    Lemon Cheesecake & Tiramisu
    Luckens L.

Piccola is an absolute must try Italian cuisine in NYC. I visited the Brooklyn location and walked into a great vibe inside they also have outdoor seating. One of my best date nights ever. The service provided by each server was really good, we got to try a few wine to see which one was like the best and the food came out fast and fresh to order. My steak was tasted fresh, tender not overly cooked and the mashed with black truffle was delicious. I had the lemon cheesecake 10/10!! And they assembled the tiramisu in front of us. Really really good choice. If you're reading this book a reservation ASAP!!

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! I found this place (walking distance from the place we were staying) and made a reservation in advance. We were visiting Brooklyn and just got off a long flight, desperately needed some food and some time to decompress. This was exactly what we needed! From the moment we walked in, we felt like valued guests! Service is so warm and friendly, and the food was outstanding! We had grilled octopt, chicken Milanese and lasagna, and of course the complimentary focaccia. All was delicious! I could eat here every single day!

Such a great experience, the ambiance is dim but enough noise to bring your kids along for date night. Huge plus for us as a family of 5. The warm bread to start really helped settle the table, the dipping oil on the side was delish. My husband got the seafood pasta per our waitresses recommendation. It was creamy and delicious, very flavorful. I ordered the skirt steak, truffle mash and chimichurri, really great dish and I think the overall favorite of the night. My kids inhaled the steak rather quickly LOL We got the seafood and veggie fried platter situation and it was also great for the entire table. Kids loved the fried shrimps and calamari was cooked to perfection. I couldn't stop dipping my fried zucchini into the side of ricotta. Loved the fresh pasta being in our view while we enjoyed dinner. My daughters also loved the Caesar salad and the grilled chicken was the perfect addition. The table side tiramisu was such a delightful end to our already fantastic dinner. I would recommend if in the area they really know what they're doing here.

This was delicious. All of the food was fantastic. Genuinely one of the best Caesar salad I've ever had. The pasta was also perfectly cooked and made fresh right in the middle of the restaurant. The bread they brought us before the food was also insane. The servers were great and the place was nice. There's good outside seating and a cute bar. This is the perfect place for a date or really any nice meal out. Highly recommend.

My husband and I are beyond excited to discover a Brooklyn location of Piccola Cucina! We've been going to the Nevins location lately instead of traveling all the way to Manhattan. It's so much more convenient commute-wise. Their pasta never disappoints. It's perfectly cooked, not too al dente, and not too soft. The mashed potatoes that come with the steak were surprisingly good too! The only small thing I'd mention is that we asked for medium, but it came out medium rare but still tasty, just a bit chewy. The tiramisu is amazing! They make it fresh right in front of you! The waiter whisked the egg whites, mixed in the sugar, and combined everything to create the tiramisu on the spot. It was quite an experience to watch. The Greta cocktail is very sweet, which I love! I usually visit around early dinner or so, and the ambiance is cozy in the evening. The lighting is soft and charming, and the candlelight on each table just makes you feel so relaxed - it almost makes you forget it's still a work night. Service is never an issue at Piccola Cucina - their staff is always wonderful!

Just checked in to our hotel and looked for something close for an early dinner.......Thanks fellow Yelpers!!!! Your reviews were spot on! Got reservation for a seating within 45 minutes. Small intimate, typically cramped NYC neighborhood spot. Elegant feel with outstanding service. Swordfish appetizer, not what I expected, but outstanding nevertheless. Caesar Salad was not traditional and a bit disappointing. Branzino was outstanding as was the Lobster Linguine special which they customized the sauce on my request yo a simple olive oil and garlic. Very attentive and friendly service.

