Years of Trust Broken -- Unprofessional & Discriminatory Staff at Piedmont Urgent Care My family has been using this urgent care facility for years, and I've always trusted Piedmont to provide safe, respectful care. Unfortunately, that trust was shattered during my daughters' recent visit for sports physicals. My 15-year-old and 20-year-old went in together, and while in the exam room, the staff openly gossiped about them and made offensive, gender-related comments about one of them. This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and discriminatory--completely unacceptable in any healthcare setting, but especially from a place we have relied on for so long. As a parent, I thought Piedmont would be a safe environment even if I couldn't be present. This incident has shown otherwise, and I will be sharing our experience so other families are aware. read more

This is the most horrible urgent care I have ever visited. I arrived at 5 something it's now almost 8 . I have yet to be seen. Front desk has attitudes and a lot of playing in the hallway while you sit waiting on a provider. We have to do better corporate or someone needs to step in immediately. Learn to treat people how you would like to be treated. No sense of urgency no sympathy for patients who are in pain. read more

I love that you're able to make same-day appointments but the urgent care is extremely slow. Some of the NP's are friendly and helpful... and some are not. I guess it just depends on the day. I would recommend this place but not if you're in a rush. read more

The front desk reception is the worst first point of contact you can meet during an illness or injury. She is very rude and does not greet patients when they walk in. She failed to provide clear information or speak in a helpful, approachable manner. She behaved in a manner that is unprofessional. She was dismissive and had a bad attitude. Do NOT go here. Front desk is rude and I think they saw my first review and intentionally sped up my process to get me out of there because the girl at the front desk started rolling her eyes at me and staring at me after I posted it and then soon after I was called back. She knew it was me because I asked how much longer did I need to wait for a drug test? I was there for 40+ minutes waiting just to pee in a cup and she got an attitude and cut me off after politely asking. They ended up tampering with my drug test results and it was "lost in transit". Pretty sure it was done on purpose because of my review and now I have to reschedule but I'll be using another facility. I guess they thought they were going to delay my hiring process... all because I was honest in my review. read more

I'm not sure why the actual website allows patients to choose a time slot and location for service. I also uploaded my insurance info and demographic info prior to arrival. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment. Per the site, I alerted staff that I'd arrived. When no staff responded or approached my vehicle, I entered the establishment. I was told that there were 5 people ahead of me and that I wild have to wait. All I needed was a Covid-19 PCR test. I am sick and waiting for over an hour is ridiculous when I scheduled an apt. I'm still waiting in my car for someone to come out to perform my Covid-19 test.... 2 hours later. I'm never coming back to this location. I'm an RN, and I have never provided such horrible service, nor have I worked for an establishment that allows for this to happen. It's worse than an Emergency Room environment. The building is clean and empty. I'm still not sure why I'm still waiting 2 hours later. Unbelievable! Do not waste your time at the Ellenwood location. UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Went in for a covid test for work. The line was outside and wrapped around the building when I got there. I almost went home. I had a virtual visit the earlier yay morning which gave me an appointment. They called me on my phone put me in a room and sent me on my way. Easy. Test results hit my phone an hour an a half later. I was scared going cause I was in so much pain. But Corretta is the best. She made my visit pleasant! Had me laughing the whole visit. The ladies at the front desk are just to cute! Very customer oriented! I wish they could be my primary care office. Knee pain - I turn 50 and start falling apart! But they handled me with care. BP is high so I have to go take of that! The facility is clean, fast, and staff is friendly enough. I don't have Insurance for now so my walk in fee was around $150 and then I paid full price for meds. Not that bad! Will go back again, but hopefully I won't need to! read more

