I always liked this pace in the past. My daughter has been receiving the therapies at this location for many years. Unfortunately, today I can't post a good review. My child with autism was recently discharged from the speech therapy solely because she reached an age cutoff. (she is only 15), despite her clear and ongoing need for speech and communication support. Speech therapy is a long-term necessity for autistic children, not something they "outgrow" at specific age. The age should never be a factor in determining whether an autistic teenager receives speech therapy! All autistic children/teenagers are at different levels when it comes to speech. The fact that even the owner of the company was not able to help is incredibly disheartening. Dropping a child from therapy due to age rather than her actual progress is unacceptable and unethical! The therapist just handed me a piece of paper with a list of places to call that offer social group settings for my child which I did has not been successful. Most of these places that I contacted have long wait lists for speech therapy. So now my child is stuck, I am going through a lot of hassle and stress, and Speakeasy is a big Disappointment! This company is failing the autism community, unfortunately! read more

My son has been seeing Ms. Jess for occupational therapy for a couple of months now for some support with sensory issues and self-help skills and she has been nothing short of amazing! My son looks forward to seeing her each week. I love that they use neurodiverse-affirming play-based therapy techniques, so the kids are active and engaged. My son is already making progress after only a short couple of months. The office staff is always very helpful and kind as well. So glad we were referred to this therapy center. read more

Speaking therapy has been the best thing that has happened for my child. They have taken their time to help him and he is definitely getting the services he doesn't need. The staff at this location is amazing from the receptionist to the speech therapist that he sees. Even the owner did my sons evaluation, which makes me feel Even better that the owner is so involved in what is happening in her offices. This would definitely be a location. I would recommend to whoever needs help with speech therapy. They also do other therapies example is occupational therapy. Another good thing is at the office is always so neat and clean and I do like that when the children do go in the back, they have them sanitize before they start their therapies to keep all the germs away. read more

My son has been going to this location for over a year and they are wonderful! Jess was my son's OT therapist and she has AMAZING. She was full of knowledge and very patient with my son. Emily was his speech therapist and she was so sweet and very observant. Emily did both verbal communication and ASL. Staff was amazing, very understanding and courteous. Kelly has seen our daughter 2x so far and we LOVE her. Shes very knowledgeable and attentive to our daughters feeding therapy. Our daughter has cheek, lip and tounge ties (surgeries for them this week) and we were recommended here before surgery and for post surgery help. We have had to do PT at other places in the past for our other kids and Im very impressed by the staff and therapist. You feel very welcomed and laugh in what is some times a hard mommy moment. The tips and advice have worked well at home. I will update and add more to review as we progress in our time here. Office is clean. Texting 24 hr before appointment is awesome and quick way to remind/ confirm. Really over all impressed. I plan to switch my other child here if Im able to thu my ins company- they are an all in one PT OT and speach in one building vs having to take my child to 3 different apts to see each. read more

We Loved this place and loved my kiddos therapist. She got preggo and stopped coming to work and it took us 2 weeks to find out. The 1st week they cancelled our appointment without telling us why. The 2nd week the same thing. Today they called us and told us she's out for the next 6 months and that they don't have a therapist to replace her so my kiddo and all the other kiddos she saw are just out in the wind until they hire someone. Not much of a contingency plan. I would expect MUCH better from a business this size with this many kids. I strongly recommend finding a smaller place who actually cares about the individual kids. This place is just a factory shipping them in and out so fast you wouldn't believe it. read more

My two boys have been receiving speech and OT therapy services from Speakeasy for 4 years! Navigating therapy services with 2 boys with Autism takes a team effort and Speakeasy has been our most consistent, empathetic, and effective provider of them all! We have had the same therapists for years and they have always been consistent with updating assessments and treatment goals. After every session the therapists give a detailed explanation of what was done during that session and then the therapists give recommendations for us parents to continue the support at home. They are knowledgeable and effective with working with kids with Autism and I am so appreciative for their quality of care. My baby was born tongue tied and the dentist referred me to Kelley at Speakeasy. They got me in right away and I was Kelley and she took her time to teach me all the exercises that would help my son before and after his tongue tie release. One time my babysitter canceled last minute and they assured me it would be okay to bring all three of my kids. The boys even got to play in an amazing indoor jungle gym type room after our appointment. The staff really went above and beyond for us and made a stressful time a positive experience. The office staff were all friendly and helpful and when I needed follow up help at 10 months for difficulty with feeding Kelley saw me right away and in just one session she got my son moving his tongue and drinking from a cup and showed me how to work on all these things at home. I like this place except whenever I have to cancel, They ask you a thousand questions. Sometimes there are circumstances beyond my control for my autistic child and I need to cancel before the "24 hours". But I never cancelled on the day of the appointment. This morning I confirmed but I had to cancel in the afternoon ( for tomorrow appt) due to an unforeseen circumstance. Why do they give me such a hard time? They make me feel so guilty. Why do you want to cancel and they want to know the specifics. once the appt is confirmed you can forget about cancelling because they can get rude. I get so scared to call for any changes. read more

