Had lunch here today ordered the minestrone soup and quarter soup. This was just before noon. When we got our order everything looked great. This is until we had the soup. The soup wasn't warm enough and the vegetables weren't even cooked. We suspected that the soup haven't been in the stove long enough. When our waiters asked we liked our meal. We told her how the soup was warm and veggies not cooked. Her reply was okay I'll let them know. We get the bill and no discount. We go to the cashier and she ask us how was our meal. Again we told her about the soup. Her reply was did you tell your server? Yes we did. Dead air. Come on. Nobody offer an apology now offered us a discount. Was in town for a doctors appointment and hadn't eaten all day. Stopped in to do some shopping and thought I would check this place out. Glad I did. I had half an Italian sub which was more like a whole sub. The rolls they use are the right sub rolls....chewy exterior with a fluffy interior to hold all the goodies. I had mine loaded and it was with everything. Tasted so fresh. Yum....It is hard to find a good sub nowadays. I will be back to check out the pizza. read more

Great food and service. Ordered daily special with quarter roast beef sub and homemade minestrone soup, and home brewed ice tea. Very satisfied with everything. My husband had the original brick oven pizza from Pie In Sky when it was located in Stowe, VT. Travelled from far away for a Vermont vacay and were slightly disappointed that it is no longer brick oven pizza. We had the vegetarian pizza which had broccoli, onions, carrots and cheese. Pretty good pizza, great grinders and a superb little restaurant in the Hannaford plaza. I've always got great service here and I usually get take out. It's got plenty of booth seating indoors. The calzones are also excellent here, highly recommended. I wouldn't call it the best pizza in town but it has been always on the spot for taste, quality and consistency. Upon coming back to the area the first thing I did was refresh myself on the local pizza offerings - in the past my go to was Mimmos. It used to be that their pies were fresh, simple and delicious, maybe I've changed, but more likely they've let their quality slip - after more than a handful of disappointing pies I decided I'd try Pie the Sky, which i remembered from my teen years as being not that spectacular. Love all of the subs!! The Philly cheese steak is my favorite. Great service and consistently great food. My husband and I have been frequenting pie in the sky for several years and now our kids enjoy the individual slices. My son is 2 and will eat two slices by himself and he's a picky eater. Very good casual food. The staff was very pleasant and attentive (even during a very busy lunch time). The food was delicious. It is located in a shopping center and would be overlooked by travelers (we were heading from Canada to Burlington) but we would recommend stopping for a quick bite. Stopped there for lunch, I had the italian meat sandwich and my mom had the outer sprout, both of use were highly disappointed.. they just weren't very good and it was mostly bread, hardly anything inside the sandwich. This place is great. They have there own beer brewed by a local microbrewery. Their pizza is beyond the normal pepperoni. Try the St Albans, a white pizza with apple or the Pineapple Passion also real good. read more

The food is great. My family and I visit weekly. We usually get slices of pizza but the subs are equally as delicious. I can tell the owner takes pride in his establishment and the food and service are a reflection. I have never been there when the owner is not the one actually slinging the pizzas. The menu is fairly priced. The restaurant is family friendly. The restaurant is always clean. I have eaten at just about every place in Saint Albans, we frequent here the most by a landslide. read more

LOVE this place! This is by far my favorite place to order pizza from. It is always cooked to perfection and they have a great variety of toppings. I also love how you can order single slices made fresh on the spot, perfect for a quick lunch! Oh and I can never leave without grabbing one of there fresh baked cookies to go :-) they are so soft and moist. Food is very good here, if you go during lunch or dinner times be prepared to wait though as it is a popular hot spot. However...be EXTREMELY careful when reviewing the menu's online. There are various menu's and ALL have very different prices. Under the main search box (which also has the pie in the sky web address) the prices are approx. $2.00 less for items. The menu under the yelp address the prices are approx. $3.00+ less & if you happen the click on the 2nd search line (which also has the pie in the sky web address) will have a picture of the restaurant, click on "our menu" & it brings up the most recent menu (i.e. foot long turkey sub lists @ $10.00,shows $8.75 & $6.95 on other menus. & cheese stromboli shows $8.75 but lists as $6.95), just be cautious of the menu pricing. read more

Been eating here since the 90s when it has 4 or 5 tables. It's always great, has only gotten better. Good meat and vegetarian options. Subs are incredible, pizza too- even the basic pasta is great. It's the dough! I almost always get a half sub and a slice, but I'm not sure if there's anything I haven't had. Stromboli is great too! The large subs are huge- be warned! read more

I wish I lived closer! Every time I go to St. Albans I find an excuse to eat here. The BLTs with the works are the best subs I have ever had! No exaggeration! The St. Albans pizza is a close second. We have tried most everything on the menu, and it is all spectacular. The customer service is great, too. Great pizza. Not exactly New York City pizza but pretty close. They serve other dishes as well (pasta,salads, sandwiches) that look delicious but I go for the pizza. Other than during the usual peak times being seated right away is not a problem. It's located in a large shopping center (Hannafords, TJ Maxx, etc.) so there's never an issue with parking. read more

Let me first just say that the food at pie in the sky is great. The pizza is good, the calzones are good, and the subs are good. But just make sure you order the food well before closing time. Tonight I went into the restaurant one half hour before closing time, expecting to get some good customer service, not the case. We were greeted with "Whatta ya want?!" Followed by mumbled whispers complaining about me and my girlfriend making them turn the ovens back on (30 mins before closing time!). I left and returned a few minutes later, unbeknownst to the rude greeter. As I sat there waiting for my order the woman came out of the back room and yelled through the restaurant, "Are they F****** back yet?" Never have I experienced such poor customer service before. So if you are looking to get good food go to pie in the sky, but make sure you do it early, otherwise you might inconvenience the staff. read more
