One time my babysitter canceled last minute and they assured me it would be okay to bring all three of my kids. The boys even got to play in an amazing indoor jungle gym type room after our appointment. The staff really went above and beyond for us and made a stressful time a positive experience. The office staff were all friendly and helpful and when I needed follow up help at 10 months for difficulty with feeding Kelley saw me right away and in just one session she got my son moving his tongue and drinking from a cup and showed me how to work on all these things at home. I'm so happy my dentist recommended Speakeasy.

I always liked this pace in the past. My daughter has been receiving the therapies at this location…read morefor many years. Unfortunately, today I can't post a good review. My child with autism was recently discharged from the speech therapy solely because she reached an age cutoff. (she is only 15), despite her clear and ongoing need for speech and communication support. Speech therapy is a long-term necessity for autistic children, not something they "outgrow" at specific age. The age should never be a factor in determining whether an autistic teenager receives speech therapy! All autistic children/teenagers are at different levels when it comes to speech. The fact that even the owner of the company was not able to help is incredibly disheartening. Dropping a child from therapy due to age rather than her actual progress is unacceptable and unethical! The therapist just handed me a piece of paper with a list of places to call that offer social group settings for my child which I did has not been successful. Most of these places that I contacted have long wait lists for speech therapy. So now my child is stuck, I am going through a lot of hassle and stress, and Speakeasy is a big Disappointment! This company is failing the autism community, unfortunately!

My mother has been at this facility a few times over the last 10 years. She was admitted back from…read moreUMC in November due to a pacemaker operation and kidney infection/stones. Upon her admittance (day 1) the primary focus was on determining what she brought into the facility with no immediate care. I call this out as we arrived about an hour later and found her with oxygen in her nose, however upon inspection, it was not hooked to anything. We right away called for help as she is to be on oxygen and after insisting someone help us she got oxygen. During her initial tenure this time she on multiple occasions had patients come into her room. The first time her roommate, god bless her, who had a history of dementia and throwing herself out of her bed crawled into my mom's side of the room, and lay on the floor moaning. My mom called using her button but no response. She ended up calling us at home on her cellphone where we had to call the facility and beg someone to check on her room. Noteworthy that it has not been uncommon for an hour to go by with no one responding to a button. My mom also got to experience a patient from another room come into her room and piss all over her floor. Eventually, a staff member arrived to assist My mom also came into the facility with a ventilator/cpap for co2 and apnea issues. The first four days it was not used as the staff had no clue how to run it. Note it was simply putting on a mask and hitting an on button. We had to call the facility that issued the machine to come in and do a demo and then it was used. How many days would she have had the equipment just sit in her room unused had we not asked. Her main goal here is to get pt so she may get stronger, as an amputee it is important she develops as much strength as possible to aid herself and caretakers. PT at times had been non existent. Our first week there we had one of the therapist say make sure you advise she should be placed in her wheelchair first thing in the morning. That has almost never happened. The general reason is the therapist are not strong enough to get her out of bed. My mom is about 200lbs in her late 70s and with everything there is some deadweight. However, if PT is a goal im befuddled how there is not more options to assist. Then about two weeks ago her pacemaker went off and she ended up in the ICU at the hospital. To be clear in no way am I suggesting that the behavior here caused that. She absolutely has many health issues that led to that. However, the night her device went off she called us frantic as she was unable to get a nurse to come in. We ended up calling 911 who sent emergency over who took her to the hospital. Let me state I cannot with certainly say that my mom hit her call button. With all the events she may have been disoriented, but based on my own experience watching the wait/response times it is more than reasonable to believe there was a large wait prior to responding. I call the above incident out as upon my mom's release (after about 2 weeks) she is back at Silver Hills. Medicare and so forth this was the only option as she does still need skilled nursing. While she was away the facility never contacted us or anything to give us any concern about her property. I 100% will admit that I should have called over and checked in as the above gave me concern. It is day 3 here and they are unable to locate any of the items she left behind upon her transition to the hospital in particular the Cpap/ventilator worth 1000s of dollars that she is to wear at night. We have been advised we can wait until Monday until head of nursing is here to see if they can find her stuff including her medical device which is not small and would be hard to misplace Today is now Thursday a week after we notified of missing equipment and I have left messages with her case manager and administrator and no callback. Also something new occurred on Tuesday 2-14-23. My mother an amputee who is now recovering from kidney surgery and a new pacemaker surgery needed assistance having her undergarment changed due to soiling. The nurse who came in was on her cellphone chit chatting while attempting to do everything with one hand. She became frustrated when my mom could not completely independently rollover told her "you dont like me" and left her unchanged all open to the world. It had been relayed about an hour later someone came and finished the job. So far the only positive I can say is generally the nursing staff overall themselves and aides are friendly and I genuinely believe want to do a great job. But per their own words they are understaffed and are doing what they can. This, in my opinion, is a case of the administration putting profits above care. Again no one is expecting 24/7 single nurse care but the above is just unacceptable. Not to mention trying to get info from the various departments is a huge challenge. UPDATE
