The video included cuts from first look to the ceremony to an after-wedding beach stroll. I absolutely loved that he included a voice layover of my husband and I telling our love story. While the photography session itself is technically "free," be prepared to be subject to predatory conditions: you are required to pay a ~$150 "booking deposit" and sit through a mandatory follow-up Zoom appointment to actually get your portrait. The entire process was packed with passive-aggressive upselling, including an upfront warning that if I needed an additional Zoom meeting to finalize my portrait(s), there would be an extra $200 fee associated. He also insisted that I invite my significant other to the follow-up session to ensure that "all decision-makers" were present. This felt extremely patronizing and misogynistic, especially since I had already explained to him that I would be making the decision for my household and that additional input was unnecessary. During our follow-up Zoom call about a week after the session, Kevin spent a good part of the time stalling. After a frustrating 25 minutes of having to sit through Kevin's emotionally manipulative tactics, I let him know that I would need to leave the call early in 10 minutes and asked if we could expedite this process, at which point his "friendly"demeanor instantly changed. He told me that he would be keeping my deposit and charging me $200 to reschedule. I made it clear that I was no longer interested in his services, meaning there would be no need for an additional meeting, and asked for my deposit to be refunded. After a tense back-and-forth, Kevin reluctantly agreed to refund my money. While I understand that he blocked off an hour of his time, the stalling I experienced during my thirty-five minutes on the call felt like a setup to force me into that extra $200 meeting in hopes of selling me an overpriced, lackluster product. His constant claims of "not trying to sell me anything" while very obviously trying to sell me something were exhausting. This business relies on holding your deposit hostage, stalling to pressure you into additional fees/products, and using emotional blackmail over your pet. Save your time and stay far away!!

Kevin was welcoming and very kind, and making us feel right at home. He went through all the steps with us, and he did not put any pressure on us whatsoever. We had the pleasure of experiencing two photo shoots with her. One at Diamond Head and one in her studio. 100% satisfied with both sessions. Not only is Nova a professional photographer, she has the PATIENCE and understanding for toddlers, a very motherly gentle side that she uses to take the best pictures with my son. She was NEVER irritated or upset when my son and believe me my son is really rascal at times! My son didn't follow directions and was shy at first which really scared me because I knew this would happen but instead Nova took the time out and walked and talked with him and played with his figurine cars with him practice taking photos with his Toy cars and after that it was NO PROBLEM! He absolutely followed directions after that!!! We could not have been more happier with her work! Our first professional photography ever in our family was of my second child's maternity shoot at Kapiolani Park January 2017. Professional quality on her own printed machine at home with her own paper. Beautiful views and she takes the time to modify and "clean up" the photos that I wanted. On a side note: Not only does Nova take your pictures for you, she sends friendly and gentle reminders of your shoot the day before and also reminds you and your family what to bring such as water, snack for the little ones. When the weather was not permitting she would ask if you would like to reschedule for the week after or a have it at her studio- which was what happened in our situation. Very flexible with time to meet our needs. But above all Nova had maternity portraits within a couple days both printed portraits and saved on a USB for me ready to print! Beautiful work! Our second photo shoot was our first family portraits March 2017. And let me tell you she is AMAZING with newborns! I had a fussy newborn daughter and a hyper toddler son, I mean she is like the children's whisperer! She handled it very well! Our portraits came out spectacular!!! She has professional lighting, multiple back drops, floor designs, an area for changing, an area for breast feeding, I mean this was STRESS FREE for me especially! This time we ordered more pictures and it also came with a USB enclosed with my pictures!! She was able to capture some AWESOME sibling portraits of my two kids and I'm beyond happy with her performance and professional work!! My parents were so pleased about their gifts of their grandchildren! My husband is not a smiling person at all, but for these shoots it was something about Nova that made you want to smile and my husbands smile was very natural! I have already booked her for my daughter's first year cake smash in December 2017. And I also hired her for my daughter's first birthday in February 2018 to photograph the memorable moments at the party. Not only is she talented but personable. She makes you feel comfortable, and the shoot is fun! My next photo shoot was baroque style, and she made me look beautiful and feel comfortable, while exhibiting the utmost professionalism. Yesterday, I had my third photoshoot with Sarah. I truly believe that, while she excels with all types of photography, that this is her speciality! I do not like taking photos, and she made it so much fun! She is creative and found great spots and great lighting! She was also able to conjure the essence of our family into the photos, because she is amazing at family photos!
