So pleased with Pierson Orthodontics! I came to Pierson about a year ago to get a second opinion, as the orthodontist that visits my kids' dentist a few times a month had wanted to pull five teeth from my then 7-year-old's mouth and start the first phase of orthodontics right away. My momma gut just didn't feel right about it. Another mom at karate recommended Pierson Orthodontics. Dr. Pierson recommended three teeth be removed and that we just monitor my son's teeth every six months for the time being. We've done exactly that and, while my son will likely need phase 1 of treatment at some point in the next year, I'm so glad we didn't rush into it earlier, as he has sensory needs that make any dental work less than pleasant. It's wonderful to know I've found an orthodontist who is conservative with treatment and who really seems to have the patient's best interest at heart. Talking to him, you can just tell he's one of the good guys who really cares about his work and his patients. AND, they make it so fun... the kids get points at each visit that they can redeem for various gift cards, which makes my son look forward to his visits (that'll come in very handy once we start treatment). WOW! What an experience for our first initial visit! We were referred to Pierson Orthodontics, so had not done any research regarding the practice. The waiting room is inviting, comfortable and pleasant. The staff greet you immediately with genuine enthusiasm and smiles! We were offered water or juice at least 3 times - which was so nice! The Treatment Coordinator came out, spoke directly to my daughter first and made small talk to make her comfortable. She explained everything that was going to happen in a clear concise way. After the first 30 min process of x-rays, images taken and a video about different services we got to meet Dr. Pierson. I cannot get over how throughout the explanation of her current situation and his proposed treatment plan was...he took such time and effort to answer questions, give examples, draw on her images to show exactly what he wanted to do. I could definitely see that Dr. Pierson takes the time to make each and every patient and their parents feel comfortable and educated on the entire process. We have not started any treatment at this time, so I cannot review any further than our initial visit, but I am completely confidant that it would be a wonderful experience! read more

First thoughts was is this for real, can a whole staff and doctor be this nice? By far was treated with the best customer service possible to my knowledge. (Quick story of one of my experiences) One day I had called to get some information and knowing that it was 1 minute till closing for their office. I had gotten a hold of someone there and was transferred to Monique, that day they had a glitch in their phone lines and my call was lost I figured that I'd call the next day being after hours. About 20 minutes later I get a call, to my surprise it is Monique reaching out to me very apologetic for the inconvenience. I was just ecstatic that she took the time to call me back being so late just to answer a few questions I had prior to my visit. It's service like this that keeps me as a loyal customer and a voice for their business. Now as far as the visit, well that was very pleasant. I got to meet a lot of the staff and my daughter was very happy with her treatment which is the important part for me. I could keep on going but space is limited. For you who know me yes I am an employee here but my daughter and I are both patients as well. Throughout my time with Dr. Pierson i have come to truly see what type of person he really is. You can go to other offices and only see the doctor's bedside manner not knowing who they really are. I can tell you that Dr. Pierson is an amazing person with the biggest heart for his patients. Not to mention that he is also an AMAZING orthodontist. We live near Castroville and it would have been so much more convenient to take my daughter to a doctor near our home but I wouldn't trust another doctor with my children. He is dedicated to his patients happiness and he doesn't stop learning and continuing his education. He does a lot for the community and one day he would love to start our own non profit organization to give back and do mission trips. You couldn't find a more caring and intelligent orthodontist in town. read more

My son is a new patient here. We visited several offices before deciding on Dr. Pierson. I was impressed by the genuine kindness of the office staff. The financial counselor answered my many questions and gave me a clear explanation of the treatment estimate under my current insurance as well as under a theoretical insurance change, all before we were patients. There were multiple payment options available. Our appointments have started promptly. I was very impressed with how great your entire staff was with my girls. Dr. Pierson spoke directly to them and made them feel very comfortable. Dr. Pierson and Pamela answered all of our questions. I was also impressed that Dr. Pierson wanted to try the popsicle stick route with my youngest daughter. He could have easily told me she needed some brackets too but he instead opted to watch her and try this inexpensive route first. I really appreciated that. We received a very thorough evaluation of my son's teeth, a straight forward treatment plan and excellent pricing when we paid upfront. Dr. Pierson said that if my son was faithful to his treatment plan (elastic bands and all) he would finish sooner. Now, just a little over a year later he is almost ready to take them off. The facility is comfortable and a quick in-and-out. The staff is all smiles every time I walk in and happy to help me with information that I don't already know about, my new braces, what to do when I walk in, as well as the new facility. Refreshments are available at the front and a brushing station is located behind the front office making good hygiene easy.
