I had Sierra Nevada pale ale and my wife had a Ciderboys bottle. We ordered 2 large pizzas and they were on point. My wife ordered half shrimp and sriracha. I ordered half pine and swine. Very good choices. My nephew ordered half chicken gouda and his lovely fiance ordered pesto. All four of our choices were served to us in a timely manner with great taste and the crust was amazing. I will have to say that the experience at pies and pints varies. I've gone at times and had a great experience and not much so others. I have gone there, and they put the sauce on top of the pizza, and other times it was underneath. I've had the wings where they were cooked right and when they were still raw in the middle. When the moon has aligned just right with the other planets in the solar system, this place is pretty freaking awesome. I love how they cook the wings with that crisp crunch you get when you bite into them. The savory flavor is on point, and they are still quite juicy when you order them to be cooked well done. The pizzas are pretty good when they have prepared the dough the way it's supposed to be prepped. You can tell when it's been sitting around longer than it's supposed at times when you get that pizza with the crust that hasn't quite risen. The sauce and the cheese combination is fantastic when paired with their savory, chewy crust. Service has been pretty good here for the most part. This was my second time at this location. The food tastes good but it is sooooo sllllooooowww. This time our server was training someone so I should give her some leeway but it was still pretty slow. We sat down and started by looking over the beer list so we ordered a round of waters. About 5 minutes later the trainee dropped off the waters and we didn't see anyone for another 5-10 minutes. When the server made it back around we saw that as our window so we ordered everything at once. The three of us each ordered a beer then we got the chicken wing app, a small spinach salad, a Cuban pizza and a Hot Mamma pizza. The beers came out right around the same time as the wings. I'm not sure if that means the beers were slow or the wings were fast. The wings only come in one flavor and it's more of a rub. They were really good. There's a sauce on the side might of been ranch but I didn't try it. The salads come in two sizes and we ordered the small but it was still big enough for the three of us to split. We went with the balsamic dressing instead of the other option and it was really good. The pizzas were really good too. I thought the Cuban was spicier than the hot mama. My wife, daughter and I used to go here a ton (we haven't in a while for no particular reason we are excited to go back) and the service is A+. We often have Donna taking care of us (not sure if she is there anymore) and she immediately remembered our daughters name and was so engaged. She works her ass off and is just the sweetest lady. We had the pizza slice of the day (available at lunch time) which was a fig and bacon type--VERY GOOD. And we also tried the grape and rosemary one. The server shared that is their most popular. I liked it, but you better LOVE the strong Gorgonzola flavor...and I mean STRONG. I definitely preferred the fig and bacon slice over our full pie of grape, Rosemary, and Gorgonzola. We also shared a salad that had amazing dressing--homemade I would presume. Great service and patio! And this is how cheese on a pizza is supposed to taste. We often forget that in our run-around busy lives full of merely good pizzas from quick joints all over town. But when you go to a gourmet specialist like this Easton stop, and you have that first bite you remember what you miss. My dinner mate and I clashed on our choice of pie. So we compromised and went with a 16", half Hawaiian and half garlic mushroom--garlic being my favorite spice in the world. (You could cajole me to kill a wife-beating husband for a good garlic mushroom flatbread.) The garlic mushroom had pizazz, yet delicately balanced perfectly it was soft jazz in my mouth. It's a swoon inducing serenade of ingredients. Other than the aforementioned feta, the portabellas are roasted so rich; they have a couple different textures which adds a variety to the mushroom music. It has caramelized onions that hits the top of your mouth making harmony with the mushroom/feta melody. Olive oil and a host of herbs back up the trio with the freshest chords. The crust is done well too. I am not a fan of pineapple, but that half looked as well done as mine. I brought home leftovers; so pineapple or not I will eat it for breakfast. That's how good the cheese is. As other have said the place offers lots of beer. The menu for it is a binder bigger and better done than many business plans handed to bankers. They have something of any craft you desire. Our server, Jazmen, deserves a hardy shout out. Great service, so friendly and bubbly; she knew her stuff. My friend is still in the brew dark ages, a pagan at the altar of Bud Light. Jazmen attempted to proselytize the gospel of the IPA. She handed out serval samples to us both. I settled on a nice one. As for my friend, failure, didn't like. I guess, like the saying goes, you can bring a friend to top brew but you can't make them drink. Great place! Our first visit to Pies and Pints. We were ignored when I asked if we could have a booth instead of sitting at a table under the big white elephant. I had my six year old with me, so it appears to me we were placed in the kiddie section as the other patrons in this area also had infants or young children. No prices on the menu! Garlic bread was tasty, marinara was meh. My youngest and oldest ordered a pepperoni pizza they both ate their entire pizza so I guess they enjoyed it. I had the steak sub, meat was delicious, tender and juicy. My daughter ordered the Cuban sandwich. They were out of pork, so she opted for chicken. I ended up trading her sandwiches as the Cuban was extremely spicy due to the sliced jalapeño peppers. Chicken didn't cut it. Their Cuban is not a traditional Cuban, I don't recommend it, might be better with a beer. Draft root beer was good, we ordered a pitcher, cost $12. They don't serve it with ice, be prepared to go through it quickly with no ice. Over all not bad. Wait to get entrees not horribly long, but it could be a substantial wait if there were more customers. Restroom cleanliness and deodorizing needs improvement. read more

Tried to order a pickup order on the phone in a Sunday evening and first got put on hold for six minutes. Gave up finally and called back in and was immediately put on hold again for 5 minutes and then gave up. I then went in and the place is 3/4 empty so not sure why no one could take my call. Then I was told by the host to go to the bar to pace my order. Then the bartender gets to me and I tell her I want to pace a pick up order and the en she has to go get a server to take my order! Why all the extra steps. Then I have to wait 40 minutes for my pizza and salad. End result is I won't be placing a pick up order here again. It's obvious this location doesn't have the leadership or infrastructure to handle a simple phone order. Morning like having to spend over an hour to just get a pizza and salad. read more

