The wonderful and oft mentioned Maria runs her business like it should be, and has for decades. She was able to explain my options for framing two very large oil paintings clearly, and gave me such excellent advice, opinions and recommendations. Made two difficult decisions much easier. Furthermore, when my frames arrived damaged (twice) from the manufacturer, she checked for this and sent them back for me. And, let me tell you, in spite of these setbacks, I was only surprised that the work was completed almost too quickly. Fact is, I am painting and decorating my living room and was hoping the framing would take longer so that I wouldn't have to bring in this monstrously large painting until it was ready to be hung. In short, if you need quality framing, this is the place to go. Don't be fooled by craft stores like Michael's and they're deceptive 50% off offers. The reason for the 4 stars is that this industry has enormous, prohibitive prices. For art and other items to pale in comparison to the casements that they are featured in is a huge disappointment. I needed a picture framed as a gift and my father recommended Picture It. I went in and Maria was very sweet and patient while I chose the frame, mat, etc. My picture was framed very quickly. When I got the frame home I noticed there was an imperfection in it so I called Maria and she replaced it. We went to Maria to have a blueprint framed. The shop was cute and Maria was extremely helpful. Instead of taking the business and is paying the $120 to have it framed she told us that we could buy a standard size frame from target. I am so glad I found this place. The prices are very reasonable. I was concerned when I first went in, that I wouldn't be able to afford to frame all of my art. I had about 13 items to be framed and I figured it would cost comparable or more than what Michaels would charge with a coupon. I was so happy with the quotes and the fact that I was able to afford to frame all pieces at one time. Maria is so nice and extremely talented. She sat with me for well over an hour to help choose just the right frame and matte colors. I could tell she really cares about making sure everything looks perfect. I was told it would take a few weeks, which was ok by me. I was completely shocked when I received a call about a week later saying they were ready. She does high quality work, and turned some old prints I own into works of art.