When I dine at great restaurants in Manhattan, of course, my question is " Can the magic be replicated in Brooklyn?" Of course opening one up in Bay Ridge* makes this Yelpie very very happpppyyyyyyy..Thus, when my Yelp friend Sharon texted me if I've eaten at Piccolo Cucina Casa in Brooklyn my response was: " They've opened one in Brooklyn????". Wow, somebody IS really listening to me!!!!! Wow, the power I have!!!" LolYes, it is located on a pretty block on Nevins Street. When we entered this beautiful rustic space my eyes, palate and yes, my heart were ecstatic. The space is much bigger than my fave Spring Street location. The beautiful bar is a great way to start your evening. Now, for the important part, the menu.. offering the same entrees as Spring Street? Yes! I already knew I was ordering the pasta Alla Norma, my go to dish. But wait.. this Artichoke salad aka Carciofi Romana is new to me?!I had to try it and Sharon was game. First, a delicious serving of Focaccia with rosemary was placed on our table with their "secret herb" dipping sauce. One bite and I was in Focaccia paradise: fresh, the rosemary was just delicious and the golden bread light as a feather. What Italian God baked this? Then the Artichoke salad, Carciofi Romano, stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes, avocados, arugula and Parmesan cheese; scrumptious and perfect to eat on a hot summer day. Then our main dishes, the Pasta Alla Norma, their vibrant Sicilian pasta dish with fried eggplant, rich tomato sauce and ricotta salata cheese and maccheroni pasta. Delizioso! Sharon ordered Lobatello di manzo: skirt steak served with truffle mashed potatoes and chimichurri sauce. She enjoyed it very much. Wow a mini tour of Italy with 3 dishes: Sicily, Puglia and Lazio! The service is phenomenal, attentive and friendly. I recognized one of the staff members from Spring Street who now works here ( I forgot her name, forgive me) but glad she is here! But I expected that, because I've now dined at all Piccolo Cucina locations and always received superior service. Piccolo Cucina Casa has an extensive wine list and delectable desserts. There are also rooms upstairs for private events and outdoor seating. Wow.. all I can say to entire Piccolo Cucina locations: Graze per il tuo cibo sempre delizioso! ( Thank you for serving consistently delicious food) * ahh you noticed, Piccolo if you opened one location in Brooklyn, perhaps another... maybe.. Bay Ridge??? After all, mi casa, su casa! Piccolo Cucina Casa is located at 141 Nevins Street, Brooklyn NY B37 to Dean Street, 3 minute walk D, N, or R train to Atlantic Avenue, exit at Pacific Street and 4th Avenue, 6 minute walk

This place is so beautiful and vibey, we absolutely loved it!!! All of the staff was so kind and personable, especially Victor who we'd come back for even if the food wasn't fantastic! The tagliatelle verdi and cannolis are a MUST, but you really can't go wrong!

Walked in for one person. And was seated right away. The pasta is hand made Food is pretty good. Also nice ambiance. Lighting would be perfect for a night date

I cannot recommend this more! One of the best Italian places I've been to! Ambience: the vibe of this place is immaculate! They have chefs making fresh pasta and you can see it! I saw someone order the bucatini- and they prepare it in front of you (it looked amazing). Outside of that, the waiters and bar tender were amazing! They were speaking Italian and you can tell how much they cared about the people at the restaurant. I also loved the decor and lighting! Very romantic and comfortable Service: incredible service! They were fast but did not rush you out which I thoroughly appreciated! Everyone was so friendly and kind Food: the food was amazing! I'd definitely go back again any day for some of the pasta! We got the squash blossoms - which was an explosion of flavor in your mouth! I loved it! The gnocchi was so well made (but also just a tad bit too salty)! The tagliatelle with wild boar ragu was amazing - 10/10 would get this dish again! It doesn't feel like you can go wrong here Price: reasonably priced for everything - although I do think the apps were really pricey (almost the price of a pasta dish)

The most delicious Sicilian food in town. Everything tastes fresh, homemade and full of flavor. The vibes are always amazing - lively, warm, and welcoming. One of those places you keep coming back to because it never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Wounded warriors NOT welcomed here! Unbelievably, this restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. I asked the manager why they didn't have access for me and she replied "I don't know". Even portable ramps ($30 on Amazon) would be fine. If you know a wounded warrior or any disabled person, you should not eat here.

