly care for my hair. I have curly hair and it's not easy to cut compared to that of someone with straight hair. She proceeded to brush it and asked if she could straighten it so that it would cut evenly stating "it will not work to cut curly hair so can I straighten it?" I was shocked she didn't know as a professional how to cut my hair. If anyone knows that's a number one rule for curly hair of what not to do. You must first wet it and cut it. Haircut was decent! Never going back. I was indifferent about haircut because she kept brushing it and curly hair shouldn't be brushed too much. So I immediately went home to see the length after my shower. read more
