I'm normally a big fan of pieology, but didn't have the best experience at this location. To start, the staff were not able to tell us how many toppings we could have on our pizza, and everyone just kept shrugging saying they didn't know. We had to limit our toppings because we didn't want to get over charged. Then, when they made the pizza, they burnt the tomatoes on top. I'd recommend maybe taking that off the menu since it clearly doesn't burn well. The taste was good, however and still will come back, would just recommend educating staff more on the products. read more

I usually really enjoy my visits to Pieology, as I've been to some in other states in numerous occasion, but this one was a bit disappointing. To give credit where credit is due, the restaurant itself was clean, somewhat busy, and had a decent amount of seating. The pizza also actually tasted pretty good, and the price, per usual, was reasonable -- about $15 to feed two of us. Unfortunately, the staff experience brought this visit down. While one team member was kind and helpful, others seemed unfamiliar with the menu and pricing and genuinely uninterested in answering questions, which seemed kind of counterintuitive to working in the service industry. Can't say this would be the first Pieology location I'd be back to if I were to choose one to visit again. read more

The freshness of the pizza here is probably down to the fact that they are made to order. The service was also very efficient and friendly. I liked the lighting and the vibe at the restaurant. The place was also spacious and clean. On a side note, I liked their bathroom sign . The food: - The 11'5 pie (3-cheese alfredo, sausage, chicken, mushroom, corn, spinach, olives and pineapples) (10/10): I thought the pizza crust hit the balance between crispy and chewy. It was also not too thick or too thin. The ingredients also tasted fresh and juicy. The sauce was also savory. I enjoyed every single bite and don't have any complaints regarding the pizza pie! - Chicken wings (10/10): The chicken wings were also very satisfying to the last bite! They were juicy and seasoned well. I have been eating Pieology more often after this first visit because the pricing is well worth the quality of food that they are offering. I was solo for the day while the wife and kid went to a Disney park so I wandered over from our hotel to this restaurant located in Flamingo Crossings. The decor and ambience is modern, sleek, and clean. It's like Chipotle in that you order the components you want and they assemble as you go down the line. I opted for a thin crust cheese pizza. I wanted something simple and easy, and I like plain cheese pizza. The ordering process needs some work. They don't have menus so you order off revolving displays above the food counter. The menus change every 5 second or so, which means you either need to be familiar with the menu or you have to read and think very fast. I chose my crust but then the guy started saying if I wanted a meal I could only get 7" and not 11". Nowhere is it explained what comes with a meal and what does not. I have no idea why he started telling me about what I could not have even though I had already indicated that I wanted something different. I asked about toppings with my 11" cheese and he said "as many as you want" but I remember reading about uncharges and so I just kept it simple to avoid a $20 pie for lunch. It all was rather confusing. I was the only person in the restaurant so my pie was assembled and cooked quickly. Once I got it, bubbling hot, I was pleased with the flavor and quality. The curst was thin, the cheese was flavorful, and overall it was a highly satisfying pizza. I got exactly what I wanted: a simple thin crust that was tasty. There are signs around the restaurant that ask dine in patrons to use a tray and not a box, but I was given a box so I am not sure why the disconnect occurred. Eh. A cross between Blaze and chipotle. We ordered 2 pizzas. 1 cheese and 1 combination. Somehow the combination pizza had spinach on it (u just have missed that in the description). It had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onion, green pepper and spinach. So that was interesting. The tomato sauce is very sweet and thick-paste like. The pizza is soft on the bottom- no way to hold the slice in hand and eat it. We ordered to go so the service was counter service. Very quick. Atmosphere seemed okay. First time at this location and I'm very disappointed. It being in a prime spot with lots of tourist you would think it would cleaner and more efficiently run. I'll start off by saying that it was not crazy busy but it was super messy behind the counter. They were very well staffed but not zoned correctly. The workers were working hard but ontop of each other. The guy that took our order helped us from start to finish and although he was nice there was plenty times someone was working over him. Again i will say the manager didn't do a good job assigning his staff to zones because there were 3 delivery people waiting for their orders to be waiting for more than 10 minutes to us overhearing the guy that helped us saying "oh it was right there" We ordered pizza wings and a calzone. We loved this place! We ordered online so it was ready when we got there, but there was a long line for those making their own pizza and it moved pretty slow. I couldn't tell if it was the customers not knowing how/what to order, or if it was the employees. There's a piece of paper at the front of the line saying "online orders go straight to register" but I did not see it until about 7 minutes in. The food was delicious! We made our own pizzas. Mine was with cauliflower crust and Ben did thin crust. The pepperoni and sausage were both high quality! The sausage had fennel which I personally love! The ranch is that good ranch!!! My friend and I were in the area after visiting a friend and were craving pizza with anchovies. Unfortunately, Pieology does not have anchovies. But they did have an abundance of other toppings to create our very own dream pie. When we saw the price of $14.95 with unlimited toppings, we were sold! We totally forgot about our anchovy craving. We decided to do a half and half thin crust pizza so we can try a bit of everything without ruining the taste. First, the pizza assembler slathered on some garlic sauce on the pizza with cheese. For my half I had the pesto, ricotta cheese, red onions, more garlic, basil, and sausage and a drizzle of olive oil. Her half had the Alfredo sauce, chicken, tomatoes, and red onions. And then we finished the top with some ranch before he placed it in the oven. We wanted to get the dessert pizza but they were out of Nutella. Oh well.. next time! Our pie came out perfect! The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings for each half complimented each other well. The toppings were flavorful and satisfied our tastebuds. Also, the online ordering process is confusing, and the signature pizzas described in the menu are almost impossible to find to place an order. We did takeout. We ordered 3 many toppings pizza. We especially used them because they offered a cauliflower crust option which we needed to have for 2 of our guests dining with us. I have to say out of the 3 pizzas ordered with almost 10 toppings on each the cauliflower was the winner and that was even a little burned too but the tastiest. The other 2 had many vegetable toppings one a white pizza. The dough was the issue no flavor and very gummy with no hold to eat. If you didn't fold up your slice or use a knife and fork then you'd have a sloppy mess. I also have to say that for 2 xl and a 10" cauliflower pizza $80 price with us picking it up was very very steep. I'm sorry to say we will probably not be ordering from this pizza place again. The 3rd star really was for the cauliflower pizza option but that's it other than allowing multiple topping variety. Need to find a better dough that holds up when sliced. read more