It can't be easy to stay true to who you are in this ever changing world. With today's social media heavy and influencer dominated marketing, this restaurant sits on a quiet street in Brooklyn just going about its business. Known as an Italian red sauce shop that served all walks of life, including possibly the mafia, this place has seen it all. If only the walls can talk, I could imagine all the stories it holds. Our friendly waiter has been there for 20+ years and shared some of his experiences and memories. It was a nice bonus to our meal for four. For appetizers, we had some Clams Oreganata (8/10), Fried Calamari (8/10), and Roasted Peppers w/ Anchovies (8/10). I would say that these three starters were the highlights of the meal. The entrees were not bad, just not as outstanding as their appetizer counterparts. My favorite of the bunch was the Eggplant Parmigiana (8/10), which was delicious and well made. The other three items, Pork Chop alla Bamonte's (6/10), Ravioli w/ Meat Sauce (7/10), and Rigatoni w/ Sausage & Broccoli Rabe (7/10), were all decent, but nothing special. By the end of the meal, four of us all agreed that it was a fun experience. With all the great options for Italian cuisine in NYC, it's not somewhere that stands out enough for regular visits. However, I would stop by if I was in the neighborhood.

Rating: 3.5/5 I…read morediscovered this restaurant on Instagram as one of the top Italian restaurants in NYC, so I decided to try it. It appeared to be family-owned in Williamsburg and consistently drew a large crowd throughout the day and night. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was keen to maximize seating, with diners placed very close to one another. The restaurant appeared to have a very old-school vibe; maybe that was the theme they were going for? The food ordered was: 1. Calamari - They weren't overly fried or coated with breading. Tender, and not rough. Flavorful enough; no sauce was needed (although it was included). A good appetizer. 2. Rigatoni with vodka sauce - Maybe it's my taste buds, but I also thought the sauce lacked seasoning and flavor overall. The pasta was cooked well (al dente), but the lack of flavor from the sauce ruined the dish. I was really excited about this dish! 3. Cavatelli with Bolognese Sauce - I've had bolognese sauce before, & this dish was just weird. It felt like they just did it within 5 minutes of cooking time, & it was something you could've just made at home yourself with a jar of Prego sauce. It also lacked seasoning. 4. Chicken Parmigiana - I'm a huge chicken parmigiana fan, and I feel like it's always a must if you eat at any Italian restaurant. This dish was well seasoned, not overly fried, not heavily covered with cheese, and smothered in a good amount of sauce. The chicken wasn't dry either; it was tender. Weird part was it was served with a side of string beans & potatoes, not pasta. This was one of the best dishes of the night though. 5. Chicken Marsala - Just like the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tender & wasn't dry. It's easy to overcook chicken becoming dry, but the two chicken dishes weren't. Very flavorful & a good amount of mushrooms added for garnish as well. Same with the chicken parm, string beans & potato's as a side and not pasta. 6. Linguine with White Clam Sauce - I'm allergic to shellfish, so I did not try this dish, but my table said it was tasty. Overall, I thought the food wasn't as good as I thought. I felt like because this restaurant was hyped up on social media & they know it'll always attract business because of it, the pricing to food portion ratio did not correlate. It's a little on the pricey side for the amount of food you'd get, but maybe it's because of the rent since it is Williamsburg (but they've been around since the 1900s though), the pricing of ingredients, or the quality of the ingredients (import ingredients?). The menu said the pasta was homemade. Another thing was, just like another reviewer mentioned, I felt my table was rushed out the door. We weren't even finished eating and we could feel they were eyeing the table, probably becausd I was with a large party. We weren't even sitting for too long either. The waiter who served my table, whose name I didn't catch, was friendly and polite though. Anyways, this is my take on this restaurant. Maybe this is how old school Italian restaurants are supposed to be & in terms of food too? Maybe you'll perhaps have a better experience than I did. Tip: Reservation recommended for dining in
