I can't say enough good things about this Dentists Office. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have two different play areas in the waiting room for the kiddos, plus a nice coffee station for the adults. We didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes before they called us back! We got a nice tour of the office and found everything to be open, welcoming and clean. They have state or the art equipment and a nice viewing area for the parents. Dr. Cele is absolutely amazing at what she does and has a natural talent with the kids. I highly recommend this office and am so glad we get to take our daughter there now!

    My children love it here!!

I love this place. The employees are all sooooo friendly. My children enjoy coming to the dentist. They always ask can we come back. The last dentist they never wanted to return.

    Love the soothing colored archway.

Do not bother with this office if you have a baby or young child…read more I had scheduled an exam for my (barely) 1 year old child to get established with a dentist. Keeping in mind he only has about 5 teeth total. The office called to confirm our appointment, and I asked what would happen at the appointment. I was told they would do a fluoride cleaning and exam. I told them my child is too young for a fluoride cleaning, and we like to pass on any fluoride use at this time. They told me if we decline the use of fluoride, then they will not even do an EXAM and cannot see my child as a patient. The appointment was canceled so I called "Little Dental Pediatric Dentistry" and made an appointment with them. They agreed to simply note in his chart "No fluoride" and confirmed that it's perfectly acceptable to delay the use of fluoride for babies. Highly recommend going to "Little Dental Pediatric Dentistry" on San Pedro Ave instead. I DO NOT RECOMMEND "World Pediatric Dental".

While Dr. Will was excellent and clearly knowledgeable, my experience with the office staff was unacceptable and dishonest. Before our visit, I explicitly told the staff that my child had both private insurance and Medicaid. They confirmed they accepted both. After the appointment, I was blindsided when they demanded a copay -- something I have never been required to pay with Medicaid. Despite my confusion, they insisted a copay was mandatory and pressured me into paying. It got worse. I was then told that the procedure to release the ties would cost $900 out of pocket because, according to them, Medicaid wouldn't cover it until my child turned one year old. I was stunned, especially since I had asked this exact question beforehand and was told they'd have to run my insurance to know. Faced with that steep price, I declined the procedure. I later learned the truth: Medicaid does cover this procedure for infants. The information I was given by the office staff was flat-out false. Because of their misinformation, my baby endured an extra month of painful, difficult feedings until I found a provider elsewhere who correctly handled the procedure under Medicaid coverage. I feel scammed, lied to, and completely taken advantage of. The front office's dishonesty directly impacted my child's health and caused us unnecessary suffering and delay. While the doctor himself was wonderful, I cannot in good conscience recommend this office due to the unethical and misleading conduct of their staff. I strongly urge other parents to be extremely cautious when dealing with the billing and insurance staff here, and to double-check everything they are told -- your child's care depends on it.

I was called and told by the receptionist that my kids were due for their checkup. I should have checked my calendar cause it didn't seem like it had been 6 months already, so I asked if it had, and she said yes, they were on the list. I asked her to see if there was availability for both of my kids at the same time. She gave me a date of 2 days later, first thing in the morning. We arrived with 4 other families, all there for the same time slot when there's only 2 doctors. I waited 20 minutes and noticed the 2 front office people looking at some information and going back and forth, then they called me up. I was told they made a mistake and it was too early for my kids' checkups. They weren't due for another month. We have to drive about 25 minutes to get to Kids World Pediatric Dentistry. It was a weekday morning; I'm missing meetings, my kids were missing testing, all to take a long drive and be told they weren't going to be seen because they didn't do their do diligence and check insurance information prior to appointments. She gave me a very ungenuine apology. Needless to say, I was very frustrated. I calmly but sternly let her know we wouldn't be retuning. Dr. Torres and the office manager should review their front of the office processes and training. Also, take into consideration other people's schedules. Maybe not set up 5 appointments all at the same time slot, just to keep 3 of those waiting unnecessarily.

