The Room Exchange moved to Carrollwood, a fraction of a mile from me. I made an appt to take in some decorator items I was still storing. The staff was terrific those few weeks ago when I took the items in, accepting everything I had taken them. Guess what? Yesterday I received a check for the items, each itemized with what I was being paid.... looks like everything sold. Room Exchange, you all ROCK! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the service is excellent and they provide optional paid (reasonable) services like delivery or pick up. The value is excellent and the condition of the merchandise is outstanding. I try to stop in whenever I'm in the area.....never know when you'll get something you have always wanted but was too expensive new!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Daiso location…read more After we finished shopping, a store employee/manager accused one of my children of opening the packaging on multiple squishy toys. We have three young children (ages 1, 3, and 6), and they have always been taught to purchase before opening any items. They do not open merchandise to take or steal it. I told the manager that if they could show me video footage proving one of my children opened the packages, I would gladly pay for the damaged items. Instead, I was told that "corporate called" and identified our children, but they refused to show any video or explain which child they were referring to. They continued to accuse us without providing any evidence. They also was unsure if it was our kids did it or not as they confirmed there were opened item before my kids walk pass the aisle. Being accused of something like this, especially involving young children, was upsetting and embarrassing. If a store is going to make such a serious accusation, they should be willing to support it with clear evidence instead of expecting customers to accept it without question. My 3 and 6 years old said they did saw the opened items, but they did not opened it. I hope Daiso reviews how situations like this are handled. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, and accusations should be based on facts, not assumptions.

I took them home and was told I had 24 hours to decide if I liked them or not. After the first day, I had decided to keep them. The sales person called me, and said that the store had made a huge error and undercharged me for the stool $100.00 and that they would have to charge my master card the difference. I said I was going to return the stools if that was the case. I took them back to the store and was told I could only get a store credit for the two stools ($595.00) I said NO WAY. I was given a full credit finally. I would not shop at this store, they are NOT nice, and very arrogant.
