Food is good and staff friendly....Issue is their takeout/pick up service. You will always receive a note with your online order stating food will be ready in 45-50 minutes. Unfortunately you may arrive to find it has been sitting and getting cold for at least 20 minutes, or - more likely - will end up standing around for up to another half hour+. More than once I have arrived to find them scrambling to even find my order, which then clearly wasn't even started until I arrived. Really need to get their take out service together. read more

I have not had an experience like this in a restaurant that boasts about great, fresh, and deliciously prepared meals. We had the squash and lobster bisque, and the flavor and consistency were not there. I send back the lobster bisque. Our entries were lobster risotto we didn't touch for the most part the dishes. The lobster ravioli was not touched for the most part. The eggplant envoltinis were just okay, according to a member of our party. We went there for my sister-in-law's birthday. She loves Italian food. From the reservation to sitting at the table, everything went like clockwork. The ambiance is downright home style, the comforting atmosphere of a family restaurant. It was a bit loud, but that which is expected of an Italian restaurant. The pasta, of all shapes and types, is made freshly. And if you haven't tasted fresh pasta, you owe it to yourself to try some. Delicious! We ordered dishes from their regular menu as well as their special of the day. There was zero complaint on the food quality and taste from a party of eight, except the portion was more than one could eat. Halleujah for left-overs. The service was warm and friendly, but not overwhelming. The waiter was attentive to our needs and magically appeared as we needed something. I asked for a suggestion to pair a red wine with their Cioppino, and I was pleasantly surprised by their pick. Spot on! And to top it all, the price was reasonable. Probably more like 3.5 stars. Here's why: ALL the waitstaff were wearing masks .. except the very loud bartender-- who seemed to think everyone wanted his view on the golf tournament on TV. Food was ok, the service the worst I have had in a while anywhere. Food came out staggered, the waitress getting our wine bottle open had such a hard time it took her about ten minutes to break the cork in the bottle of terrible overpriced Chianti and still serve it. At that point it should have been a new bottle opened by the bartender. Then one of the seafood pastas, cinque Terre, came out after everyone else was done with their food and it had two lemons in it. Why do we need more acid with a tomato based sauce? it was ok. The shellfish was good, the pasta was not al dente and the overall ambience of the place is not quite what you expect from The photos online. It is not a table cloth restaurant. You can tell this restaurant is part of the community. It's nice but also cozy. I ordered the pollo avocado and a side of grilled veggies. The grilled veggies were absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the chicken as well. The sauce is creamy and you can tell the pasta is made in house. Everything at Piero's is done with care and professionalism. You will love this Italian food! I only post 5 star reviews and only when they are truly worthy of 5 stars. Today was my first time going to Pieros and we will definitely be going back many times. They have one of those menus where you know you want to get so many different things (which we did). They have a lot of creative dishes. How many Italian restaurants have a dish with avocado in it? They really go for it and not wrwklessly. It works! We got the sumptuous meatball, it was gigantic, soft, great sauce, and well oiled bread that was perfectly crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside. Got the gnocchi bolognase, which imo is perfectly complimented if you apply a generous portion of the fresh Parmasean they give you. The veal was great, and we had another dish with peas in it and it was my favorite (not carbanara, but I can't remember the name). Got the tiramisu which huge and very fluffy, very good. Service was amazing, he was so on top of everything and was very sweet to our 2 yr old who was with us. The place was very clean and had an Italian and NoVa feel at the same time. Piero's is one of those friendly neighborhood restaurants that always has what you need. I normally order the rigatoni sylvania which is an excellent bolognese like dish with peas. Cam here for the first time tonight (on a Saturday fight I KNOW). As a solo diner I always like sitting at the bar and just watching everything. The food is incredible - had a side salad and lasagna and their wine list is reasonable. Ended with lemon cake and cappuccino The front part of the bar is definitely busier than the back (mainly because that's also where people go to pick up food and the poor server has to deal with that and the phone (plus anyone like me at the bar). I'd recommend sitting in the back bar if you come here. Their small bread basket tastes amazing (but it is small). I can't believe I've lived 5 minutes from this place for years and never stopped in! I ordered the Pollo Parmigiana lunch with a side house salad for lunch and it did not disappoint. Portions were generous and the even though I never usually like blue cheese, the blue cheese on the house salad was probably the best I ever had. Being half Italian I'm quite the Italian restaurant snob so I sorta wrote this place off as the typical strip mall Italian joint . One night during Covid and have run out of places to try locally I decided to place an order for delivery and was floored by the food I received . They had a lamb dish special which was delicious. Then on a separate occasion just this past weekend my boyfriend treated me to a wonderful birthday dinner . My plate of choice was the Carbonara which was perfectly cooked and super tasty ! The restaurant itself has a really cozy bar area and now that I am better informed I will be checking this place out more often ! Definitely a neighborhood gem ! read more

We've eaten here a few times. I love that it's family owned and have tried during covid to frequent small businesses, in particular restaurants since they were greatly impacted during lockdown. When we've dined here, one of us always gets the carbonara. We have them omit the caramelized onions so I can't speak to the dish with them included but it's yummmmmy every single time! Their pizzas are great and portion sizes are generous. Our Woman's Club has a regular group of "ladies who lunch." This month we came to Piero's Corner and had a wonderful experience. There were 20 of us, which can strain any restaurant, but Piero's handled everything in style. The food was wonderful, the service was friendly and efficient (special kudos to Jarrett, who was our primary waiter). Our group has been to Piero's Corner before; we usually have between 12 and 16 for each outing, so the fact that so many showed up for this one indicates the general sentiment about this restaurant--we love it. New people always ask what's good here and the answer is always "Everything." One of our members has celiac disease, so the fact that they have gluten-free menu items is a definite plus. Really good spot. Found this restaurant driving around. Dropped in for a late lunch. Started with a glass of red wine and a small caesar salad. Dressing was on point! Croutons were nice and crunchy. Lunch was chicken marsala. One cutlet of chicken, mushrooms, and marsala wine reduction was yummy with a side of pasta. I struggled with having another glass of wine or dessert.
