Ok this place is different. It was my first time coming and I enjoyed it. We came for my husbands going away lunch with his team. The server we had was very attentive considering it was only him helping us and we were a group of maybe 15 people. The area is very open. They had indoor and outdoor courts. They had a playground for kids too which I found was pretty cool. I saw a big battleship, connect four and corn hole. Probably a few more I didn't see. They reserved an indoor court. Everyone had fun. Ok now for food ... I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl with a country margarita. (Can't remember the exact name). Margarita was good. Had that pina colada taste to it. And it wasn't too strong. The chicken was ok in my opinion. It had pickled coleslaw. And it was a 10/10 for me on that. The chicken was like chipotle with that tomato taste to it. So I was getting more tomatoes than chipotle. So I might consider something else. My husband ordered the skirt steak and he loves it. Came with a tortilla too and honestly they are good! There was like 15 of us so I wasn't going to go around invading peoples food lol but I did try the fried pickles and I enjoyed them. Then one of the guys had a pizza with fries and also said it was good. We only had one person who didn't like his food. He ordered half a bird I think but he was very skeptical of it being way too pink. And felt he might get sick if he ate it all because he thought it could have been undercooked. So that was that. Chicken N Pickle in Grapevine is such a fun spot to hang out with family or friends, even if you don't play pickleball! They have both indoor and outdoor courts, so there's plenty to do whether you're playing or just there for the atmosphere. The food we had was okay, but I've heard the chicken is definitely worth trying. And bonus: there's a MELT Ice Creams shop on-site, which is the perfect way to end your visit. This was our first and last time here. I think this is maybe the worst service I've ever experienced. The staff was kind however it was clear there was no direction and it really wasn't busy, so it didn't appear to be a lack of staff. We paid for a court and got out outside which was fine but no one even spoke to us to help us once we checked in for 20+ mins. It was basically the same inside, just staff that seemed genuinely confused as to what their jobs were. It was a disorganized mess in a really nice facility. A big disappointment. read more

This CNP is spacious and even has a playground. The food was good, but the house blend on the wings was tasty and salty. Service was inconsistent and sometimes slow. We shifted to going outside and when we did we sat in an empty area. An employee and the manager hovered over my friend with a newborn as they explained it was reserved. We saw the group it was reserved for and they weren't using it, so it was a bit annoying, but I guess it was on principle that we had to stand and watch our kids at the playground while a reserved area sat empty. read more

Lots of fun for everyone in the family! Ton of pickleball courts indoor & outdoor available to reserve or open play. Other outdoor games like shuffleboard and cornhole for the kids. OR hang out at the upstairs bar or indoor restaurant to watch the game. My boyfriend and I went to open play Monday morning. $10 Mon-Fri 8-11AM, Sat-Sun 8-10AM. All four social courts and two challenge courts were already filled at 8:10AM, but the rotation went by pretty quick. Play a game, 4 on then 4 off. Waited maybe 5-10min for the next game. It's very organized and efficient with the paddle rotation, and it's very friendly with many people coming here solo to play! If it's your first time or a group of 4+, probably best to reserve your own court, but if you're a beginner to advanced, open play is super fun! read more

Imagine an outdoor Dave and Buster's. That's what this is only with pickleball, shuffle board, jenga, connect 4 and corn hole. The food is good but I wish it was a little more varied. I feel like it was basically a marked up Chic Fil A. The service is a little confusing. We went in the front. Then we were told to walk to the pickleball to check in and then go back to eat (not short distances so that could be streamlined). We noticed the menu had again updated and figured we would give them a go again. (Why does the menu get overhauled so much?) Place was decently busy for a Tuesday. Trivia night was going. But not loud like at other bars. Anyway, first the weird/awkward. Ordering was weird. They have tiny roped sections for the food staging and ordering. We went to where the ordering is, but tough screens were on customer side and black? We walk up there, confused. Someone zigzags through the ropes asking if we need anything. I was confused by his approach and inquired how we can order. He said he could help us, like it wasn't a normal thing. He unlocked the screen and took our order. So this wasn't something we could do on our own. But we got our food ordered. Wife got a burger, I got tacos. Friends got new hummus and honey chicken. This place should be a sports bar and eatery that offers pickle ball. Not a place that specializes in pickleball and offers food. Had an amazing time playing pickleball here a couple of weeks ago! We reserved a court for one hour and it was a perfect amount of time. There is seating and food ordering at courtside, which was awesome - we got the truffle fries and queso with chips and both were great. The establishment was clean and spacious. They have extra paddles for anyone who needs it and ice water by the entrance so no need to lug around your own water bottle. There's also lots of seating outside too to just chill and hang out. Love that they have party games like giant tic tac toe outside as well and appreciate the humor on the signs! Staff were friendly and parking was plentiful in the lot. Highly recommend! read more

