Speaking just as someone who lived in Chicago for awhile and reviewing only the Italian beef, it may scratch an insatiable craving, but it's not what you'd get in the city. The bun comes split in two, the gravy isn't spicy or salty enough, and they won't dip it for you. It also doesn't seem as big as it should be too the price. Nevertheless, these things can be fixed, and the bones are there. I hope management will make changes to the sandwich for authenticity's sake. read more

I love this place! I used to avoid trying Pickleman's just because it's located around the bar scene on Dickson and I assumed it would be dirty and loud. I regret assuming this, because it's super clean and has become one of my top 2 favorite sandwich shops in Fayetteville. Most of the sandwiches are pretty simple, but that's what makes them perfect. A lot of sub sandwich shops load their subs with so many ingredients that it just becomes too much and too heavy. Pickleman's menu and portions are perfect! Clean, tasty sandwiches, friendly service, fresh ingredients... definitely recommend! This will continue to be my go-to sandwich spot. read more

I'm giving Pickleman five stars primarily for their customer service. My wife and I had just returned to our AirB&B after the Garth Brooks concert in Fayetteville. Because we were so busy that day we didn't get a chance to have dinner so we were both famished. Pickleman's was the only restaurant that would deliver our food. Not Domino's. Not Pizza Hut.
