Great neighborhood spot with fantastic food. Came here on a Saturday for lunch and the weather was beautiful so would recommend sitting outside. We ordered the duck ragu with tagliatelle, avocado and tomato salad with grilled chicken, and the spinach ravioli (not pictured). The salad was so refreshing and you can tell that the EVOO was very high quality. Grilled chicken was cooked well. My fiancée really enjoyed the ragu and his dad said he was a big fan of the ravioli. This was my post Half Marathon place to eat and I cannot say enough of how accommodating and amazing this place was. It ended up being a change to 11 total people from 9 (the day of) and from 4 people originally (the night before). They were amazing about it all - with a lot of professionalism they were able to seat and accommodate all the requests of my crazy fam including 3 children! The food was phenomenal through and through from brunch items to their mains to the dessert! Wow everything I needed post race! We LOVED the fettuccine, thought the squid ink risotto was great, but the pork chop and duck ragu weren't worth it. I also thought the initial bread was very undercooked and the tapenade was un flavorful (despite having black olives). Started off with the fig jam, prosciutto di Parma & gorgonzola bruschetta, strong opening act. The fig and prosciutto were vibing, but the gorgonzola decided it was Beyoncé. Still: tasty, rich, indulgent. Main was a squid ink linguine special, like a love letter from the Adriatic. Heavy on clams (more than mussels or shrimp), which I was not mad about. Deep flavor, perfectly cooked pasta, zero complaints. Dessert? I think I had the torta d'olio, olive oil cake with orange zest and crème anglaise. Whatever it was, it slapped. Subtle, moist, not too sweet, dessert like Italians intended. Did they have Baileys? Nope. Did I care? Not really. They offered me an espresso and an espresso martini, and that felt like a culturally respectful compromise for a man like me: American by birth, Italian in my stomach. I recommend the black spaghetti, and the pasta with the short rib ragu -- this last dish has become a trend in several Italian eateries, and theirs is one of the best. My GF loves the shaved brussels sprouts. I was never of fan of this vegetable but she made me try them and I am a true believer now. I love this neighborhood spot in our area. The food is on point and on Mother's Day Sunday, they were able to manage myself plus my kiddos. They were quick to prioritize my hungry kids' orders and we were served promptly. One of kids refuses to eat anything but penne alla vodka. So I kindly ask if they can make something close to that and they obliged :) We had dessert as well which was a bit of a miss and always room for improvement- the mini cannolis special of the day were a miss as the cookie had a weird flavor and the cream wasn't flavorful. We also ordered a Chocolate Tartufo and we really wanted to like it. However, the chocolate cake was off putting. We finished it of course. The staff were above and beyond friendly. The GRILLED CALAMARI appetizer is seasoned to perfection and sits on top of arugula and marinated onions that taste better than pickled. The SPAGHETTI W CLAMS is the best I have ever had in my life. Bartender offered drinks right away, they also have some daily specials like a lychee martini which was surprisingly strong in a good way ;) black spaghetti with shrimp was my favorite, had a nice spicy arrabiata sauce, and I think some crispy pancetta bits for texture. It was a burrata toast and it was really delicious My wife got the pasta with the clams and she was satisfied with that I had the pappardelle and it was good too. A lovely corner restaurant that's been calling us to come in, so we did. Hubby and I came here for dinner while we were in the neighborhood. I called up to ask about a table and spoke with Gabriel. He said to walk in and will see what he can do. He added that sometimes we may need to wait for a few. So I got there to grab any available table while Hubby looked for a parking spot. Gabriel said he'd get us a parking spot in front of the restaurant, no worries. However, Hubby got a space somewhere, yay! So we had a table quite close to another table, but that's fine because the food smells so good! Our waitress named Taylor. She could be Taylor Swift's sister or cousin. With that red lipstick, what could go