Sat in waiting room for about 35 minutes. Needless to say we took first appointment so my kid can catch up to school. When they finally called us in first thing they did was polish my Kid's teeth, without cleaning it first or seen by the Doctor. After the Doc saw her she said no need for cleaning. That's a surprise because i know I saw some tartar build up. This is the first on all dental appointments that she ever had no need for cleaning, it's been 6 months. I asked her she said she doesn't have anything to clean. I know I'm not a Dentist but I'm a Mom and I know my kid's tooth brushing habits. I also didn't appreciate the Doc's demeanour when I expressed concerns of no teeth cleaning. Made appointments after the appointment to give them another chance, by the way this is our first appointment. Check this out! They asked for $100 deposit for the next appointment, before services were rendered. That sealed the coffin for me. This is the worst dental appointment for us. Cancelled appointments and ask for a refund. Oh by the way office manager called me about the refund . She didn't solicit why we cancelled appointment. More concern with the money than the services. I also emphasized to her that they better not charge my insurance cleaning fee. Polishing is not cleaning! It's really too bad because I was looking forward to doing business with this Dental office because their location is convenient for us. Business practices are bad. We won't be coming back and I don't recommend this Dental Office.

I was shocked because I never was told anything about having gum disease before from other dentists--it didn't make sense how I went from normal gums to 'gum disease' all of a sudden. After that appointment-- in a panic--I contacted a very close friend whose husband was a dentist and she was a dental hygienist. I sent her X-rays and she was confident--not only from the X-rays, but also from knowing me well--that I did not have gum disease. I then went to my husband's dentist for a consult and his dentist also said I do not have gum disease. I asked him about the cavity and he said it was not a cavity, just staining in a groove on my molar. (I guess it's safe to assume 'my first-ever cavity' was not a cavity either.) It was really shocking this happened by a licensed dentist. Yes, the FLOSS team runs a beautiful, state of the art office that is immaculately clean and comfortable. But what really keeps me coming back are the careful, attentive exams and gentle, through treatment I receive here. Every hygienist I have seen has gotten my teeth perfectly smooth and sparkly, and given me pointers on continually improving my at-home routine (without being judge-y or peachy). I particularly appreciate Dr. Forney's conservative, preventative approach to dental care--she is the most through, engaged dentist I have ever visited when conducting the check-up exam. She not only spends time carefully examining every nook and cranny of your mouth and (gently) checking for sensitivity, she also asks thoughtful questions and really listens to my answers. She seems to always be working proactively to spot potential issues and prevent them, before they become a big problem requiring painful or expensive treatment. For example, I was experiencing some painless popping in my jaw when opening my mouth wide (like when chewing with my mouth very full). I almost didn't mention it because it wasn't causing me any discomfort, but when I said something in passing to Dr. Forney, she immediately recognized that I had worn away a lot of the cartilage in my jaw from grinding my teeth at night. She told me to start wearing my old night guard, which I had gotten lazy about, and this would allow the cartilage to regenerate. Sure enough--six months with the night guard--no more poppin! During another visit, Dr. Forney noticed what looked like a coffee stain on a previous sealant from another dentist, but asked if she could take a closer look by doing a little bit of drilling. I was skeptical, but I trust her, so I said "break out the drill!" Well, turns out that there was decay forming under the sealant from the previous dentist. Dr. Forney was able to do a small filling and nip this in the bud, just by spending a little extra time on the exam (and not assuming it was just a coffee stain). The idea that this could have become a big filling or worse keeps me coming back to Dr. Forney--and trusting her implicitly--every time. In short, Dr. Forney is a highly skilled, meticulous and incredibly through dentist, and the entire experience at Floss Stone Oak stands alone among general dentistry in San Antonio (I've moved to Austin and I still drive down just to come here!). They take insurance, but as someone who has at times had a HDHP and paid out of pocket, I can say it's also very reasonably priced, especially given the high standard of care. If you're still reading this, make an appointment already! Floss Stone Oak and Dr. Forney are the best!