If your a pickleball player then you should love it here My only complaint was the food. The Chorizo Queso was a good starter. That's why I was sad when I got my pulled pork sandwich. It's was dry. The coleslaw was good but the bbq sauce was hot as hell. Which was throwing me off. Probably won't be back due to the evil eyes that were on us walking into the building. This was my first visit to C&P and my first go at pickleball. The facility is first rate for sure. Lots of courts, both indoor and outdoor. Some of the outdoor courts are shaded and some are not. I would definitely recommend reservations and make sure you get what you want court-wise. Oh, they also have some large Jenga-ish type blocks by the picnic tables for when you are waiting on a court or just grabbing a bite. They have table service for food and drinks and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I tried the chicken tenders, I mean it's Chicken and Pickle right? Came here for the first time with my family. We got the all you can eat brunch for $20. Wasn't anything fancy, but it was still delicious. They had the basic choices such as mixed fruits, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, turkey sandwiches, deviled eggs, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, yogurt parfaits, french toast, tacos, pastries and desserts, and fountain drinks. I'm torn - because this place isn't bad. The question is are we evaluating them based on food or based on the totality of their offerings? I am focusing primarily on the food, which I would classify as not bad, but not memorable. I legitimately can't remember any food I've eaten here - which means exactly what you think. It doesn't stand out on either end of the scale. In addition to pickle-ball, they have a nice outdoor patio area where you can play cornhole, or battleship (neither costs anything). Went there again today. Chicken sandwich ok but inconsistent with prior sandwiches. I've had 1/2" chicken breasts on a bun to a chicken fillet smashed 1/8" thick. This time I got the smashed 1/8" chicken fillet with falling off batter. Not the best. The sweet potato fries were ok. Not sure if they were refried or over cooked. Slightly burnt flavor. I just love the concept of a pop up Christmas restaurant! Chicken and Pickle has gone all out with decor and seasonal offerings! From the minute you step in you feel transported to a snowy mountain lodge (special treat for us Texas folks!) lots of cozy seating, vintage decor, Christmas movies and music playing. Your 10.00 non refundable reservation per person not only secures your 2 hour window but also comes with two apps to share (hummus dip and veggies and a cheese and meat plate) My only complaint on the food was the plate had been refrigerated and made the crackers soft not crispy - could add them after removing from fridge to keep them crisp. Of course we had to try some of the great seasonal cocktails! I tried the Nightcap and hubs tried the Holes for the Holiday. Both were well crafted and tasty. I have to say the cherry foam on mine was amazing! Next up was You sit on a throne of lies for him and a trip to the hot chocolate bar for me (you can get it spiked). It was great to dress my hot chocolate with all the fun items! We also ordered some chicken quesadillas to share and they were tasty too. **** my only complaint and what took this from a 5 star to a 4 star is that they must have been setting up for a buffet against the back wall and the employees had to walk in front of us no less than 15 times with carts,plates, sternos and all the things for the buffet. The seats we had against the wall in the far room we were the only ones they had to walk right in front of to sit it up and the space is so small we had to keep moving our legs around to let them through. Since you are on a time frame and only get to be there your allotted time you don't want to spend 45 minutes of it navigating that! I was there for a company party so we had a buffet rather than individual menus. The food was overall very good, though I did find the pulled pork to be a little lacking in flavor. I recently attended a birthday gathering for my sister at Chicken and Pickle, a restaurant and activity venue located in Grapevine. There were nine guests in total, including my family. I am eager to visit the new location being built in Allen, as I'm interested in seeing how this establishment operates, and attending here was an exciting point to see what to expect. Upon arrival, I noticed the greeters at the door were engaged in laughter and conversation, which left me unsure of where to go next. After navigating through the restaurant and exploring outside, I found a sign indicating the Pickleball check-in area, where I was able to locate our designated courts for playing Pickleball. During our time in the Pickleball area, a waitress approached us, and I ordered an IPA. The courts were excellent, well-designed for active play with nets and ample separation. However, I soon realized that my IPA never arrived. As a tournament commenced, we were asked to leave the Pickleball area and moved to the patio. While I understand the need to accommodate business operations, the transition felt rushed. Once seated on the patio, we waited approximately 10 minutes before a waitress came to inquire if we had been assisted. I informed her that we needed menus and that my IPA was still missing. She assured me she would continue our tab. We proceeded to order food, splitting the bill into two checks for our separate families. The food arrived promptly and was quite delicious, leaving no room for complaint. I ordered a skinny cob salad, as well as Deviled Eggs and Hummus/Pita for appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Unfortunately, the service deteriorated significantly over the next hour and a half. Our table was cluttered with plates, attracting flies, and the hot weather made us crave drink refills, yet none were offered. Despite our waitress passing by at least three times, she did not acknowledge us. It took 10 minutes to gain someone's attention to pay for our meals. Overall, the subpar service from the waitress overshadowed our experience. While I can overlook the initial greeting mishap, the lack of attentive service is deeply disappointing. Upon leaving, my wife requested to speak with a manager after we finally received our check. The manager attempted to rectify the situation, but ideally, everything should have been handled correctly from the start. I don't know if this was a fluke, or if this is how Chicken and Pickle is ran in Grapevine, but it was disappointing. read more

