I LOVE DFW Indoor Pickleball! I've been playing PB for 2 years and the community of staff, coaches,…read moreand players is what brings my obsessed butt back several times a week for open play. Plus, they have a ton of really fun events and tournaments. If you seriously want to elevate your game (regardless of your skill level), you HAVE to go see Coach Tanner. He WILL bring your game to the next level and beyond!! You will appreciate his techniques, strategies and coaching style. Plus, he's a great guy that has a really nice way about him. This is, in my opinion, the absolute best pickleball facility and community in north Dallas. Be prepared to make new friends!

About a year ago I completely quit DiP. I found the courts to be in really bad shape, the…read moreprogramming too expensive, and the customer service engagement really lazy. I came back this weekend to play a Singles DUPR round robin there and am thrilled at how this place has really turned the corner and improved the pickleball experience it offers, which arguably is the most well-rounded in DFW: Open plays, lessons, leagues, DUPR Nights (Singles and Doubles), Senior open plays, corporate/private parties, and court reservation options. Coach Will ran our DUPR event, and his customer engagement was tremendous, starting from the second I walked in the door. He really took interest in my questions and comments and offered some tips to the group throughout the event, which was a complete turnaround from the lackluster effort the last time I played a Singles event there. I was really happy to see that DiP has resurfaced most of its courts, and they look and feel fantastic. The paint job with the sponsor logo in the kitchen offers a pro tournament vibe, and they established some barriers to keep ball interruptions to a minimum. I have always walked away from a DiP programming event feeling the players were competitive and fun to meet, and that continues to be the standard there - I've never been disappointed in the play on the court or the social interactions. While it isn't the easiest location for me to get to, I will definitely make the extra effort and am also excited to check out the new Grand Prairie location once DiP is able to build some awareness about it.

We noticed the menu had again updated and figured we would give them a go again. (Why does the menu…read moreget overhauled so much?) Place was decently busy for a Tuesday. Trivia night was going. But not loud like at other bars. Anyway, first the weird/awkward. Ordering was weird. They have tiny roped sections for the food staging and ordering. We went to where the ordering is, but tough screens were on customer side and black? We walk up there, confused. Someone zigzags through the ropes asking if we need anything. I was confused by his approach and inquired how we can order. He said he could help us, like it wasn't a normal thing. He unlocked the screen and took our order. So this wasn't something we could do on our own. But we got our food ordered. Wife got a burger, I got tacos. Friends got new hummus and honey chicken. All were good and good step in right direction from last menu overhaul! They will be back in rotation go out weekly hangouts with friends.

If your a pickleball player then you should love it here My only complaint was the food. The Chorizo Queso was a good starter. That's why I was sad when I got my pulled pork sandwich. It's was dry. The coleslaw was good but the bbq sauce was hot as hell. Which was throwing me off. Probably won't be back due to the evil eyes that were on us walking into the building. Definitely felt out of place.

I love Preston Playhouse - it's a really cool rec center offering pickleball, padel and a bar to relax for work events and family/friend get-togethers. In DFW there are what I call "Pickleball Operations" and "Places That Offer Pickleball." Unfortunately where I am in the game, Preston Placehouse is more of a "Place That Offers Pickleball" - which isn't what I'm looking for but may be great for you. The courts are colorful and (mostly) in great shape and the spacing is pretty good. They have morning ($10) and evening ($15) open plays which isn't the most expensive in town but not the cheapest. The Open Plays are All Levels, so a bit of a gamble in terms of the quality of player you will find. Last night I found some really good ones but there weren't many. When I first went there there were more, but it seems like they may be choosing places like Pickler Universe and The Picklr. Preston Playhouse though is a fun atmosphere and great place to bring friends or your own group but it's not a pickleball community focused on ramping up competition or teaching skills and it doesn't try to be.

Warning: Fraudulent Strings and Poor Quality!…read more I had my racket strung three times with what Vistara claimed was BG65 string, but 3 string broke within a week. Frustrated, I went to another stringing place, and immediately noticed that their BG65 string looked visibly different. I asked the staff about it, and they went above and beyond to verify the authenticity of their string and provided proof. Although they couldn't comment directly on Vistara's string, it was clear from comparison that the Vistara string was a fake and very poor quality. Attaching a photo of the real string for reference. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Vistara - they are using counterfeit strings!

Been here a couple of times because we have to practice for tournaments. Pros: New facility Have area to hang individual racquets to know who is knew in cue Pro Shop 18 courts mixed badminton and pickleball Indoors Day pass is cheaper than others Function rooms with microwave, fridge, toaster, tv, tables and chairs Cons: Small filthy restrooms Small parking space for a big facility Small waiting area for a big facility - If there is a tournament going on, and you have another tournament to attend, they have you wait at the front desk which does not have seating. I suggest they should just have everyone go inside to watch the other tournaments if not full so the front desk area does not get crowded. Bad lighting, too dark Flooring is hard, does not feel padded Pickleball is directly beside the badminton courts - the balls bounce to the badminton courts which makes it very dangerous for the badminton players
