I explained politely that we had already lost 30 minutes of our reservation and that it was my birthday, but he seemed completely unconcerned. We were told they were understaffed, but there was no real effort to make the situation right. What made it worse was seeing another cabana properly prepared with ice, starters, and the refrigerator stocked while ours wasn't. If cabanas are the higher-priced option, I would expect at least the same level of service, if not better. The experience really put a damper on the beginning of my birthday, and after this, I don't see the value in paying extra for a cabana.

Whenever we got back- I told Libby how my shorts were wet from getting in the kayak (there was left over water in the kayak) and she ran and got me a towel and allowed me to take it home ! The sweetest !! They have a little parking lot on both sides of the rental area so it's easy in and out (free parking). In terms of renting the kayaks- they offer 10% off for all students, teachers and military. For the hour it was only $20. I felt like it was a fun nature activity. I also love that a small portion of their funds go back to support local Dallas communities and parks. Can't wait to go back and do it again!

When asked if he could move the car because it was very hard to get wheelchair bound passenger out of my car during a heavy rain, he said it was "their loading zone". When I tried to explain that it was in fact a no parking area to allow ADA access to help handicapped people load into a vehicle, he tried to dispute this. I am including information below to better educate the KayCee manager of the ADA law. The striping between handicap parking spaces, known as the access aisle, is marked with diagonal stripes to prevent vehicles from parking there and is a required part of the parking space's design under ADA guidelines. This aisle provides the necessary space for people with disabilities to get in and out of their vehicles, and is distinct from regular parking space markings. Purpose of the access aisle Clearance: The access aisle provides the necessary space for people to exit and enter their vehicles. Safety: The diagonal striping prevents other drivers from parking in the area, ensuring it remains clear for its intended use. The gym is clean and full of all the equipment you may need for a good workout. The locker rooms are fresh and clean and if you're lucky you can have your own assigned locker for an additional monthly fee. They offer a tennis member option and golf member option. My family were tennis members and after another year and some months, were able to move up to the golf membership. Both options give you full privileges to the pool membership. The families here are so friendly too. The kids have made great friends here. I feel safe to relax and not worry about the kids safety here at all. They have family fun events here often and we seem to spend a lot of time here.