I've gone to plenty quick service pizzas places like Blaze, Mod, and even Pieology before. This location was insanely slow, from the time I walked in to the time I walked out it took 45 minutes for one thin crust pizza, I also have to mention that they used WAY too much cheese, I should have said light cheese because I've never seen so much cheese on one thin crust pizza before. There has to be a better system for this location to handle online and in person orders at the same time. * I need to update this review because I found the response to it to be absolute BS. How are you gonna say that this stuff takes "time" at a quick service spot. I shouldn't be waiting 45 minutes for a pizza when I've never waited that long at some of the busiest days at pieology where I live in southern CA. This place needs to figure out a better way to handling long lines of customers. My complaint about the cheese was also not addressed because why should the cheese be two times thicker than the crust?!?! I was actually getting nauseous from the amount of cheese. read more

What does a Buffalonian look for in Florida when needing some comfort food? Pizza. And even though there isn't many pizza places down there that can make it like Buffalo does, it's still pizza! Located in Flamingo Crossings and near the Disney College Program housing, Pieology is a convenient option for Disney cast members who can receive a 10% discount or a nice stop after being at the parks all day. It's similar to many of the new pizza shops with the "Chipotle line system", where you can make a custom pizza just for yourself or to split with someone. I had a custom pizza on their "Pie-Rise" crust which was good but still didn't seem think or sturdy enough. The whole process of choosing ingredients and ordering is very easy and they had so many toppings to choose from. I think the drawback with their conveyor belt oven method is the only drawback to them competing with a wood-fired pizza. Like I said, the crust seemed floppy and maybe because it's not getting the toasting on the bottom like other places. But even with that, I enjoyed the pizza. I am a sucker for pizza so I am gonna be a fan of anywhere that lets me make my own. I liked the interior of the shop too. It felt like it could be a great spot for a happy hour or even to work remotely. I love that they served Kona Big Wave. That was cool to see as a big Kona fan. I've been coming here for the past year during my DCP and the food is fye. However service is usually pretty damn bad. Specifically, the lil Asian girl (who was working December 30th at 7:40) always is messing up the orders and is rude as hell about it. I actually can't believe she still works there honestly. There are some preset recipes but you can also create your own My husband went for the meat lovers and I got the truffle mushroom pizza. The flavors were good and it was super goey. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that the dough was a little undercooked in the middle of both (so when you pulled a slice away like half of the ingredients fell off). A plus of this place is that you are able to purchase a beer with your pizza. The interior reminds me of a friend's basement. There are some tables where the seat is a couch, so it is cozy. We came back recently and actually enjoyed it with family, so we tried it again. That was a mistake. The employees generally have no idea what is going on. They will will always up-charge you when you ask to have enough cheese to actually cover the pizza. $1 for extra cheese, but they will charge you $2... If someone orders a sauce on top of their pizza after it bakes, make sure you check it, because reading a receipt to see what pizza it goes on may be just too challenging for the staff. If you are supposed to be a quick pizza spot, but have no dough ready when guests go to order and they wait 5-10 minutes for employees to talk before they all communally come over to think about making the pizzas for you, you have immediately lost "fast" from your service. If you're trying to compete with Blaze Pizza, you're going to really need to improve. read more

The cinnamon bread was pretty good but next time we would get it with less chocolate. I enjoyed a Pieology when I lived in Raleigh - it was close to my apartment, reasonably priced, and a good quality build-your-own pizza place! So I was really excited to hear Flamingo Crossings get one! Normally I'm a loyal Blaze Pizza gal for custom thin crust pizzas, but this is the only other chain that gives Blaze a run for their money! Their signature pizzas are tasty, and the build your own pizzas we got on this trip were generously heaped with mozzarella and our favorite toppings. The cheese bread was a nice add-on! The staff is clearly still adjusting to dinner crowds and getting everything to work smoothly with their computer system, especially in terms of Pieology's rewards program. Despite some slower service due to technology at our visit, the manager remained kind and patient with his staff - he even delivered our pizzas to our table and made sure everyone had what they needed. Let me start off that Pieology on Flamingo Crossing just opened 4 days ago and with any opening to a new location there are going to be issues. With that said I experienced no issues. I was able to order my customisable and plain Jane cheese pizza without a hitch. If you want beer with your pizza order your pizzas to go and right by there there's a a cool brewery and have your pizza outside with your nice cold beer. The ambiance was great , laidback , and quick service. The owners were super kind and excited to have their establishment opened and I was happy they finally opened. I love having options and in flamingo crossing we are getting just that a ton of options. I also love having the option of adding a high amount of jalapeños to my pizza. It's the best of both worlds. Over all we enjoyed our pizza and plan to order from them when we crave customisable pizzas. Give them a try and see for yourself. read more

There is plenty of seating, tall tables with director type chairs and even a few couches, a huge tv. A cool set up! There are a few "specialty" pizzas, or you can create your own. They have a few different salads and cheese breads as well. Everything is made and cooked to order so it is fresh, hot and delicious for sure!
