Kelly has seen our daughter 2x so far and we LOVE her. Shes very knowledgeable and attentive to our daughters feeding therapy. Our daughter has cheek, lip and tounge ties (surgeries for them this week) and we were recommended here before surgery and for post surgery help. We have had to do PT at other places in the past for our other kids and Im very impressed by the staff and therapist. You feel very welcomed and laugh in what is some times a hard mommy moment. The tips and advice have worked well at home. I will update and add more to review as we progress in our time here. Office is clean. Texting 24 hr before appointment is awesome and quick way to remind/ confirm. Really over all impressed. I plan to switch my other child here if Im able to thu my ins company- they are an all in one PT OT and speach in one building vs having to take my child to 3 different apts to see each.

They were clear, honest, and professional from the start. They told me what to expect and followed through. We were able to get an assessment after 2-3 months and once assessed, able to get appointments right away. We like our therapist, Jennifer, who is bright and kind and always ready with a smile. My daughter does seem to be speaking more, along with going to preschool, her language abilities have widely expanded since 6 months ago when she started. Appointments are only 30 minutes though and parents are expected to wait in the waiting room. Which is fine b/c 30 minutes go by fast. They also have tissue and plenty of seating, some in a sunny area, which is very nice. But realistically the appointments are closer to 25 minutes. I wish they were longer since it's a drive for us but overall I'm happy with her progress and feel confident about coming here.

Post Acute Care (PAM) Rehabilitation Hospital of Centennial Hills is a new, highly efficient,…read morefriendly, and extremely supportive rehabilitation facility. I spent nearly 2 weeks there after an open chest artery aneurysm, a supportive surgical procedure requiring a 15 inch incision from my breastbone to below my navel. During the surgery, my abdominal organs were manipulated, and some structures were cut to improve access to a short, hard-to-reach artery that was inflamed and torturous. The procedure took about 3 hours with 3 vascular surgeons in the OR. Basically, PAM received a relatively immobile patient in a lot of pain, with significant complicating diseases (or comorbidities) - a challenge for any rehab hospital. The team that made the boo boo go bye bye. It may be hard to fathom, but the team at PAM is just that, a real team. Support teams work 12-hour days, but it seemed as though there were many, many more members of the team since my bell never went unanswered, even during shift changes. I required health care (daily doctor visits for general health and wound care), occupational therapy (OT) comprised of routines like toiletry, showering, brushing teeth, etc., and physical therapy (PT) that helped with walking with assistance, gaining strength to remain upright and balanced, to building stamina to increase mobility. Although none of these things were unfamiliar to me, getting any one of them done with a 15-inch chest wound and whatever went on under the skin made every action a challenge, and a team member substantially aided. With 44 beds in the facility, I can only give you some idea of the support I received. Marie did my initial interview, and Arrian was my case manager. Albert was ever-present for wound care. Nurses were largely responsible for medication distribution and directing others to my needs and included Bella, Ferna, Maita, Faye, Sandra, Winnie, Matthew, Fatima, Rhenzo, Lori, Jia, Imani, Michelle, Silas, Skylar, Cecelia, Marichu, Yow, Jean, and Sam, 'The Man', a notably dedicated nurse, and given that all the others were great, this says a lot for Sam. My PT team included Baraka, Bethany, Candice, Connor, Douglas, Eliza, George, Isacic, Lauren, Lucy, Mark, Matthew, Michael, Parisa, Rachel, Rony, Skylar, Tania, and last but not least, Vanessa and Winnie. Ivy and Cyhthia were my dietary champions, righting the wrong of a hospital to rehab error in orders that kept me on a liquid diet longer than needed. Robert kept my room as clean as the Plaza in New York City. Although I hope to stay out of PAM forever, if I need rehab again, I can't imagine a better facility for a speedy recovery. If I missed someone, I apologize. I'll make up for it after my next stay...oh boy. Most importantly, my patient advocate was and remains my wife, Margie, without whom I wouldn't still be around. She has spearheaded support for me and complemented the rehab team.