Had to visit the Eagles Landing location late yesterday and everyone from the front desk to the back office were pleasant, professional, and proficient! I was feeling really weak and miserable but the staff kept me laughing and everyone truly seemed passionate about their jobs. It's great when staff can smile and care so late in the evening! Do not leave your debit or credit card on file. They will take your money without notifying you ahead of time. Takela in billing is the worst!! I was told that it's a courtesy to receive notification before withdrawing from you account. Basically if you don't receive notification it's your fault and oh well. I do not recommend this place. I had no idea that there was a balance left over after my insurance company portion was paid. I No phone call. No statement in the mail. I realize it when $198 was withdrawn from my account 3 months after my visit. I was told that if there were any patient responsibility that I would be notified but I had to leave a card on file. I didn't feel comfortable at first but was reassured that no monies would be withdrawn with my notification. Then 3 months later without notification $198 was withdrawn. Again Takela from billing was extremely unprofessional and of no help at all. I was advised by her that even though I was told In the office that I would be notified, notification is a courtesy. I was very dissatisfied with my visit. I am having an episode of horrendous back pain and nerve pain and I arrived in pain and left with nothing to at least make the pain bearable. They don't have any MDs on staff there just PAs. read more

Yes. This was the quickest and most efficient medical experience i have ever received. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was nice, physically appealing, and clean. There were 4 people ahead of me. I was taken care of and discharged in an hour and a half. I think it's very unprofessional for the online appointment system to tell you to arrive early for your 8am appointment only to get there and have to stand outside and front desk not acknowledge your presence. They waited until my appointment time to come to the door and tell me that I was missing paperwork. I explained to them, that's why I arrived early per their instructions on the website. read more

Great first visit. Very friendly staff. I was greeted as soon as I entered. I was taken to the back within 10 mins of appointment and was completely finished and out in less than 30 with all my needs assessed and met. Great job. Office is clean and well organized. Update - It is now May. My insurance paid them in March, and they still haven't refunded me my money for my visit. I now have had to resort to financial dispute measures for their negligence. read more

Was seen quickly after arrival for hives. Daphene Smith, PA immediately gave me a shot and medicine for the itching. Then she wrote 2 prescriptions and sent them to my drug store. One needed prior authorization from my insurance co. They gave me 2 alternative medicines that was approved. I called and Ms. Smith said she did not "fool with prior authorizations" and hung up on me. The next morning my insurance co. called, found her in Canton and spoke with her and again she hung up on my insurance co. Due to intense discomfort I had the first prescription filled at my expense. All Ms. Smith had to do was talk to my insurance company to get the name of the other meds or to explain to my insurance company why she thought I needed the meds she prescribed. And hanging up on me and my insurance company just added fuel to the fire. I have been to Piedmont Urgent Care twice before and was satisfied with the service. This time, not so much!!! read more

I went to this establishment to have my mother's foot looked at she had fallen and was in pain. The hours posted here are untrue. The posting on the door stated they closed at 8PM we arrived at 7:40PM. The doors were locked and a very rude woman on the inside stated they saw their last patient at 7:30PM and that there was a hospital across the street. This was very disturbing and I questioned the care that would have been rendered. It's a shame that people who are suppose to care don't. read more

Staff was courteous but never sent my specimen to the lab to be tested. Since treatment hinges on proper diagnosing of the condition, Brightpoint failed miserably. After finding out from the lab that my specimen was not registered with the lab nor received by the lab, I then thought back on the $150 fee charged to be seen by a NP, given two prescriptions, and the 3 hour wait to be seen for 10 minutes, man what a rip off! read more

My daughter was seen at Brightpoint for a bad ear infection, right before they closed for the night. she was told to go next door to publix to pick up her prescriptions to help relieve the pain The Publix Pharmacist said that they have not received any prescription from Broghtpoint and that this happened several times from Brightpoint. The Pharmacist waited for about 30 minutes after she was clocked out to see if the prescription came in,,,,to no avail! My daughter suffered all night with pain as no one could be reached at Brightpoint care and all employees left right after my daughter was seen. The next day we call Brightpoint to ask why the perscription was not sent and suggested from now on give patients a written prescription along with electronic perscription when it is within a hour of closing time to prevent anyone of falling through the crack. I spoke with a nurse named "Journey" and when I was asking about the prescription she hung up on me. I am going to make a formal complaint to the SOS office and other Licensing boards about Brightpoint and the Nurse. I would NEVER send a loved one to Brightpoint for ANY treatment based on my experience with them. They are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT.