It's taken way too long for me to try this place. There's been so many pizza places popping up in Columbus that I just pushed this one to the way side, saying I'll get there when I get there. I knew there was one opening in Short North soon, so I figured I'd just wait for that. Luckily, my buddies suggested checking it out after our hockey game on Sunday, and I'm very glad we did. Without realizing it, we had them seat 6 of us 20 minutes before close and felt really bad, but they were more than welcoming when we suggested going somewhere else. Everyone that helped us out was very friendly. The place itself is clean and new, and the taps at the back of the bar all lined up in a row looked very sleek. I was pretty excited when I saw they had sour ales on tap and ended up getting a Flemish red ale (I think it was Duchesse de Bourgogne). It was so good. On top of that, I ordered the Hot Mamma pie, which had large pepperonis and their special hot peppers on it. This actually turned out to be one of the best pizzas I've had in Columbus. The flavor was awesome, and the crust was cooked perfectly with a perfect ratio of light and chewy. I had a 10" pie to myself struggled to finish it (and this was after playing an hour of hockey). Everyone in my group seemed to really enjoy their pizzas as well. If I'm at Easton, I'm definitely coming back and bringing friends, because this is a stellar pizza joint. The appetizers, salads, and pizzas are meant to share - we love to do the wings, salad, and a pizza or two for the table. Service is always good but be aware that the pizzas are made to order, resulting in a longer waiting time than a traditional restaurant. A huge draw for this restaurant is the incredible draft and bottle list, as well as root beer on draft. This restaurant is nice enough to impress your out-of-town guests while enjoying a fantastic meal. They do get busy and it can be a long wait for large parties. We prefer to go early to avoid a wait. read more

The flatbread is served with warm goat cheese and a balsamic drizzle. The portion size is great, and they do not skimp on the goat cheese. I've tried the Pine & Swine and the Cuban Pork pizza. Neither tasted that good to me. The Cuban pork was a bit too spicy because it was loaded with jalapeños. Both pizzas lacked toppings and flavor. Maybe I just haven't found the pizza for me yet? They do have a good beer selection. The atmosphere: My bf and I have sat in the same area each time we have come here. There is a seating area by the bar. Seats on one side of the tables in that area are very close to the bar. My bf's chair kept getting bumped by servers and patrons trying to walk through to order a beer or deliver food. It was really annoying and took away from our experience. There was constantly someone standing right behind him for the entire meal. I'd be willing to wait longer for a table in another area. With the extremely long waits at dinner time and a mediocre experience with food and atmosphere, I'm not sure that I will be back to this location. This was an overall pleasant experience. This is a popular place, so you may have a wait... that's the only downside that we experienced with the visit. I was with a big group so we were able to try quite a few things. I personally tried the pizza skins, Thai pizza, and mozzarella caprese. The flavor profiles danced on my tongue. The pizza skin is moderately self explanatory - the potato portion of the skin was mashed, but the rest was standard - bacon, sour cream, scallions. My order was made vegetarian for our table (bacon on the side), which made it a little bland in my opinion -- this is obviously not a fault of the restaurant. Although a little bland, I still really enjoyed it. My FAVORITE: the thai pizza. The flavor palate was SO complementary. The best part, it was just as good the next day as a lazy day brunch. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was flavorful while not being over powering. I really enjoyed the caprese as well. I love caprese salads, so I was extremely excited to try this one. It delivered exactly what I wanted: a solid flavorful pizza -- shockingly not my favorite of everything I was able to try, but definitely good. I would enjoy ordering this again. We originally wanted to check out Melt-but with a 45 minute wait, we opted for this place. The server wasn't able to make suggestions for a beer on tap. The Cuban pulled pork was amazing, I'm allergic to jalapeños (forgot to order without them) but i pulled them off the sandwich and it was so good, I didn't want to trade with my husband (my mouth was getting numb and tingly). Worth it. My husband and daughter seemed satisfied with their pie and sandwich. Nicely decorated and a lot of suggestions for beer, just wish our waitress would have paid more attention to her tables and had more knowledge on the beers and menu items available. I enjoy Pies & Pints, but on my last visit I was a tab confused. I ordered a pizza and like most Midwesterners I asked for ranch. The server that I had said they didn't have ranch in the establishment, but said the pizza came with it's own kind of special sauce. I was a tad confused, but for a moment I went with it even though I found it hard to believe that they wouldn't have ranch. I then saw someone with a salad, that seemed to have ranch. Now, if the server just wanted me to try something different I can understand that, but as a patron, if I want ranch, just give me some ranch! I still haven't figured out if they have ranch or not. If someone finds out let me know lol. But seriously if they have ranch someone please tell the server it's about what the customer wants and nothing else. Pies & Pints Easton has been open for roughly 3 days and the place was packed at 5pm. This shouldn't be a surprise to most people who've been to one of the other locations. As with any new restaurant, you can get some snags as new staff are figuring out the menu/location/service/etc... We either got really lucky or the staff had their A game tonight because we didn't have issues. Our server (David) was on the ball, the food came out perfect and on time and the other staff who stopped by were helpful and friendly. In short, it was a good experience. Tonight, we started with a half order of the Pork and pepper nachos... and they were awesome. I had eaten them before but the boy had not and he scarfed most of them. Which made us most too full to enjoy our pizzas, he order the chipotle chicken and I had the classic. I can recommend them both. I am stickler for good pizza sauce (seriously, it can kill an otherwise good pie) and this sauce was pretty good. A nice combo of sweet and spicy but never overwhelming the tomatoes.
