I don't recommend this place to anyone to go fix their car, first time when I took my car to auto lab i had a recommendation from Honda company for fixing the fuel injector. That is why the engine sign was on. I explain everything to the owner of auto lab I show the paper which Honda diagnose the problem which was the fuel injector has to change, but the owner told me it's not fuel injector with confidence !!!I left my car so they can check. What's the problem actually they keep my car for five days not calling me back. I called them and they told me we have to fix the couple stuff the bill me for $4200. I didn't have any choice. I already miss days of work They kept my car one week finally they call me to pick up the car , after a month I got the same problem All the signs was on again. I took my car back to them they said it's electrical problem they charge me for $600 again they kept my a week, I pick up my car after a week. Start driving after three weeks all the sign turn on again. Took my car to them. he told me we will check again and let you know three days no calls no update. I called them. They told me you have to change the fuel injector and oxygen sensor. I told the owner when I bring my car first time I told you this is the problem now I end up with the same problem. So far I pay $5200 and they were asking me for 4000 dollar on top. to change the fuel injector I was about to cry. I took my car came home. I can't pay $9200 in three months I ask them to give me the invoice what parts you change they told me we will send it by email. so I can take my car to the mechanic and explain what part we change but I didn't receive any email from them. Finally the new mechanic told me your engine is done. You have to put a new engine because from the start you had problem with fuel injector, and the gasket leak. To your engine so we have to put a new engine because the diagnose wrong and took $5200 and ruin the engine in my car please please don't go to this place!! owner is the meanest person he is not listening to you what you're saying. read more

Not only are the parts prices stratospheric, they told my nephew his rear brake pads were very low, when they were close to 100%.

I been having problems with my tires since I got my truck last summer from a Dodge dealer. Funny tire wear and truck kept pulling on the highway, the dealer told me it was due to the aftermarket rims and mud tires on my truck. I bought new tires and paid for a alignment only to get my truck back with the same problem. Their solution to buy 4 new dodge rims which would cost almost $3000. I was pretty mad. A friend told me to go see these guys and get a second opinion. Glad I did! I walked in and spoke to Nick and told him my story. He got a mechanic to go on a test drive with me. He brought in my truck and found that one of my ball joints were bad and needed to be replaced. He also recommended that I get my tires balanced and do another alignment. I crossed my fingers and gave nick the green light. I didn't want to wait around and they gave me a lift home. I got a call a few hours later that my truck was fixed and they picked me up from my home. The same mechanic went on a drive with me and to my surprise I got on the 401 and the truck was driving stright and I didn't have a wobble from the steering wheel. Nick gave me a printout of the before and after of the alignment and turns out it wasn't done properly before, and the tires were not balanced properly. I am glad my problem has been resolved, I can finally enjoy my truck. For a guy that only likes to go to the dealership I am glad my friend recommend me to this place. The staff here was a pleasure to deal with and the price was fair. The shop looks really nice and bright. They even washed my car which shows me their attention to detail. They took me in right away and showed me the problem. Great job guys and I will be coming back!!! read more

I stumbled upon this place searching on google! I had a bad day already as I took my car an other mechanic that same day who decided to ruin my car..and scamming me into "sketchy" repairs! Long story short I brought my car to this place. Talked to the staff over the phone was very empathic and showed awesome customer service and thats what matters to me! I take back my review! After going through inspection on other auto shops, I've learned that my front rims has a worn out/deshaped lugnuts. They said they will have to destroy the lugnut to take out the rims! The mechanic said where did u do ur tires last, I said in pickering auto lab! After spending close to $500 in repairs on that shop, I'd rather not have any other components broken for that price! read more

When I tried Pickering Auto Lab I felt like I was cheating on my mechanic that I've been using for the past 15 years. We have all experienced the feeling of being taken advantage of and I can say that not once have I felt that way in my 4 or so dealings with PAL. They have been straight forward and "this last time" sympathetic to the "bad luck" I've had with my BMW. Although it's a BMW and it's to be expected...but that's a different review. I thought Saif and Nick treated me special with their stellar service. However while waiting in their clean and bright waiting room I've witnessed that they treat all their clients that way. It's normal for them ... not special. Their team is just as willing to help and provide the information needed to feel comfortable with the diagnosis and are passionate about they do. I would highly recommend Pickering Auto Lab and will continue to use them. read more

Took my Mercedes Benz to this shop because they claimed to a Mercedes specialized shop on their website. But I'm sure they NOT. All I wanted was to have "B SERVICE " done. Which is a oil change ,air filter cabin air filter,and inspection. But because you drive a Mercedes Benz they think it's OK to Over charge you.Charged $500.00. There was No Breakdown of what was labour and what was parts. Just a flat rate charged.They claimed this was the standard price but I don't believe they have done this service before. Guy at front desk had to look it up to see what was involved.Mechanic was knowledgeable. read more

The wife: If your looking for a trustworthy mechanic shop I suggest trying this place out. They have a very knowledgeable group of young technicians. As a woman going into a mechanic shop I didn't feel as though I was getting ripped off. The staff goes out of their way to provide a decent customer service experience for you. For example they provide a complementary rental car if your car needs to stay over night which I think is awesome, there is nothing worse than having no car, being stressed about repairs and being stranded at a mechanics shop for hours. STAY AWAY from this place: Do not believe the google ratings. I rarely write review (please feel free to check my account - but I feel I must warn my fellow friends about this place). I had 3 interractions with this auto shop - all 3 have been a disaster. The first one was a change of alternator on a modern car (2011 Suzuki). Well, the car broke down the very next day and I got stuck in the middle of busy intersection! They paid for the towing back to the shop to fix their mess. I lost of day of wage as a result plus the embarrassement of being towed from the middle of the street. Now the 2nd work I gave them (yes I am that dumb to go back) they just plain and simply SCAMMED ME. The van (Dodge Caravan) had an engine light on. They proceeded to replace all the recent spark plugs in the car (costs $600+) which fixed NOTHING. I took the car down the road to Ford which looked at me puzzled and said "the code says its an O2 sensor for emissions - nothing to do with the sparks plugs" (the guy told me I basically got scammed). I have receipts to prove it. Then, I returned a 3rd time (out of necessity as they are close to me). I was told the day before (I told them any day worked. No rush. But they insisted that the following day wasnt a problem) that a simple job brake would be done the next day. Dropped the car at 6am. NO CALLS. NO FEEDBACK. We are waiting for our van. The van is needed to pick up our kids. I called in morning. All is good. ok. Then nothing. I called back the same day (remember that simple brake job - 2 brakes) was booked the day before; only to be told - sorry can't do it! What?! What a joke. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER ALTERNATIVE IN PICKERING for example 2 guys are running a great garage just down the road; JK Tire. Go there instead or anywhere for that matter. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. (I firmly believe these young guys posted all these good review on Google themselves or via friends. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED. You have been warned. read more
