I went to the Rossi Rd location on a Saturday with the girlfriend and ordered the shrimp and chips, fish and chips and a California Roll. The fish and shrimp were both nicely breaded and apparently fried in oil separate from the fries (a blend of sweet potato and regular which was also excellent) and served with lemon slices and enough tarter sauce to to the job. The California roll was good and fresh and served with a small heap of pickled ginger, a solid dab of wasabi and a cup each of wasabi and sriracha aioli sauces. The service was fairly quick and the atmosphere friendly and bright and the prices pretty reasonable. (@$65 total for what we ordered) We're going back if we end up near there again and I'd recommend it read more

Their pizza is fine but it really just tastes like Papa John's to me. I don't taste the sour dough at all. Also, they are wicked expensive for what you get and they charge a $1.50 service charge, in addition to asking for tips. They have a big sign on the front of the restaurant advertising 2 jumbo specialty pizzas for $39.99 on Mondays. But when I tried to order it they said they couldn't do that and the best they could do is 2 large pizzas for $39.99. I can't believe they are still in business. I won't be back. read more

Pier 49 is super yummy. The cheesy breadsticks are the way to go beforehand. Sourdough crust, friends. You can't go wrong. They have a large variety on the menu, and a sampler pizza if your group can't decide. The dessert pizzas are super yummy too. If you miss the city life of San Francisco California then here is where you might feel at home. As you wall in they have a mural of the Golden Gate Bridge and classic SF decor throughout the restaurant. Everywhere you turn there is historic SF art pieces or decorations. Almost too much. It is a very large restaurant so big parties are welcome. And parking available are street parking and a spacious parking lot south of the restaurant. We tried the chicken BBQ pizza, it was good but not great for the price. I'd say the quality it higher than dominoes but below artisan places. Our large pizza was $21 with tax, which could feed 3 adults. Also a good note, this place has tons of deals but they're so scattered around the restaurant it's hard to find one that applies to you and your order. read more

Got their pizza through Yelp delivery, so I don't have any knowledge of the ambience. But the food was good! The biggest disappointment was the cheese bread. It's just slices of bread with cheese melted on it, almost like an open faced grilled cheese. I was expecting something something different, so I guess that was a bummer. I got the white pizza, which comes with artichokes and your choice or baked or fresh tomatoes. I opted for fresh assuming they would be slices of tomato, which was not the case. Ordered pizza at 400 and after getting with the chat multiple times and 17 calls to the store 15 of them went to a voicemail that was full total order was 44.00 I finally found out that my order was not sent out but was marked as delivered on the tracking app. The store should be on top of an order sitting there for over 40 min. and should have notified me of the issues. 2 hours after ordering my order did arrive hot, the food was average, nothing to write home about. Something has changed at Pier 49. We have a little family tradition on Halloween: pizza and donuts (at separate ends of the day...). I decided to splurge on Pier 49 this year (we enjoy a variety of pizzas; no such thing as a "best pizza".). In years past the chicken on the pizzas was shredded. It was cubed this time. Shredding chicken generally means more time was taken and it likely came from a breast. Cubing generally means less time was taken and the meat may have been purchased that way. Eating shredded chicken "tastes" different than cubed chicken. Bottom line, cubed chicken is gross and cheap. The flavors of the pizza were great. How can you not enjoy sour dough every once in a while? The cubed meat thing is a deal-breaker. I can't eat here again WHILE paying premium $$$ read more

Quite good, if a bit out of the way. Unlike a lot of cheaper pizza places, the dough/crust is the selling point here - thick and fresh and flavorful. The chunky marinara sauce on top was also worthy of praise, as it tasted homemade. And the best part - there's no need to grab extra napkins with which to dab off the golden pools of grease. It's pizza for those who want to pretend it's better for you than it is. I left feeling pleasantly satisfied instead of the happy but vaguely ill sensation I get when leaving, say, Two Jacks. After a little over an hour and no pizza we called Pier 49 and were informed that yes they can see they received our order, but for some reason no one decided to follow through and make it?!?!? It seems a little unnecessary to update a 5 star review to another 5 star review, but I was impressed with my most recent visit to Pier 49. My wife and I usually get the pizza to go, but she wanted to eat in this time, so I had no choice. The manager impressed me with two things: 1. We forgot to ask for a cup of ranch dressing for the pizza when we ordered. My wife walked up to get a cup (it costs $0.50), and he gave it to her no charge. Not a big deal, but very nice. 2. Someone called in to speak with the manager while we were still there. The restaurant was empty so we could hear the entire conversation. Someone was very upset that they had ordered a small, personal pizza that was delivered incorrectly. The manager apologized profusely offering to get them another personal pizza. Apparently that wouldn't work for the customer who now needed a jumbo-sized pizza (personal pizza $8, jumbo pizza $23). He was very courteous and calm and tried to be accommodating as the customer appeared to be chewing him out and eventually hung up on him. Having had very poor experiences at restaurants, I understand wanting the owner/manager to comp your meal, but I do think there's a limit. I think this manager nailed good customer service while being firm and reasonable. 10/10 I'm a repeat customer--will try again. read more

Quality is low, bland, and simple like the owner or whoever never learned how to make a pizza or learned but stopped short of learning about creating good pleasurable flavors. I ordered pizza delivery tonight through the Slice app. After an hour and 15 minutes and still not receiving my order I called and was told they couldn't fulfill my order. SERIOUSLY WHAT?! We ordered a large build your own veggie on their google order app. Driver was 20 minutes late, but that is understandable in bad weather/holidays. But, the real problem was the google app I think did not work well enough to get the order right. We ordered large build your own with veggie and garlic sauce but got the veggie no garlic.
