We came in as a party of 2 on Saturday at 11:00 AM on the dot. It was nice to relax and chill out in their sporty and roomy dining room. We both ordered the same thing-a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries, and while we waited I enjoyed a Negro Modelo. The buffalo chicken sandwich was great! I think that they did great with the bread and the chicken. It was very satisfying. The fries were good too. I appreciated that we got all of the flavors of a greasy spoon without any grease! Terrible food! The restaurants website makes it seem like it's all British. The website clearly has a completely different menu! This restaurant offered 4 British choice. I was very unsure about this place because we wanted to do Karaoke! So anywho we went after 10pm on Saturday! We ordered our drinks and for a pub they make an amazing margarita! It was in the cutest glass with little glittery stars in it. The guy doing karaoke was very nice and actually found the song I wanted to sing and my friends and I enjoyed our time. The place was literally dead when we got there with only two patrons so we were a bit worried to enter but glad we did! Within 30 minutes of singing our little hearts out the place was pretty packed! If your watching football in a college dorm then you may possibly be happy enough with them but if expectation is only slightly above that bar then disappointment is in your future. The food is good. Well, let me clarify: the bacon wrapped dates & the bangers are good. The rest is so-so. Toad In the Hole is really good, but takes too long and often comes out with burnt bangers, which some people might like, but I don't. My biggest issue with this place is the staff. They are friendly enough, but they're more concerned with flirting with the regulars or fighting with the grumpy old boss. Example: last visit we popped in for a meal (my hubs is from England and sometimes craves English fare, totally get that). We snuggled into a spot at the bar surrounded by loud, over-served guests. The bartender spent more time chatting and no time attending to us, or the people seated at the tables. It was annoying. Then, the grumpy old boss shows up out of nowhere and starts a fight with the bartender. Not a physical fight (young girl vs grizzled old man might have been fun to watch tho). They were straight up yelling at each other toward the end of it and I $h!t you not, EVERYONE left. We would have left faster but we had to wait for our tab. I went to Piccadilly Circus today for the first time in about 15-18 years. I had been living out of state. I ordered Shepherds Pie & my friend ordered Fish & Chips. The food & service was good. No complaints there. My only complaint is the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors were filthy & very dusty. Our table was sticky. The condiments on the table were so sticky & gooey with old food. The mustard container was caked with old mustard under the lid. We had to clean it before any mustard would come out of the plastic bottle. The salt & pepper shakers were sticky with .....who knows what. The restroom was so disgustingly dirty I can't even think about it. This makes me wonder if the restaurant & dining area is this dirty what must the kitchen be like. I only came here for some booze, as my friend who's from Snohomish and who I was with when we visited, referred Piccadilly Circus as the place where all the hometown kids go. And she was right. She knew most of the people at this bar/circus from high school. Service was horribly slow. If you grab a table, remember to order at the bar. Granted, we did visit when it was around 11PM, so post-dinner, and am not sure if it differs when people come for food. But get your beer at the bar if you're here late into the night. It seemed like there was only one bartender for a crowd of people on a Saturday night. They do karaoke on Saturdays, at least when we visited! It was super fun and yes, I was drunk enough to partake. The DJ was also super friendly and would sing along to all the karaoke songs and would make you dance. Be prepared! Crowd was chill though, which I liked. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the karaoke and singing with. Dogs are allowed! I loved that when we visited there were so many dogs with their owners, hanging out at the bar. We stopped here for lunch while browsing the cute little shops in old town Snohomish. They have a sign posted on the window saying "service dog on premises." they did in fact have three dogs in the restaurant, and I can tell you that they were definitely not service dogs. They roamed the dining area eating bits of food that people may have dropped on the floor, which was actually quite a bit. That was extremely offputting to us, and we should have left, except that we were already settled in when we noticed not one but three dogs, and we just wanted our food. The dining area was run down and not clean. I ordered the lentil soup, and when it arrived I did not see any lentils in it, so I asked the man who brought it to my table, presumably the owner, if it was in fact lentil soup because I didn't see any lentils. He gave me a sarcastic reply which brought me up short. My food was mediocre, while my husband said his shepherds pie was very good. Went here to watch the Seahawks game today and will never come back. When me and my girlfriend entered we were shocked that no one was there, complete ghost town. We sat down at the bar and ordered a drink, super nice and friendly bartender. After watching the game we ordered food. Shortly after we received our food, the woman in the kitchen felt the need to come out and start talking badly about the Seahawks; "fuck the Seahawks" she said, The Seahawks deserve to lose". Now remember, me and my girlfriend came here to watch the Seahawks game, there was no one else in this place, and the woman in the kitchen felt the need to come out and disrespect me by talking shit about my team, and the only reason I was in this establishment. Needless to say, we left. I made sure I asked the bartender that he got my tip and it wouldn't be going to the twat in the kitchen. I will never go back to this joint and I see why it was a complete ghost town when we showed up. RACIST BAR my group got kicked out when we had 4 Hispanic people with us and we were taking a picture by the pool table doing nothing wrong. 