wrong? Very pretty red! We had a nice arugula salad with a fantastic taste of half corn on a cob and sweet peppers on top with grated parmesan cheese. This salad was incredible! Get it! Pay for it! Worth it! Then I ordered black linguini with crab meat. Another excellent flavor sauce is the crab meat mixed with Al Dante linguini. Now that's how you prepare the best pasta! Just like the Italian cafe in our neighborhood, too. Hubby ordered striped bass served with capers and spinach. I highly recommend all three dishes. We didn't end our journey with dessert because we were filled up. Believe it or not, no leftovers yay! That's the way we do it: money for nothing, and the food's not free! We had the best meals with excellent service from a look-alike Taylor Swift waitress. The whole team worked hard. A lot of actions here. We came on a weeknight and had no trouble getting a table. We shared the calamari, daily special, ravioli, and two desserts. Calamari: I wasn't a fan, it tasted kind of like seafood pasta. Daily special (pork chops with fig sauce): the pork chops were very overcooked and tough, but the sauce was good. Ravioli: this was very good, 10/10 Tiramisu: also very good 10/10. Super creamy! Anyway I pivoted from the Risotto (with sausage) to the parpadelle ragu. Great decision. Rossos was fine- but I expect different style of sausage I guess anyway. The Brussels sprouts salad was delish- I love it- so simple. The trebianno wine was excellent and the Parpadelle ragu was EXCELLENT. The pasta is what impressed me the most, close your eyes and dream of Italy. Even better, the pasta is organic and homemade "from New York grains." The high quality shines throughout. The Sunday brunch is wonderful. I tried the French toast for fun, it was fluffy and moist. The fresh strawberries were a nice addition and contrast to the Hazelnut crust. The food tasted rich but not overly so. Visually beautiful presentations, even for takeout orders. Plan to dine in person next time, hopefully will be able to get a spot. read more

I've ordered so much delivery/takeout from here, and trust when I say their pastas are perfectly al dente and absolutely delightful. The rigatoni with Grandma's Bolognese sauce (all the damn stars for this one), spaghetti with Manila clams in white wine sauce, pappardelle with honey-braised short rib ragu, black spaghetti with wild blue crab meat... it's all fantastic. In late December I finally dined "in" with outdoor seating. COVID times and global warming make for a hell of a team. Luckily they had really strong heat lamps; so hot, in fact, that they could've cooked my dinner on my head. Right outta the gate, we got complimentary bread that was warm and crispy outside but fluffy inside. It came with a marinara and olive sauce that was cold but tasty. For appetizers, the buffalo mozzarella with roasted butternut squash and mushrooms with brown butter vinaigrette was steaming hot and comforting and went well with the refreshing chew of the mozz. The vinaigrette was divine; reminiscent of balsamic glaze but less astringent and more buttery and full-flavored. The fig jam, Prosciutto di Parma, and Gorgonzola cheese bruschetta had a tasty combo of sweet, salty, creamy, and slightly pungent cheese, but although I expected the bread to be firmer and crusty, it was soft and broke apart while eating. I'd had the goat cheese and scallion ravioli with black olive-tomato butter before, and it was just as delicious this time. The filling was light yet decadent, and that slightly briny, full-bodied tomato sauce was next level. The sweet potato ravioli with mascarpone cheese and sage, on the other hand, underscored my general aversion to sweet AND creamy pastas. It was a bit too cloying, and the cream sauce made this really heavy and not as enjoyable. Overall, I'm so fortunate to call this a neighborhood spot. I was torn between three and opted for the rigatoni with grandma's bolognese sauce. Rigatoni had the signature chewy texture of freshly made pasta. Bolognese was rich and meaty. A very comfy dish. We shared a few starters at the table including a brussels sprouts salad, raviolis, beet and burrata dish, and a squash special. Raviolis were filled with cheese and were my favorite of the starters. They came in a creamy sauce. I liked the selection of wines by the glass. There were about ten options with a nice variety and reasonable pricing.