We were referred to Kelley, the owner, bc of my 4yo's tongue tie that is causing speech & feeding issues. The initial eval was ok, except for the fact that you could tell she was rushing to get out of there. She kept saying "I don't need to do this test, one of my girls can do it instead". So during the test, she kept interrupting & calling out the door for someone. Once it was done, she quickly ended the session. Didn't even say when to come back or how often. We went to check out, the girl at the desk asks us when we'll be back & I tell her Kelley didn't say. She said she would look into it and call me. She never did call. Finally I called to see what was up, and we weren't able to get in for almost 2 months after the initial eval. Our second session went about the same. I'm sitting right by the window and I overheard Kelley asking where we were & talking about us getting on another therapist's schedule. I was ok with that since we are limited to the afternoon due to my son's school schedule, which made it hard for us to get appointments. Anyway, our appt was at 1pm. We get in at 1:07pm, and she ends the session at 1:21pm! After we drove 30+ min to get there, and I took my son out of school early for it. Once again, she was talking about going home and how she had to drive sooo far. I was very disappointed. But even more so disappointed when we walked in and she says "So have you been working on what we talked about?" Which caught me off-guard, because she gave us nothing to work on. In fact, I left the first session with no answers. She didn't even tell me how my son scored on the test. She also did not go over my son's initial eval or goals with me. I had to ask her for it. So when I finally got a hold of that eval, she lefts lots of things blank and even refers to him as a girl! I was even more surprised to see that my insurance was billed $180 for not even 15 minutes. Cash pay therapists cost not even half of that. Speakeasy is one of the few places that take my insurance. However, I will pay out of pocket for my son to get better care somewhere else. Kelley seems nice, and I'm sure she's very good at what she does. But we did not have a good experience here. After the second session, they have been pretty good at calling me and offering appts due to cancellations. However, I don't want to do the commute for a rushed session. read more

I started working at the Henderson office in January 2020. I am a licensed speech language pathologist. I find it rewarding to help my clients communicate more effectively. The office is clean and inviting. The front office staff takes time to learn about the families and care about what they are going through. Kelley is the owner and is about to open her 4th clinic in the greater Las Vegas area. Her business is booming! Kelley makes sure the office and staff are provided with materials and fun stuff to play with. She is an amazing SLP and is so knowledgeable in so many areas, especially feeding/swallowing and oral motor. The office provides services for speech, occupational, and physical therapy. read more

They will tell you without notice to find another place for therapy. I got a call one day and they just said they cant take him anymore..i ask them why well ofcourse they made up bs. Reasons..that was very unprofessional .!never was treated like this before. They gave up on my kid after few months just because he is low functioning and had behaviors. I heard bad things about how they run the place..therapist are great they dont stay for long. I guess theyre not happy. They pick their clients so beware if your kid is low functioning. Theyll test you out and drop you after if theydont like you. read more

The occupational therapists are great! However the office staff and the company is awful. First of all the girl at the Cheyenne location is rude and untrained. She has no idea how to help about billing. She had to leave a message for someone else to call me and that took 3 days for a response. Second she does not know how to explain or put in the correct amount for billing. I was told one amount then billed for an exorbitant amount of money and told me my child cant return until paid in full. When it was there fault and did not communicate or charge appropriately in the first place. They obviously dont care about the child and only about getting paid. I also pay in advance for the whole month and they arent willing to let my child use those pre paid visits until I pay the balance they messed up on. read more

We have been patients at speak easy since 2016. My son was referred for speech delay and thanks to the amazing speech team they helped get him referred for OT as well. Natalie was our therapist until she moved in 2018. We have yet to find a speech therapist like especially since we have moved too. Nick has been with us from the start of OT and he has helped all of my kids grow leaps and bounds. My daughter received speech therapy from Kelley and she discovered many things that other therapist had missed and consider "normal". I recommend them any chance I get! Speak easy became our home away from home for the many years we were in Las Vegas. The therapist we had still follow up and check in on us to this day. read more

