Need older parts for your car? Check online to see if they have the car, bring your tools, pay the $3 admission fee, and pull the parts out and pay. It's a simple concept. However, you need to know where you're going when you pay and to know what prices you expect to pay. There are two sets of cashier windows: one is for newer models and the other is for older models. If you get older parts and get to the newer model cashier, you will still pay the newer model prices. Also check the list of prices online - I got two MANUAL speedometers, nothing digitals and I was still being charged the Digital speedometer price. While I was here, I only saw a couple of porta potties by the entrance. So if you need to take a piss or whatever while you're working, you need to go all the way to the front. Bring a friend so you don't have to pack up all your tools and carry them with you just to take a piss. Come as early in the morning as you can. I'm a business woman who works with various car buyers and I have to give lkq as a whole a 1 star. I have a bidder through lkq which use to pay us more for our cars and now they pay as much as calling customer service. You would think they would be competitive but they're not. Check out Houston Auto before coming here because they pay a lot higher rates for cars. read more

Cashier's will add a warranty to everything, even a simple bolt. Make sure you read the receipt before you pay and have them remove it. They also are not really educated on what the parts are. They tried to charge me for a wiring harness, when it was a simple piece of hose. Double, triple, quadruple check your receipts. read more

Place full of retards working register, went to buy a replacement dash pad. Gm calls the upper dash assembly "dash pad". The manager of lkq wallisville was disrespectful and attempted to charge me full price for entire dash assembly on a pad. Than proceeded to say "it's rare" how the fuck is it rare if your junkyard is full of silverados, tahoes, Yukons, and sierras? I've counted well over 85. Rare my ass, went to northville and manager there was understanding and when I brought same part from similar vehicle, northville charged me dash pad price. Upon asking she verified that it's a "dash pad". Would not recommend wallisville. They try and scan everyone, very disrespectful, and ignorant. If you want parts, make the slightly longer trip to northville, much better customer service and they don't attempt to scam you. read more

Their checkout employees don't know what they are charging and will argue. They also sneak in 90 day warranty without your consent.

It's a salvage yard. You pay $2 per person to enter. Tool boxes are accepted through though they must be checked before entering and after browsing. Must brings tools with you, there is no one around to assist. It has two separate lots full of salvage vehicles. The first lot is mostly older vehicles and the other lot is newer vehicles (has to ask to view). LKQ Pick a parts located off of Wallisville Rd. near 610 and 90. Their were lots of Impala 99-05, Fords, Chevys, MiniVans, 2 LandRovers, Dogdes, & etc. No Yota trucks. The vehicles were organized rows to rows of junk cars. Easy to walk through and find what you need. No vehicles are stacked in the viewing yard. Lots of space to park and a one food truck. Customer service was somewhat organized. The lady assisting me was nice even recommended another yard. read more

As much as I like LKQ for the convenience of getting parts from junked cars, this place just drives me nuts for a few reasons. One: the prices are always flexible, depending on what the person at the register thinks. You ask an employee outside for a parts price (they used to have a list somewhere) and they will pull it up on the computer and then say "but the person behind the counter has the final say." Two: the warranty. I don't want to pay more money for a warranty on a non-moving part, don't make it mandatory. Three: That website! If you can't update your inventory to the website in a timely fashion, it's a waste of everyone's time. I found a car I was looking for that was NOT on the website, it would have been nice to know it was there so I wouldn't have gone to another junkyard and wasted my time. Four: core charges. They seem to be getting higher and higher. It feels like a rip off. read more

There is a pricing sheet on the website but when you show up to the place, the price is way higher and they won't let you go back to see the parts. They are reluctant to get the parts at all. If I could give this place a 0 I would but this place is a complete rip off....my boyfriend was here the employee asked him what was in his backpack and he told the guy..no one searched his bag after my boyfriend found his parts and was ready to pay they asked to searched his bag and he gave it to them...he has nothing to hide the manager took his radio and since he didn't have a receipt they claimed it....REALLY?? then they tried to charge him $30 for it back...so he called the police they are on they way now...ugh dirty dirty people...dont go unless you want to be a victim of theft of your own goods... read more

Estremely bad customer service from most employees. Especially the ones charging in the front. The price for entrance has gone up and worst treatment. I believe any business should take care of their customers wherever or whatever it is. And i was trying to buy a headlamp i looked up on rockauto.com for $40 brand new and LKQ was charging me $48 for a yellowed headlamp with cracks on it, only considered it because i needed it but did not buy it. And cashier did not work with me to lower the price. Super bad place. Id rather buy new at rockauto. We dont have to take this bad service people, buy elsewhere. read more

I called the 800 number at 4:30 pm Central on a Saturday afternoon and got the "we're now closed" recording. Um, 'scuse me-- 4:30 pm is not 5:00 pm.
