Stopped them while visiting family just up the street from this restaurant. We decide to stop here based on their recommendations. It was a Wednesday evening approximately 6 PM. We had just sat down and our server took our drink order. Fairly simple order of a Negroni, glass of wine, soda pop, and water. The Negroni seemed to take a lot longer than it should have. We ordered our meals and I received my Negroni. My wife ordered the small meat, eaters pizza, her sister a pepperoni Stromboli, her husband the meat lasagna, while I ordered the veal marsala. We asked for an order of garlic knots to start. When the garlic knots came out, I ordered another Negroni, and again it took a long while for it to come out with a gentleman, saying if I order another one he'll make sure it gets to me quicker. Our meals came out, all was well presented. There were no complaints regarding the lasagna or Stromboli. I tried a piece of my wife's pizza, delicious! Unfortunately, the veal marsala was lacking flavor. The sauce was rather thin and flavorless. True to his word, my third Negroni came out fairly quickly. By that time, the place was rather loud and bustling. After reading a previous review regarding the veal marsala, it seemed this is an ongoing issue. The pizza was overcooked almost burnt crust wouldn't bend, dry no sauce, too thin, toppings were very scarce, pepperoni was bitter and very salty, an expensive tasteless piece of crap!!! Well after eating here I have to say the service was awesome, the food portions quite large and the meals were delicious. I had a cauliflower crust pizza and the crust was done to perfection. Usually I get it soggy on other places when I order one. My friends had this huge 18" pizza with lots of toppings, another had chicken Parmasan that came with ziti, a salad and garlic knot rolls, another had linguini with clam sauce with a dozen fresh clams. Last few visits have been disappointing, but despite the lack of quality non-chain pizza places around here I'm officially done. Their pizza, however, was absolutely NOT done. Extremely undercooked even though I specifically requested well done. I also paid for xtra large. If this is what they consider xtra large, their medium probably barely feeds one person. What a fantastic family restaurant! My family of twelve was looking for a place to eat at on the way home from Disney and found Diromio's Pizza & Grill. We arrived around 8:30 and found the restaurant to be almost empty. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server. The food was fantastic, service was great, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had the baked ziti (which was actually made with penne instead of ziti, but was fantastic regardless), the lasagna, the pizza, the garlic bread, the garlic knots, and salads. Everything was great and no one had any complaints about their food at all. Our server refilled drinks quickly and checked on us frequently. The food is exquisite. It's great and it's a broad menu. The staff is without question kind and wonderful and a chilled wine glasses have made my day. They're happy hour makes wine affordable. I only wish they had a frequent buyer card ha ha I can't urge people enough to come here. It's open till 10 o'clock at night, I think they were doing incredibly well if they selectively chose one or two nights a week to have some music of some sort because with the population that sits around in the cash that they have available, they would flock here. My only fear is if they don't do it they're gonna lose their niche to somebody else will figure it out. I would give zero if I could. We had to ask for a waitress since we were there 10-15 minutes and no one greeted us to get drinks. Then my young children were sharing spaghetti and my daughter was eating and had a piece of wire/metal in her bite . Tried Diromio's Pizza for the first time today. Ordering on-line was super easy and automatically added coupons to our order. Delivery was faster than the estimated time to deliver and the delivery driver was super mice and pleasant. I ordered thin crust and it was perfect. Not a fan! I got the veal Parmesan it was by far the worst sandwich I've had in a while. I am 100% certain it was leftover veal from the day before. It was cut into small pieces and they were all chewy and dry. It's the first time I've ever left veal on the table. Kid split a med pizza that was ok. But even my kids didn't finish. My wife got the calzone. While it was impressive in size it was definitely missing flavor. We also got the calamari it was the chewies calamari I've ever had. So I've lived here for 17 years and tonight I finally tried this little Italian gem. I got the VIP Stuffed Pizza and WOW!! I had a craving for Deep Dish and this was the closest I could get in our area and I was not disappointed. I got the medium size and it's so stuffed I could only eat 2 slices. It's so hearty and filling and all the meats make it so tasty. I love that they give you marinara to go with it. If you like a lot, like I do, order extra marinara.
