To purchase tickets online prior to the show is a real trial. They have the usual verification software with photos asking you to click crosswalks etc. Then they have motorcycles and busses and other things that go over into boxes by a tiny bit... and if you click the tiny bit you are a fail... sorry not able to sell you tickets... sad. If i could give a zero I would they made me shake out my blanket and the guy behind the counter was creepy and staring at me the whole time. Didn't target any of my friends just me. I had a Dr pepper and he wouldn't let me take it to my car. Took it out of my hands and put it behind the counter. This experience completely ruined the whole movie for me. He was very rude acting like I was a criminal or something. Would not recommend going here! read more

I have been here a couple of times. I haven't seen every theater they have. I think three so far. The reclining is nice, I get way too many snacks all are awesome. Like they are fresh and not getting hard already. Everything is competitively priced with the other theater. Haven't been there yet. All and all a good experience every time. read more

I just learned today, that tickets I bought for a concert for March 2020 and were canceled, are not refundable. The Avalon, Tickets.com, Ticketmaster.com, who handles the tickets, state that refunds are simple. Yeah right! Not only is the concert not scheduled for this year (2021), it is only "PENDING" for next year. No date or any other information is available. I am supposed to just wait for a date to be decided on, and if I am free, I can attend using the tickets. If I have to be out of town or unavailable for that date, I guess its my fault and I lose my money. Wow, what a great scam. read more

Today was the worst movie going experience of my life. First, they recommend you by your tickets online because it's "contactless". Then they charge you a 4 dollar fee for buying them online. 2nd i arrived with my 8 year old granddaughter and was told by the manager/ usher/ what ever the hell, "anyone over 3 has to wear a mask, if she didn't l doesn't have one, I have one for her" and gave her a mask. So she put on the mask, we went over to get some ice cream and were told they don't give change because of the " coin shortage". So I went and got change and came back to buy my 3.99 ice cream and she tells me 5.41,Wth 3.99 plus tax is 5.41? "Well the mask is a dollar" I get that it's like 5 bucks I'm complaining about, but had they been up front about the charges i would have just paid them, or gone to my car and grabbed a mask, but don't open your business and beg people to come help you save your business and then nickel and dime me. Also, the "coin shortage" has literally been over for months. At least news of the world was a good movie. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. The seats are very comfortable and the customer service is good. The food is great, especially the ice cream they have. The dollar hotdogs taste like the ones at sonic so i was very pleased:) Everything about my experience there each time gets better, i think it's super practical and cheaper than most theaters, so super affordable. read more

I love the picture show! I love the Coke Freestyle sodas and the unlimited refills! I love the reclining seats and the reserved seating! I don't love that the other movie theater in town gets all the best movies! Also I have had multiple problems with people sitting in my assigned seat and not being willing to move when they are asked. read more

This movie theater is "new" to Grand Junction, in that it is a different company in the location of the new Carmike. It's remodeled and beautiful, and clearly a different theater company than before. Very good to have options in this small town, where you're stuck with either Regal or the limited movies at the Avalon. Pros: *Less expensive movie tickets. *Food options! Burgers, $1 hotdogs, pizza, chicken nuggets, along with popcorn and candy. *Pour your own butter!!! *Pour your own drinks. *Reclining leather chairs! Roomy and comfy! *Big aisles. *Pick your own seats...kind of. Cons: *Staff inconsistently friendly. *Confusing self purchase counters (tickets and concessions are separate) *Won't allow you to purchase ANY seat you want...won't allow for a single seat between groups. *Seating & Row numbers in theater unclear. *Cool drink machine causes for lines when people filling several cups and unsure of cool drink machine mechanics. We will return to this theater because the seats are really comfortable and my daughter thinks the theater is cool. I think they could use an associate/employee who can direct people to the ticket purchasing stands...or just some employees who make eye contact and communicate with people besides telling them their order total. Smiling would be nice. Clearer signage could go a long way. But the theater is clean and has that freshness to it that is appealing. read more

Handicap seating area is very nice but the doors aren't handicap assessable and the sinks are high for someone in a wheelchair.