3 other groups were all allowed to stay including a drunk girl who grabbed my ass. This review is long overdue, but I really enjoyed this pub. We had just completed a 4-hour hike and were starving and looked for a place to eat as we were returning to Seattle. My wife suggested "the British Pub". Though I frowned at her choice, I couldn't have been more pleased. It's always a good sign when you see a dog resting comfortably at the front door. After some friendly banter with our waitress, we ordered - a regular burger for the kiddo, and I'll confess not remembering that my wife ordered because I was to overjoyed with the Big A** Cheeseburger. Yes, that's what the call it, though I removed the double-ss to avoid the Yelp filters and flags. It was one of the best burgers of 2019. ( I told you, this review is a little late.) I can't wait to eat here the next time we're in Snohomish. It is hands-down my favorite lunch place because you know, you can't always have pie for lunch. My husband and I came here for late lunch/very early dinner last summer. The bar was dark and cool, with just a couple of other patrons at the bar and one table taken which was quickly vacated. The bartender was friendly, the drink selection was fine, and the shots were cold. Since I grew up in Great Britain, I started asking the bartender about the dishes on the menu, and she told me that the owner and his wife are both from Britain and they also do the cooking. I ordered the cornish pasty and my husband ordered the bangers and mash. Both came with mash, peas/carrots, and gravy, which made me very happy. The pasty actually seemed more like it was pre-made, but that's my favorite kind anyway (hello, British school lunchroom!), so I would have given the food five stars. After the owner arrived about halfway through our meal, the atmosphere took a turn for the worse. He was unfriendly and as others have stated, he lets his dog run around inside the bar (possibly the kitchen too, but couldn't say for sure). I'm a dog lover, but even I know that's a potential health code violation. We may be back if we're in the area, but we might prefer to give some love to some of the other taverns/bars in the area. read more

Pretty cool when you walk in, gives you a English pub vibe but all goes down hill from there. Extremely non-maintained, old, dinghy, and short staffed. Although they have a cute old dog as their "mascot/keeper" of the pub, not enough for me to come back. Food was blah and pricey for just meh....I mean the dishes sounded good on the menu for some good old Pub food, but did not deliver on taste or presentation. Had a wide selection of beer on tap and libations. We waited almost an hour for our food when we were one of two parties of four there. The poor bartender/waitress/busser was hustling to try to keep up with all the patrons pouring in from a event on main st, guessing since all other places were long waits to eventually she had to tell people although there is seating that it would be a long wait (1 hour plus). Gave them 2 stars due to how hard the only front of house staff (they lone waitress/bartender/busser) was working and making due with the best that she had. No one greeted me or even acknowledged my presence, except two dogs. I stuck around out of respect for the dogs. After seating myself by the window, I waited for service. After 7 minutes, a family of six walked in and were promptly seated by the other window, and given menus. The waitress/bartender did not so much as glance my direction even though I was staring right at her. After 5 more minutes of being ignored, I slowly packed up my gear and left. I went to a place a few doors down, which was packed. I was seated and had my order taken in around 3-4 minutes. I would not complain about waiting 12 minutes for my food, after ordering on a busy night, if it's good. But to not even be acknowledged by 3 staff members with only a few customers in the house? And when I asked if there was a difference in cost with card v cash and the manager explained the taxes and credit card tax but it was CHEAPER with card than cash. How does that make sense? At the one hour mark I went up to the bar and asked if we could at least get the salad (bagged lettuce and dressing). She said "no". No one else had gotten food in that hour as well so what was the hold up? Was the cook even there? No orders were coming out. Supposedly the bartender said it was just her and the cook. The GM who once again was completely wasted was starting to get very hostile and argumentative when we were just asking why there was a difference in price. She drunkenly tried explaining that if you pay cash verse card and night verse day there was a difference (honestly she was just talking in circles).... one of us informed her that they really shouldn't be working intoxicated and she proceeded to say well today is my day off.... okay what about your bartender?! The shepherds pie, the stew, the peas, the carrots, and the mashed potatoes. Any kind of meat on a sandwich is going to be bone dry. What to pick? The best item on here is the fish and chips, which is a British classic, so it's nice to see that score a point or two. It's amazing what a lot of fried oil can do in terms of taste. Indeed quite. Drinks? Forget getting a well made classic, heck, forget getting a poorly made classic. Order beer. Always. First