An old friend of mine is really good at taking pictures and I had planned for her to take my daughter's sweet 16 pics. Well I waited until the last minute to ask her if she was free, and it turned out she was going out of town. She had also moved out of the area. On a whim, I happened to read Saleta's post in a Local Fort Worth Group. Her sample pictures were exceptional and I loved the Stockyards setting. It made me so nervous to send money electronically! When I messaged Saleta, she was so quick to respond, she understood my being nervous, and she was so excited to work with us for my daughter's special day. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Saleta, the quality of her work, and her attention to detail. I can say without a doubt that I was not disappointed and you will not be either!

My bf and I won a "free" portrait and yes they did ask us for a $200 holding deposit in case we…read moredecided to ghost the appointment they held for us (made total sense to me but yes I understand is a bit anxiety inducing because $200 for anything at any time is a lot of money). They were super sweet when we requested they make sure to write out for us that we will be receiving the money back after the photoshoot completes. I did get the money back a few days after and was super happy with mostly everything! The only catch is that even though it is advertised as winning a "free" portrait you do actually have to just pay shipping to receive it. So I got back most of the deposit, minus $37. We felt it was worth it but definitely something to keep in mind as it's not an insignificant amount of money! We did ask if we could pick it up instead since we live locally and didn't anticipate spending any money like they had led me to believe when specifying it was completely free but they manufacture the portraits outside of the state so without paying to have it shipped we wouldn't receive it. Definitely docked a star for it out of lack of transparency on just that front but we really are looking forward to it arriving (in 6 months) and loved the experience, the photographers especially made it so fun! The whole team tailors your experience and helps you choose the best image for your portrait. I did not know that creating a portrait could mean so much to me until I visited this studio. My fiancee and I drove an hour and a half to get there, but it was worth it! The portraits truly are pieces of fine art. It was really nice to slow down and enjoy the beautiful moment. Walking in, there was no greeting or direction. The two ladies at the front didn't explain anything and acted like we were supposed to already know what to do. It felt unwelcoming and a bit uncomfortable, especially for first-time visitors. Once we got past that and into the photo room, the vibe completely changed. The staff there were kind, explained everything clearly, and made us feel at ease. They say first impressions matter -- and unfortunately, that part of the experience really missed the mark.

Anyways Amanda proceeded to tell me I can't have my phone and take pictures. Then she proceeded to tell me 7 times without wavering that glamoucraft owns the patents in the US for the plain grey background screen, we all know even Olan Mills used. I asked her to stop talking to me, as it was interrupting & ruining my son's photos, Kimberly was taking. Kimberly ended up verbally attacking me too, to stick up for her friend, she then stated the man in charge and here had been doing this 35 years & could care less. She even wrote her last name down. The man was soft spoken & apologized for their behavior which needed training. The ladies were confident nothing was going to happen to them for their lack of customer service. I did offer him to see my phone & he did admit that Amanda was wrong especially, about the patents. I have various aged children- I will NEVER buy another photo- which are always imo less than in quality (as most of their "photographers" truly don't care) and destroyed in transit or bent in my mailbox- they don't care about customer service here. Not worth the money or frustration. Pay a real photographer & take really cool pictures inside or outside wherever you want.
