If you are from a small town, if you visit art house theaters or you are nostalgic for the 80s and 90s before mega-plex, 3D, ultra high def, IMAX, power reclining seats were a thing then you will probably enjoy this humble theater. Prices were only $9 for an adult during the evenings for first run movies just out. Popcorn and drinks were only 11.50 for a large combo. If you want a break from the heat and don't expect modern amenities you should stop in. read more

Blast from the past! Whenever I come here I feel like it's 1999 and my mom just dropped me off to see the smash hit movie, The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. Boy, I hope the user doesn't notice the can of Dr. PEPPER and Kit-Kat in my pocket became I only have 35 cents to call home when it's over! Super nice people here and the shows sell out during the busy season so get tickets ahead of time. read more

So as others have mentioned it is a local run theater with 3 screens. What was not mentioned was the terrible smell of feet and sweat (at least in screen 2). It's run down and dirty, see photos. Screen quality and sound was good especially compared to the interior. read more

What a joke of a theater. There is no obvious line to purchase tickets, the only visible line was to purchase concessions, so any reasonable person would assume that was the line to purchase a ticket. The man with slicked back black hair, glasses, and a short grey and black beard at the front was very rude, and yelled at us for walking past the counter to purchase the tickets. When I realised what was going on and purchased my tickets he threw the money and tickets on the table and didn't say a word after that.. Moab needs to invest in a better movie theater read more

Apparently as the only theater in Moab, they feel like they can be as rude as they want to be. I can handle the run-down atmosphere, limited parking, and weird smell. I cannot, however, accept the terrible attitude of the employees. The gentleman selling tickets was extremely rude. Perhaps the "locals" don't like us "city folk" but they should remember, we vacationers have a massive effect on this local economy. read more

They show movies here. $6. 3 Theaters. Peavey speakers mounted to walls didn't sound bad. Big dent in middle of screen (like someone threw something at it) distracted me from movie. But that's just one of three. Still it's the movies! Now go and see something! read more

Okay, look, this is NOT your modern stadium seating, 3-D, dine-in, digital theater, but it's a throwback to the way things used to be and it's cheap! This place is awesome. It's a small town theater and that's what makes it so special. It's family run and I am grateful that it's the only theater in Moab. Moab doesn't need to cater to 'city living' we need to cater to Moab. I love going here for a movie after a long day of playing outside in my favorite vacation spot. Like others,we were looking to beat the heat. We were seated in theater #1. The screen was large, without defects, and the sound and image were clear. The seats were old, and became uncomfortable after a period of time. Somebody brought a crying infant into the theater, and no one on the staff intervened. Clearly a movie house run on a shoe string budget, but better than nothing I suppose. read more

The picture quality is ok, but no 3d. The staff is a bunch of teenagers, and usually rude. The building is old and worn out. The seats must be 25 years old, and never cleaned. However, it is the only theater within a hundred miles. read more

Only place to catch a Moab movie and CASH ONLY. No credit cards taken here. The seats were high backed and a little uncomfortable and something didn't smell quite right. We still enjoyed the show. read more

Movies here are $8 not $6. And you can only pay with cash. That's really bad business for this day and age. This theater is comparable to a dollar theater. Really sad considering they charge 8 dollars! Up where I used to live you payed $1.50 for a comparable theater and $8 for the really nice theaters with stadium seating. But since they are the ONLY theater in town, and it's a 2 hour drive to Grand Junction where they have nice theaters with stadium seating, they can get away with Highway Robbery! Very uncomfortable seats that hurt your neck. Hard to see if anyone is sitting in front of you. A lot of seats have damage ex: torn cushions, worn cushions, broken armrests and so on. read more

Cash Only missing out on people spending more. Also making more money. Not that hard to get a credit card reader thing. Chairs are really old, and Uncomfortable. The sound system is really good though. Everything is overpriced of course, and I don't feel like there's that much selection at the Concession stand. If there was another theater in town I'm certain what little business you get would be gone. The brand new theaters with awesome seats that are shiny and clean are worth 8 bucks a ticket, but a theater where someone obviously tried to draw on the walls, the chairs are old and have holes, and even the fire alarm on the ceiling is hanging off, is not worth that price. The archaic practice of only accepting cash just adds to the reminder that this is an old run down theater. One might be inclined to buy some popcorn if the prices weren't outrageous for that too on top of everything else. I really wonder what a 25% decrease in prices would do for attendance. When we purchased our "tickets" we got some of the weirdest poor customer service ever, barely acknowledged by the cashier, and instead of accepting the cash proffered he tapped the counter indicating that the cash had to be put down to be accepted. I mean really?? You can't talk to me like a human being? You need some retraining for sure. read more
