I had an incredible dining experience at Piccoli Trattoria! This cozy little spot absolutely nails that intimate, authentic Italian vibe, and every dish I tried was outstanding. To start, I had the fig jam crostini--the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The creamy cheese paired with the fig jam on crispy bread was a flawless opener. For the main course, i had the duck. Cooked beautifully--crispy skin, juicy meat, and complemented by a flavorful sauce. It's not something you see on every menu, and they executed it perfectly. I finished with the tiramisu. Light, airy, just the right amount of espresso and cocoa--it was the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend if you're in Brooklyn and craving quality Italian!

Squid ink risotto, pork chop, and duck ragu

Pretty good Italian spot! I think the key to having a good time here is to pick the right items. We LOVED the fettuccine, thought the squid ink risotto was great, but the pork chop and duck ragu weren't worth it. I also thought the initial bread was very undercooked and the tapenade was un flavorful (despite having black olives). I think this place has a few standout dishes, but not everything is incredible.

(4.9/5) It's rare for a corner spot in 11215 to feel like a teleportation spell, but Piccoli Trattoria managed to drop me straight into the middle of Italy, not the tourist-splashed piazzas, but the kind of small, humming family-run place where the pasta is handmade, the wine is house-poured and honest, and nobody minds that your dogs are curled up off-leash beside you. Started off with the fig jam, prosciutto di Parma & gorgonzola bruschetta, strong opening act. The fig and prosciutto were vibing, but the gorgonzola decided it was Beyoncé. Still: tasty, rich, indulgent. Main was a squid ink linguine special, like a love letter from the Adriatic. Heavy on clams (more than mussels or shrimp), which I was not mad about. Deep flavor, perfectly cooked pasta, zero complaints. Dessert? I think I had the torta d'olio, olive oil cake with orange zest and crème anglaise. Whatever it was, it slapped. Subtle, moist, not too sweet, dessert like Italians intended. Did they have Baileys? Nope. Did I care? Not really. They offered me an espresso and an espresso martini, and that felt like a culturally respectful compromise for a man like me: American by birth, Italian in my stomach. Bonus points for solid house red. Extra bonus: they let Frida chill off-leash, just like in Paris. Everyone wins. Final take? If you're hungry for something sincere, intimate, and quietly incredible, this is your place. Just don't be surprised if you leave speaking in vowels and craving Amalfi sun. Corner of 14th & 6th Ave. Bring an appetite. Maybe a dog. Definitely a memory.

I love this neighborhood spot in our area. The food is on point and on Mother's Day Sunday, they were able to manage myself plus my kiddos. They were quick to prioritize my hungry kids' orders and we were served promptly. One of kids refuses to eat anything but penne alla vodka. So I kindly ask if they can make something close to that and they obliged :) We had dessert as well which was a bit of a miss and always room for improvement- the mini cannolis special of the day were a miss as the cookie had a weird flavor and the cream wasn't flavorful. We also ordered a Chocolate Tartufo and we really wanted to like it. However, the chocolate cake was off putting. We finished it of course. The staff were above and beyond friendly. I do love their risotto so I will be back!

The BEST spaghetti and clams I've EVER tasted

I've given alot of 5 star reviews, but when I eat at a place like this, I realize I've been far too generous. This place is well deserving of 5 stars plus. Literally the BEST Italian food & service I've ever had, hands down. And I live in an area that has tons of Italian options but drive to Park Slope for this gem. I HIGHLY suggest over ordering. The GRILLED CALAMARI appetizer is seasoned to perfection and sits on top of arugula and marinated onions that taste better than pickled. The SPAGHETTI W CLAMS is the best I have ever had in my life. Again, seasoned to perfection. I have it every time I visit. The FIG JAM BRUSCHETTA appetizer is to die for. And get the TIRAMISU. It's more cream than cake & so well done. The staff is also beyond lovely. I need to slow down my visits for my waist line, but damn. This place is worth it.

Cute small neighborhood spot with surprisingly good service, not rushed at all. We were seated before everyone in the party arrived. Bartender offered drinks right away, they also have some daily specials like a lychee martini which was surprisingly strong in a good way ;) black spaghetti with shrimp was my favorite, had a nice spicy arrabiata sauce, and I think some crispy pancetta bits for texture. Tiramisu was so good, very rich and thick. There was one desert that ran out, so whatever that was must be amazing too. On a cute residential street, outdoor seating was nice even on a cooler night. There was a wait for Friday night for dinner. Good idea to make reservations if you can.

Maybe I was just really hungry but the black spaghetti with blue crab was really good. I would come back!

The scallop dish was quite small so not the best for sharing but the rest were all amazing. From the regular menu we got the mushroom toast which was absolutely delicious and great for sharing and the pork chop which is one of the best dishes I have ever had. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was incredibly juicy. For dessert, we got the creme brûlée which I am also still thinking about and one of the best desserts I have ever had. Tasty cocktails but I do wish they had more options on the menu -- there are only 3 cocktails to order from. Half chicken with scallion ginger sauce was pricey for the portion size with no sides but perfectly cooked and seasoned. Chocolate dessert was also fantastic!

The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
