I started using Pierre's Pet Grooming last fall when my regular groomer retired. I have senior dogs and needed a groomer to understand the special needs that my fur babies needed. They were and are phenomenal! We lost one of our fur babies, and one has developed additional medical issues. They listened to what I had to say and worked with me on how I wanted them cared for. My little boy has heart issues as well as fluid on his lungs. When I called I asked them if they had an opening for the express service. They did, and I was glad to pay the extra $10. He was done within the hour. They also did my other ones nails, ears, and teeth while I waited. I didn't have to leave her. We have been taking our Shih Tzu to this groomer for years and we have never had any issues. However, the last time we got him groomed (in January) he got contact dermatitis immediately after his haircut... He broke out in itchy patches all over the back of his head and neck and we were lucky enough to catch it before it spread farther. It cost us $60 for the haircut plus the $130 for the vet visit and medication. We have an appointment booked with them tomorrow, so hopefully things go well, but I was definitely a bit disappointed with the previous incident. Update: After this most recent appointment (5/21/22) we will not be returning. He contracted fleas from this visit. Absolutely unacceptable. Update 2: (6/4/22) We had to take him somewhere else because his grooming job was lazy and unfinished. His front paws and dew claws weren't clipped and his ears were dirty. He actually has an ear infection. This is ridiculous! Sad that he came here for almost his whole life and now he has contracted 2 separate infections from this place. read more

The owner and receptionist are rude and were unwilling accommodate for over charging me for my new puppy in which they had charged less for before. I brought my 1 1/2 year old Siberian Husky that we rescued to get a nice bath and a good brushing, as we are trying to de-fur him. I was pleasantly surprised with how well he was treated and the professionalism of all the staff. If you know huskies then you're aware they can be quite the handful. However, they were able to keep him calm during this entire process. They washed him dried him off and got all of his old coat out. As a bonus they even cut his toenails and ground them so as to not be sharp. I was even offered other services that would be included in the price. Took my husky there to get a wash and blow dry only . When we got him back his bottom was shaved!! Never ever shave a husky unless it's medically needed . When I called and asked why my dog was shaved the girl on the phone had the nerve to call me rude and that all dogs get a shave around their private parts . We have been taking our yorkie here for 3 years, but the service has definitely changed. Three grooms ago, she came home with fleas. We decided to still give them a chance, as things happen. Then, the next time they failed to mention that they had changed locations when I made the appointment, then accidentally switched her with another yorkie and gave her the wrong cut. Again, things happen. Now, I make an appointment for 10am, bring her in and mention that I need to pick her up in a couple hours. I come in at 1pm and they have literally just started on her. It typically takes no more than and hour and a half from drop off to pick up. We've been more than understanding, but I think it's time for a new groomer! I called Pierre's on a whim hoping to get my two miniature schnauzers groomed while I'm out of town and can't see my usual. They were able to see my dogs immediately! The dogs were done within 3-4 hours. They came back looking spiffy but it was obvious they didn't really take their time. My dogs private areas were shaved down nor was their belly-the norm with a full groom. One thing that really bothered me was that the employee helping us let my dogs loose in the lobby/waiting area. Anybody could've come in and they could've ran out the door. I can't tell whether this was unprofessional or a lack of common sense. They saw me struggle and failed to offer help. Horrible communication, terrible customer service, completely incapable of acknowledging when they make a mistake. We took our dogs here for longer than we should have, because it was convenient to where we live. When our oldest dog died, I asked for him to be taken off of our account. For one year, every time I called to make an appointment for my other dogs, they asked me if I was bringing him in. Every single time I told them he had died and to remove him from my account/my phone number, because it was heartbreaking for them to ask me about him. They NEVER did. With our newest puppy, they completely shaved him when I asked that they take an inch off of his fluffy fur (shorkie). I was completely shocked when they brought him out, after I had paid and tipped well, and they (and I mean every single person who worked there) literally stood there and argued with me, showed me their razors, told me they did not shave him (pointed to another dog that was "shaved") and would not acknowledge they left an inch of fur on him, when we stated clearly that we only wanted an inch taken off. They are argumentative, smug, petty, and rude. They do sub-par work and charge a lot. Take your beloved pets anywhere else. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. DO NOT take your dog here if you have any kind of specific requests because the employees won't follow them. I left the store employees with extremely specific directions on what not to do to my Pomeranian that has super long hair, and they completely ignored my requests. I told them they could shave a big knot he had directly behind his ear but not to cut anything else and they completely chopped on his entire face. They cut long hair on the front of his ears and around the sides of his face that had nothing to do with the knots and that will take months to grow out. I also specifically said DO NOT CUT ANY HAIR ON HIS FEET, and got him home to find that the long hair he had covering his toes was gone on every single foot. Not sure who there can't follow directions, but I will never use them again. The part that kills me is that I'm a new customer that spoke with them about getting on a regular grooming schedule; I guess they just don't need the business if they're going to completely disregard what their customer wants. Brought my cat in for the first time. They only groom cats on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Since I always opt for a full shave (meaning no fancy styles like the "lion"), the fact that the cat groomer could only do that specific cut (I heard her tell another customer who wanted a different style) still worked out for me. But I don't think she did that great of a job on my cat. His back looked smooth and nice but the fur on his chest and belly looked raggedy for lack of a better term. I understand it's hard to do a smooth shave in those areas but my last groomer (in Illinois) managed to do it so I guess I was just expecting the same results. But then again, this place caters mostly to dogs so it's understandable. I'll just look for groomers who specialize on cats. read more

