There is often a gift shop part that goes with the exhibit. There are parts that are always there including a shelf of books, movies, and other media for sale by donation (put the money in the karma jar in the front). The front area as a welcome desk and a bar, which is mostly used during live shows. They have a full theatre area as well that can maybe fit 50 people. We came to a few shows over the years including an interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show and a Star Wars trivia night. Drinks are mostly used for your enjoyment and as a fundraiser. Be sure to check their website and social media for upcoming events and to buy tickets if needed. The back area also has office space for Honolulu art installations and festivals. So we talked to them about replacing some gates around our pool, and then replacing the railing around our Lanai. They always showed up when they said they would be there. Beyond Builders and their staff were communicative and understanding from start to finish! In our initial meetings with Josh and Tomoko, they carefully listened to our desired outcomes and focused on staying within a set budget we were comfortable with (cuz economy's tough y'know?). Once the contract was signed, 3D designs were promptly drafted which gave us several options to choose from, they guided us through obtaining required items for the material list, and once everything was ready a start date was set. They were very patient with us, we never felt rushed, and our desired outcomes were always prioritized. Junior and Ming were the leads on the renovation portion, and MAN do they work efficiently! They said it would take two weeks, and they finished in two weeks. One thing I appreciate about their crew was the communication on progress and collaborative questions. For example, before installing handles on the cabinets they would ask beforehand how we'd like them placed. They always made sure it was being made the way we wanted. At the end of the renovation, the kitchen felt like something out of a movie set. As you can tell in the attached pictures, the before pictures (green, walled) and after pictures (open, white countertop) is night and day. They were doing such a good job that I had to request a change order to install a new vanity in our bathroom to replace the old one haha. All in all, Beyond Builders was a pleasure to work with. (I was literally just trying to include a personalized note in the shipment and ensure the prints would be signed). She made no attempt to take responsibility, make me feel valued as a customer and when she asked me what I wanted her to do, I said well I think saying I'm sorry would really help. Mind you this was after 10 min on the phone with her already and no expression of understanding whatsoever. Shockingly, she said she would not apologize, at which point I said I would be cancelling my order. It's a shame that's a studio with such beautiful art is supported by staff with such an ugly approach to customer service. I highly recommend you avoid this gallery and instead shop at one of many other island galleries that truly understand the meaning of Aloha.

We chose a quartz that was in stock to save time, so I cannot image what the time-frame would have become if we'd special-ordered something. Summary of some (not all) of our experience: 1. They were back-logged from accepting more orders than they could handle. 2. First measurements were incomplete. 3. Edge was not correct, but re-doing would add "about 3 months" time since they were so busy. They refunded fee we'd paid for the edge, but we have to live with it. 4. Did not fit properly and piece was missing, then took several more weeks for another installer to be available to put in the forgotten piece. 5. The people in the shop were all very nice, but the owner was never on-island and they had to wait for "the boss" to call in to schedule things or decide remedies. They need an on-site manger with some authority. In the end, we are satisfied with the countertop appearance but the hassle and 20 week process would prevent me from recommending Stone Concepts.