Even when they knew my daughter would show little improvement till her enect surgery which was a few years away they still worked with her. My kids love Meg she is at the Henderson location it is a completely different experience than my previous "therapist". My old speech therapist was very intimidating and not very caring. Meg is kind, sweet ,friendly and has an enmense amount of patience. My boys can't wait to go see her every week.On top of having an incredible bedside manner she is professional and knowledgable in what she does. I don't mind driving the distance for her, she is making a huge change in my boys anunciation and I love how she actually sets goals for them. Switched over from another Therapy provider in town and I am extremely happy that we did. Kathryn is an excellent Physical Therapist and my child loves sessions with her. She is very good at explaining and demonstrating our "homework". Front desk staff is friendly and pleasant as is scheduling. No problems getting an appointment unlike our previous provider. My daughter started speech therapy about 5 month ago because some swallowing problems. This was my first time dealing with any kind of therapy for my kids and I was very concerned if you could say of all the unknowns. That's when we met Emily at the centennial office, and all my concerns and doubts went a way...She is absolutely amazing. She was able to identify her problem right away and set a treatment plan right there. Within 2 month my daughter was eating again. She took the time to get to know her and was able to identify other problems she had with actual Speech and OT. So she continued to see Emily and suggested to start OT with Olivia (another angel sent from heaven) at spring valley. These two girls are absolutely wonderful at what they do. I have noticed a lot of progress on my daughter since she started to work with both of them. She loves going to see them. The communication between them and our family is excellent and they go above and beyond to try to help you with anything, they truly care. Overall I had nothing but amazing things I could say from all the staff at these two locations. They are always willing to help you and work with you. All the therapist are wonderful and know my daughter. You can tell they are great with kids just from watching them welcoming the kids (not just mine) and how happy they all go with them. I think this alone says a lot. So I would recommend Speakeasy to anyone in a heartbeat.!!!!! read more

My daughter has done a lot of Physical Therapy (PT) in other states, and I have never experienced care that comes close to the PT care they provide here! They are amazing and really focus on your child's needs. They tailored exercises specific to her and not a cookie cutter PT regime. The individualized care got her doing things she hasn't been able to do in years! And she absolutely loved working with Angela and Jonah. They were always pleasant and showed genuine care and enjoyment working with her. We sadly had to move, and she has another knee surgery coming up. I also receive state funded services and I can say the difference is HUGE and totally worth paying out of pocket. We made an appointment for my two year old son. We waited aprox 30 minutes for the therapist. Second the evaluation lasted 17 minutes or less before the therapist said that she had a doctor appointment herself and ran out of the office without any more explanation. My husband and i were speechless. It was so insensitive and rude, we drove from the other side of the town, to be there less than 17 minutes. I was so disappointed. I love speakeasy therapy. My 3.5 y/o son has been going here for about 18 mos and is getting ready to discharge cause he has met all of his goals! When my son started he had less then 5 words in his vocabulary and now is caught up to his age in speech. His communication has improved tremendously which has improved his behavior as well! We have had both Kelley and Natalie for speech and my son loves them both. They are very accommodating for schedule as I have work and other kids to account for. We love it here and are very sad to be leaving but thrilled he has made so much progress! read more

Love speak easy! The centers are clean and organized, the owner is amazing, and they are flexible to your family schedule. I can cancel via text if a sickness or something comes up and rescheduling is easy. It is also refreshing to have REAL therapy! We've done the rounds in Las Vegas of therapy centers and it's just a joke. Having lived many other places we were shocked at the poor quality of care here. Then Speak Easy opened, thank goodness. The owner truly cares and is personally involved in the hiring of therapists (and firing as well when they aren't meeting the children's needs). We have been going to Speakeasy for almost 3 months and I couldn't be happier with my son's progress! We work with physical, occupational and speech therapists and all 3 of them are amazing. The therapists collaborate with each other, they use this information to help move him on to his next goals, and it truly feels like he has his own specialized team working towards his success in all areas. The office manager has been fabulous at helping to coordinate and schedule all of his appointments, likewise if we have to cancel or reschedule she does all she can to help. I am especially happy with the extra sanitary measures the company has implemented to deal with covid. I truly feel as though each of his therapists are extra careful in sanitizing the room, toys and equipment they use for him, as well as their own PPE, and the owner recently installed an air purification system. Both of my kids get seen at SpeakEasy and between the two of them they have been treated by every therapist in the office and we absolutely love each of them. The front desk staff is amazing and so great about helping with scheduling! My child went to SpeakEasy Therapy since early 2015 and I cannot stop raving about how wonderful they are. After just 6 months of all the therapies (PT, OT, and Speech), my child was doing the unthinkable. Learning how to roll over, to taking steps, eating more, verbalizing, utilizing his hands, and sitting on his own. Giving up is not an option at this office!