My mom found the staff very accommodating & takes good care of her with morning physical therapy at their gym. I intentionally visited after-hours at about 9 pm to assess their staffing which in many cases are lean & light at night. Not here. He had catheter complications but had no awareness of what the tube/bag was for. After a 3-day hosp stay it was sugg that he go to this facility to regain strength & continue IV antibiotics. A synopsis of SOME issues: 1. He was there 30 days, was sent to the ER 5 times due to blocked catheter, delirum, falls & infections. The only reason he was there was to monitor his urine output, so that blockages could immediately be addressed. 2. The hospital, during one of his trips, decided to install a suprapubic catheter. The hospital did surgery to install the cath w/o consulting us as his medical POA bc Skye Canyon failed to provide that info. 3. They consistently neglected to place the bag on the floor at night for proper gravity drainage, as witnessed after typical visiting hrs. This caused blockages and ER trips. 4. They were not feeding him. They brought food, but left him lying flat in bed, unable to even adjust himself to a sitting position. We told them multiple times to either sit him up in bed or place him in his wheelchair for his meals. He weighed 176 pounds when admitted. Hospital lab work after 3 wks showed signs of malnutrition, so they filled him full of Ensure to mask that, which caused diarrhea, with no toileting assist & another fall. He weighed 155 pounds at discharge. He lost 21 pounds in 30 days under their "care". 5. I asked once if they had bathed him because his hair looked greasy & he had a smell. No one could tell me when he was last bathed, & said "All he has to do is ask!". 6. After checking his bag one evening, I got 3 diff answers from staff re when the bag was last emptied b/c it had no urine in it. I again explained that if a blockage occurs, he goes into delirium & pulls the cath or falls. One of them again said "Oh, that's good to know". THAT is the point I lost it, slapped my own head & said "you've got to be f***ing kidding me! Why you do think he's here?". 7. We had a planned trip & were so worried about leaving him in their care, that we hired home health aides to sit with him WHILE in a nursing facility to keep an eye on his cath bag & prevent falls. 8. Each time a patient is sent to the ER, the room is packed up & all belongings are boxed. They lost multiple clothing items. 9. An ER Trip requires ambulance transport, one of which they marked as non-emergency, resulting in a $1200 bill for us, that we are still fighting, This was a trip where he had torn his suprapubic cath tube near his abdomen & it was "floating inside of him" & he had fallen, requiring surgery. He was able to tear or cut the tube at 1am while 15' from the nurses' station, & no one noticed commotion and it was deemed non-emergency? They then had the nerve to ask if we could provide the home aides again because it was so nice to have them keep an eye on him. 10. He has been in a memory care facility for 2 mos now, w/ home health on-call for any catheter issues. He has experienced ZERO ER trips or falls while there because the non-medical staff simply checks his catheter bag every 3 hours to alert of issues, preventing hospital trips. 11. When we wanted him moved, it was initially refused & we would be taking him against med advice. His ins would pay for 100 days, so it was obv they wanted to drain that entire benefit. After reminding them of the series of neglectful events, I had the paperwork within days. I don't blame the staff for the lack of attention & care. I blame the owners of this facility. They care about money....not the patients. I have no doubt that if he had remained there the entire 100 days, he would not still be with us due to infection, a fall or malnutrition that would have been swept under the rug as just a 90 y/o who passed from natural causes.

There were usually 12-16 clients working out, with often just 1 staff member on the floor. There is NO way they could keep up with what people were doing. And there was one staffer that was super annoying - singing LOUD and dancing like it wasn't a place of business. Yes, it's great to have a nice energy. But loud singing? The initial physical therapist that worked up my plan didn't check on me once in the several weeks I was there. He seemed to know what he was doing in terms of addressing my issue and setting up a plan. But after observing for a few weeks, it seems his main role is to just get people in. This the only PT place I've been to that doesn't have an actual physical therapist working along side me during each and every exercise. At TSPT, after each exercise, the client goes back to the desk, often waiting in line, to find out what the next exercise is. The staff is just reading off a card that lists the exercises. After all the hours I spent there, I did not see ONCE where a staffer went to a client to correct their form during an exercise. What are the odds that every single client is doing every single exercise correctly every single time?!?! One plus, the guy that does the ice/heat therapy is amazing. He's always busy - checking on people, or cleaning the tables, or prepping the ice/heat packs. And he is always super friendly.