This place is just straight-up fun. I went thinking it was just a restaurant with pickleball courts, but it's way more than that. The vibe is super chill, the music isn't blasting in your face, and everyone there actually seems like they want to be there -- workers included. The food surprised me too. I expected typical bar food, but the chicken was legit really good. Juicy, crispy, not greasy. And their sides? Way better than they have any right to be. I got the mac and cheese and it disappeared way too fast. Playing pickleball after eating was a questionable life decision, but the courts were clean, well kept, and the staff didn't make us feel dumb for asking a couple beginner questions. Such a cute and fun experience! We rented out the Igloo that was apart of the Holiday Hideaway experience. It was pretty chilly outside but blankets were available for us to use. The holiday cocktails were very cute, festive and tasty. We also did the ski shots which came with a souvenir shot glass and $5 for additional shot. They ran out of fries and pizza, can you imagine that, and the service was terrible from the food court. I asked to get rice since my girls won't eat the other options and it's not our fault that fries are out of stock. The employee said there's a charge, I called for the manager who was rude as hell. She didn't even acknowledge me and just told the employee how to ring it up. The manager didn't apologize or even look at me at any point. I tried not to make a big deal but when they had no pizza also, the manager just said to ring it up, "we'll make one," she said. I mentioned that they should let all other patrons know that they are out of certain items so that they are aware before they get in the long line. The employee didn't acknowledge me and I said, I know you dont care, he responded I care, and I said it sounds like it. So ridiculous, terrible customer service!! No acknowledgement or even care for their customers, our time or how they show up as a restaurant. When I got the pizza, it makes since why they all of a sudden were able to make it, because it was DISGUSTING!!! Pizza made with canned tomato sauce. Yuck! Definitely horrible experience in Grapevine Texas today!! They were not prepared for the Spring Break and for their special (grilled cheese for free) It was a nightmare!! This was my first time here, I was with two of my good friends. We wanted to just come and eat some food and walk around and check the place out. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. Everyone in our party enjoyed our food tremendously. We met one of the managers, Cory . He was very nice and informative. He told us about the 21 and up balcony for adults only so that was a nice experience as well. This place is huge, and they have all kinds of free stuff to do as well like shuffleboard, foosball, and more ! The only thing that I didn't like very much is that they do not take cash.