it gives you more of the British pub feel, but more importantly you're bound to be disappointed with anything mixed. I suppose you could also order something straight up. Ambiance & Service: Set on the main strip in Snohomish (1st Ave), it's got a prime location. You're a quick walk to Fred's Rivertown Ale House or the Snohomish river. You'd be better of drinking at, or out, of either of those places. If you head up the street you'll end up at some of the more country/biker bar areas, which at least are a bit more interesting. Surrounded in between--antiques. Lots, and lots of antiques. Inside what will you find? A British pub with a Premier League crowd and rowdy friends? Nahh, don't be fooled by the soccer/football scarves on the wall, this place attracts more of a Jaegerbomb crowd, like a scene out of a Eugene Oregon frat rush in circa 2003. You'll also find empty tables and chairs. Lots of them. Empty on the weekdays, and pretty light on the weekends, it's not place to make friends and watch football as it were. Service is practically non-existent. There have been 500 word essays written on Yelp about the hosting/busing/cooking/bartending prowess of the owner, so I'll skip that. Suffice it to say that it takes a great deal of effort to get taken care of at the bar, and at no point will you feel welcomed or cared for. I don't think, like many others do, that it's a question of skill or ability. It just seems like customers aren't valued and are more of a nuisance than anything. Insider Tip: Don't go. Final Thoughts: Given my experiences, the reviews on Yelp, and how empty this place is even on weekends, I don't know how it stays in the business. it was a lazy and very hot saturday afternoon antiquing in the city of Snohomish. we were so hot. we ducked into Piccadilly Circus. we sat at the bar. the bartender was attentive and friendly and informative. due to poor planning, both of us decided on the Bangers and Mash. it took longer than expected to be served and we were forced to drink more beer; but the bartender kept us updated on the delivery status, which is what anyone ever wants, yes? in the end, it was a delicious dish. i would return to Snohomish and Piccadilly Circus to taste the rest of their english pub-ish menu. Got that local feel...like really local to the point where probably the same handful of people go there and most times you walk by you're not sure if it's open because it tends to be empty. Service is slow because the same group of people who go there are conversing with the staff. Wasn't too impressed with the fish and chips. The fish was a large piece but didn't taste fresh. They charge for "splitting" a meal. Ok sure, charge me if you have to physically move half the meal onto another plate. But they don't even do that. You're better off just saying "I'm not eating." I've come here a couple times with a big group of friends. The karaoke is awesome and the line has multiple singers but still reasonable enough that we each get to sing a couple of times. The bar service is awesome even when it's super busy. The bartender has a "signature" tequila drink she makes that is SO GOOD. They also sell sandwiches at the bar all night and my best friend loves them. He literally took one in his pocket to go through the night as we bar hopped. Love this place. read more

Horrible experience, wish I could give a zero - I lost my iPhone 7 and asked the bartender Alyssa if she seen or had an iPhone turned in? She said the only iPhone she has seen was hers and she continued to say how dare you accuse me of stealing your phone and at this point her brother who was wasted and her friend chipped in and were extremely rude to me, I said I was sorry and left. When I went outside I grabbed my friend who was sober that came at the end to pick us up who saw Alyssa the bartender take my iPhone 7 from the bar and say aloud to my friend and others at the bar oooh a free new iPhone 7 and put it behind the counter. I brought my friend who saw her do this inside to confront Alyssa about taking my phone. Once Alyssa was confronted she pulled my iPhone 7 out from behind the bar and said oh is this the phone you are talking about and gave me the phone. I said I was going to call the police and her friend tried to intimidate me and pushed me outside. I couldn't believe how dishonest and rude ALYSSA the bartender was. Piccadilly has some excellent traditional English lunch and dinner food. I've had the fish and chips, and the pastie (pah stee, like a meat pie in a hotpocket). Both have been excellent, and the people that showed me the place have been there multiple times and said all the food is absolutely excellent. It all seems home cooked and you can't go wrong coming here for a meal and drink. On the draft beer selection - absolutely awesome selection, one of the best I've seen in the US. Don't let the negative reviews dissuade you from giving it a try. It seems like they are focusing on the pub style of service rather than the actual quality and flavor of the food. I went here for a little get together for a friend who was in town from AZ. This is supposed to be an english-stule pub, and it fails miserably at that. Their food, although i havent tried it, seemed pretty overpriced (8.00 for bar mozarella sticks??? huh???what??? yah right... im not that hungry, just a little munchy... ill just wait till i get back to everett to munch that day old slice of little caesars in the fridge). The wait staff was a little dingy (as in ding dong, dingbat, or dingleberry). BUT I digress, the bartender made me the most proper black opals i have had in ages. When you see that beautiful big glass of ice with four bottles of liquor going into it, then topped with a splash of sweet and sour not from a tap, and a lovely swirl of REAL chambord, well its enough to make you cry... that is a REAL bartender.