I've had my poodle/bichon groomed here probably 6 times. I usually drop off my dog right when they open and then they call me when she's done. I've had other groomers nick her or irritate her skin. We've taken our dogs to this grooming for some time now and never had a problem. However, this time really can't be passed. Both of my dogs came back with cuts and my older one was feeling bad and couldn't walk the next day. The cuts are not small in any way. The cuts of my male were near his penis. The female's mammary glands were harmed. They seemed like they cut them off. They had other several cuts around. They had a lot of fur. I'm sure it was difficult to work with them. I also know they were probably not easy to work with in terms of behavior. However, they didn't even bother to let me know that they had cuts. If my dogs were not being cooperative and they cut them for that I understand. Since they didn't say anything that just makes me assume they don't know what they are doing. Do they not see the cuts while grooming or after? I don't understand how the staff dare to say "I didn't see it". They are unprofessional and no care for the animals they wounded. No responsibility to acknowledge their mistakes. Also no regard for the customers and more importantly the poor pets. We called and they wanted pictures, totally understandable. But They didn't offer a refund, no way of showing they truly are sorry. They simply said they will make a discount next time. From the other reviews I've seen, they don't do refunds so they only care for the money. They should be able to do them since their "hard work" is not even of quality when harming pets. I sound harsh but I don't find an excuse for what they've done and I don't wish anyone's pet to go through this. Is very infuriating. These are not all the cuts but the major ones. read more

I'm a little overprotective with my four-legged kids (to put it mildly), and it takes a lot for me to be able to drop them off and feel completely at ease. DO NOT TAKE YOUR GOLDENDOODLE HERE. This was my first and last time ever using this groomer. After my dog's normal groomer in Austin was booked for the weekend Pierre's was able to get my dog in last minute. The staff was very nice and helpful but the horrible job they did on my dog completed ruined it. When I brought in him in I specifically said I did NOT want him short. After talking with someone about my concerns we decided to only cut HALF and a little bit around his face. The only section we ever mentioned being short was his stomach because he is getting fixed in a week. However when I came to pick him up ALL of his hair was shaved off to the very root. I deeply comb him every day and regularly take him the groomer for trims and baths so I know that matting was not an excuse for this. In fact there were more knots in his fur that I spent all day getting out than there were when I dropped him off. I especially ensured that all of his matting was gone the night before I took him him so this did not happen. I barely recognized my dog when I picked him up. All of his fluffy hair was completely gone except for on his tail that they oddly left long compared to the lack of length on the rest of his body and hadn't been touched. I'm not sure what has happened here in recent months but this place has gone downhill quickly. Granted, they do a decent job with the grooming but the personnel leave much to be desired. When I went to pick up my dog yesterday the young woman, who, I was told, was only filling in, was on the phone. Now, that cannot be helped but it sure would have been nice if someone had acknowledged me. What I witnessed made me super uncomfortable and was so unprofessional. The two older ladies were bickering back and forth about a dog one was grooming, actually complaining that "it isn't my dog to groom". Wow. Take your arguments behind closed doors ladies. read more