Was in town for an event with some time to kill. Decided to go see a movie the wife didn't want to see. This complex was the one offering the movie. Tried to book through Fandango, but was unable to do so, but could see schedule. The space looks very small from the outside, but fits 8 screens inside. When I walked in, I was surprised to see self-service ticketing kisoks only. I am unsure how I feel about this. One the one hand, it is a more efficient use of the ticket counter space, and it saves the theatre in staffing costs. On the other hand, this system does not allow for cash sales. It also means the theatre is short 1-2 people who could deal with other issues that come up between ticket rushes. The lobby is rather cramped, and gets even more so when there are 30 people in line for concessions. In the auditoriums, one finds fully reclinable leather seats, which are supremely comfortable. Audio and video are interchangable at movie houses anymore, so nothing to add there. i enjoyed my movie. And my wife would not have liked it. 1 adult matinee ticket = $8. read more

I love this movie theater and seats ! However the last two nights we tried to get tickets to How to train your dragon! First nite was sold out got tickets the second night we get there we are in our seats and a group of kids sit in our isle the lady that was with them asked us to see our tickets we said these are our sets but she went and got the manager he asked us if we could move yea np but the it was a sold out show he gave us two free tickets and our money back.. He was very nice about it BUT the lady was an ass !! I would give the picture a 5 star but the experience was not a good one thanks to the ass lady!! read more

Ticket stand is confusing. Good seats and bad seats. The main reason I only give it 3 stars is there "assigned" seating method. Really kills the overall vibe. Plus I got H12 and was so cramp up front the viewing was unbearable. Shame because the seats are very comfortable. read more

What can I say about picture show that will make everyone want to go? They have food choices, as in hot dogs for a dollar, ice cream, pizza, etc. The combo prices are reasonable, not as expensive as most theaters. Six dollar Tuesday! Any movie, at anytime on Tuesday is only six dollars a ticket, no tax. The screens are not as big like regals but it's worth watching movies because you get to recline in your seats! Fare warning though; it gets cold in the room, so bring a blanket or jacket to keep warm. Totally worth spending the money on this theatre! read more

I always look forward to movie day and usually prefer the picture show theater. I have always been allowed to bring a bottle of water in with me. However today when I brought my water in a very very smug and rude lady told me "corporate was cracking down on bringing water in and that I would have to throw it away" She told me this at the concession stand. It was busy with a long line behind me. After she gave me the popcorn she went over and stood behind the ticket guy to make sure I through my water away. She was so smug I am thinking of not returning. Plus whIle she was so busy trying to make sure I didn't take my water in the lobby looked horrible. It need cleaned so bad it was gross. After I through my water out she went back to helping the long line of people who stood there waiting for her to come back and help them. Wow!!! I guess she really taught me a lesson. Picture show asked us to leave because our very young children did not have a mask on. Currently this isn't even required by the health department. They have zero signs up front explaining such before you walk in. For a line of business that's fighting for existence, you would expect a more warming welcome. read more

I would advise you buy you tickets online as the seats are assigned, I know it sounds weird but it's so worth it!!! Try it out, it's cheaper than Regal and was so much more comfortable! I'm a young truck driver that came to visit and decided to stop in town for a movie. If you know trucks you cannot drive after a certain amount of hours so I walked to Best Buy and purchased a drone, before the movie. I decided to plug the battery In while I waited for them to let me into the movie. A very unfriendly lady approached me talking about how I couldn't use the drone in the movie theatre. I told her I had no intention of doing so. Then she proceeded to tell me to make sure to put it away. I said okay and that was it. If I wanted to film inside the movie theatre I could use my phone, would she have taken that away too? As I approached the counter to be let into the movie she very rudely said don't have that thing out as I told you and I'm going to continue to go Inside and check to make sure your not. So just don't do it. Im young so I get I can look troublesome but the way she spoke to me was so rude and ruined the whole movie for me as she kept coming in and "checking on me". I'm just a traveler trying to have a good time in your small town and felt this was unfair. I would not recommend coming here with employees like that, she was a very entitled young lady working on a Sunday in charge of ripping tickets for entry. Such a unfriendly environment and was not welcoming at all. Having a conversation saying I couldn't use the drone is understandable for safety reason, but she went above and beyond to make me feel bad. read more

I will never go here again! I was forced to bring my water bottles back to the car! The female manager was so smug! I refuse to spend 5-7 dollars for water; They poorly suggested I use water cups, however, I am expected to have my movie interrupted constantly to get up and refill my water. Ridiculous!! It was my husband's birthday and he wanted to go see Coco so we came here. When he walked in with our kids they kinda guilted him into seeing The Justice League which he did but I could tell it bummed him out so I went to the counter and the manger was very sweet and allowed us to change our tickets, then we decided to get our snacks...i messed that up so the manner had to come back and fix that too, with a smile. This is the type of theater that junction needs. Laid back, less expensive, and forward thinking. This place will do well. The seats and leg room are amazing. The concessions are good( maybe add another soda machine ). Sound system is good, projectors are crisp. I'll choose them over regal 99 times out of a 100 for the same movie read more

This is the better theatre in town. It has some lack of movies but the service and the establishment itself is always clean and a comfortable environment. Well priced along with a variety of snacks makes this theatre one of my favorite places for a night out. One of the employees named Nicolle has made my movie going experience a kind and welcoming feeling with a caring attitude. I recommend this place for any person seeking entertainment. read more
