I went there with my family on Thanksgiving. Three of us in total. And we asked at the concessions for the popcorn and drinks deal. The salesman just kept adding things up to the point of over $70! We were all embarrassed but never have ever paid so much. Nor did any of us want that huge popcorn, XL drinks and 2 candy choices. Was treated terribly my last visit. I bought 5 tickets for me and my friends to see the new Blink Twice movie. I unfortunately had to work and was 40 minutes late, but only had missed 10 minutes of the movie. My friends had shown up on time and alert a staff member that I will be coming later. I showed up to locked doors, and employees shaking their heads at me. Finally, what looked like the manager and another man walked up and opened the door, leaving me to stand in the rain, demanding to see my ticket while and woman behind him yells "Nope! You've got to go!" I shown them my prepaid ticket and she finally sighs and says "Fine, go ahead." I felt so distraught being treated like that. A good friend of mine is a manager there and when she is working I've never been treated like that. Safe to say she was off the clock. I'd say hopefully this won't happen again, but this is the second time I've shown up for a late showtime and the doors are locked before the movie even starts. read more

Last Saturday, my girlfriend and I went to see the new movie US. Let me tell you about how we wasted 30 dollars, and why we will never return. As we sat down in this R rated movie, a large group of underage teenagers piled into the theatre. As expected, they talked during the entire movie, ruining much of the suspense and tension of the movie. This is annoying enough, but not the end of days. Underage teenagers shouldn't have even been in there to ruin the movie, but whatever. What ruined our experience, and why we will never return, was the managers response. I brought this up to the closing manager, who stared blankly at me for a few seconds. He then replied, "well... what do you want me to do about it." I was shocked. After a customer complaint and being informed of 7 minors illegally watching an R rated movie alone on his shift, that is how you respond? To make it worse, the large, bearded manager continued to escalate, blaming me for not informing anyone sooner. For the first time in my life, a manager yelled at me for lodging a complaint. I have never, in 15 years of working in customer service, been treated this way. Never seen someone speak to a customer this way. Let alone a manager. 14 dollar tickets, 6 dollar drinks, and a manager who will yell at you is what awaits you at Regal Cinema Canyon View. Experience the magic today. read more

Clean, comfortable theatre in Grand Junction that's a step up from what used to be available in this town. The line to buy tickets is probably the single greatest failure at this theatre. The lobby is far too small to hold everyone wanting tickets, it's usually packed and understaffed and the self-service kiosks are speedy but when there is only one working kiosk, it's the same as standing in a long line. Stadium seating, leather chairs that you can rock in and very comfy. Lots of bathroom stalls in the women's bathroom to keep the lines moving. read more

I've been here since i was a little kid! i wish the staff were a little nicer. I prefer the picture show, it has way comfy seats, good priced snacks+tickets, and its so easy to get tickets! its very hard to get tickets without waiting 100 years lol. i like how open it is, there is a lot of space. the food sucks here too! i would rather sneak stuff in. they wont even let me bring water into the theater even if im open about or, they have super nasty water that is warm! Where did the recliners go??? They must have been replaced with the uncomfortable straight back chairs cannot recline at all forcing one to to sit straight with both legs bent at knees, feet on floor. Unfortunately due to disability problems with my back and knees I cannot sit with both legs on floor nor sit up straight for any length of a movie. Used to be they had recliners which were perfect as one could use the footrest to place both legs on it and be elevated. Went to see last James Bond movie was surprised recliners were replaced. Less than 15 minutes into the movie the pain was soon intense I was crying we had to leave. Never to return. Nice to know the Picture Show theatre has recliners. Will NEVER return to this Regal theatre. read more

Tickets overpriced... of course they are. Concession stand overpriced... of course it is. It is a movie theater what did you you expect. This is by far the nicest theater in the area. I don't mind the Carmike but I would much rather wait till I am back in Denver where the selection of theaters is much better before going there. A little overpriced but what isn't anymore. Last two time we were there the theater was too cool for comfort. Wife had to wear her jacket and used mine to cover her lap. My fingers and feet were uncomfortably cold. Won't be visiting anytime soon until the theater is warmer. read more

This movie theater is terrible. I have never dealt with such inconsiderate and disrespectful workers. The ticket sales guy rolled his eyes at me several times because I was asking about a movie. Then he made me uncomfortable by asking for my snapchat right after I caught him looking down my shirt. The people at the concessions had attitudes as well. Disrespectful and ignorant workers. BUT...They DO NOT have Matinee Pricing...They Never offer Deals on FOOD... and They have the audacity to charge almost $5-dollars more for a New Movie like Fantastic Beasts. Ridiculous doesn't really cover it. They do nothing in the Community. I've been in the media here in Grand Junction for a while ...and most, if not all times we reached out for charitable organizations they balked in their giving. A truly bizarre experience deserving a review. Never been to this theater before, but attempted to see screening of a classic movie tonight. These are almost always nearly empty theaters. No one at the ticket office, just signs saying to purchase tickets at concessions. At concessions only a gaggle of teenagers, and when asking to buy a ticket I'm told there's a problem with the system, they can't sell a ticket, yes the movie is showing and if ticket was bought previously all is OK but it's complicated, they could sell a ticket to a different movie but it's a different price and so, it's complicated, sorry. Bottom line, this operation is so poorly run that they are literally unable to sell a ticket or take money to enter an empty theater. Sign of the times I'm afraid, and not a great sign that any other aspects of this theater are going to be a quality experience. read more

Second time I have had to walk out of an R movie here. Why? Crying and noisy babies in the audience. Manager refunded my money no problem, but clearly they aren't too concerned about the listening environment. Plus it's EXPENSIVE!! You'd think you'd get a better experience for the money. I am from Phoenix, AZ and yesterday I decided to go to the movies. I went a 3:30 pm. There was no one in the ticket booth or inside service desk. I had to get in line with the people getting tickets and concessions I there was about 8 people in front of me but only three groups. But I waited 15 minutes to just to buy a ticket. It caused me to be a little late for my movie. Some of the people in front of me had issues with something so it took longer. I waited until after the movie was over to talk to the management. I was kind, not mad, just wanted to understand why they do what they do, when there are some many waiting to get in to the movies. The Manager told me that it was company practice not to have anyone in the ticket booth and a dedicated line for just tickets only because they didn't have enough personnel. I didn't get much sympathy for having to wait long. Just company practice! Oh by the way, only two people at the registers, and then a third person came to help an individual but didn't stay to help all of the rest of us. This is a poor practice in my mind! read more

And if a show gives away swag forget about getting one for the person you walked in with from the person who escorted you into the theater if they're getting concessions. Notified the manager, who came in as they talked, and did absolutely nothing. This theater clearly makes no effort to enforce the rules of civil moviegoing, and makes me very hesitant to spend my money there. Theatre is big and roomy sound is good. This is by far the most expensive theatre i have ever been too, even the dolby pro theatre in vegas is cheaper then here. Every new release i ever see is in the same theatre with a giant scratch in the screen that has been there for years and has not been fixed. The new picture show is better in ever way, its cheaper, much cheaper, all drinks have unlimited refils kids under 4 are free, the projectors r better offering supeior picture quality and they have electronic reclining seats, i will no longer go to canyon view unless its a movie i want to see in theatre and it is not playing at the picture show, save your money go some where else or wait for blu ray. If u get tbe theatre with the giant svratch in the upper left side ask for a refund maybe they will fix it but i doubt it read more

I only go here if the movie I want to see isn't showing at the Carmike. The screens are tiny, and often I can see the pixels from their digital projectors unless I sit way in the back. I saw "Night at the Museum" here and it looked absolutely horrible. I think they were using an old VCR that night. The prices on drinks and snacks are ridiculously high. The last film I saw here was "Midnight in Paris", and I could hear explosions and gunfire throughout the movie from one of the fourteen adjacent rooms. Not the worst theater I've been too, but not the best either. The overall appearance of the interior and exterior are slightly above average. This theater usually has all the best movies but is also slightly overpriced on the tickets as well as highly overpriced on concession stand products. The workers are friendly, however concession workers tend to take their time. Regardless, I would rather visit this theater than the Carmike nearby any day. read more

I've been going to movies at this theater since it was built in 2006. The staff is hit and miss but that's typical. However, management does not plan for sufficient coverage during the busy times. I noticed this beginning in December when Star Wars came out but it hasn't died down and as recent as March 12, the theater has been busting at the seams without sufficient staff at the ticket booth or at the concession lines. Not all registers are open and the wait time in the concession line is 20 minutes at best when they're at their busiest. I understand the crowd fluctuates throughout the day, however, this is no excuse. It is not logical when you're required to be at the theater an hour or more before the show starts. One recommendation I have for them is to get a pop machine so people who just need a drink can get in and get their drink without having to stand in the concessions line. read more

So we were in line with people buying their snacks and drinks along with people trying to buy their tickets. We missed our showing and had to go to the later show. The Regal is a comfy theater with lots of screens, stadium seating, and shows popular, first-run movies. My family won't even entertain the idea of the Carmike--so this is basically it for movies when I'm in Junction. It's expensive, for sure, but no complaints about the movie-viewing experience. read more

The past two times my family has attended a show at this theater, there have been no parking spaces available for our handicap van (our daughter uses a wheelchair). Unfortunately, this is not only a business issue, but a community issue as well. There is a large number of people in this community who abuse handicap parking spots- cars without placards/plates and cars that do display tags with everyone in the car literally "running" into the theater. But this is also a business issue because the manager will do nothing about the lack of parking spots; or even when asked, report the cars not displaying proper tags. Thier lack of being willing to accomodate to our needs will have us using the other theater in town (not as nice, but definitely cheaper), or only viewing movies when we travel to Denver. read more
