Loved the eclectic atmosphere and decor. Kind of a trip back in time of an older pizza parlor. Waiter was helpful with sizing and how much pizza three dudes should get. We did 2 pies and were satisfied. A third could've been done but nice to not go overboard. Pizza was hot and delicious to each and every bite. Love the serving tray with a grate to catch drippings (not that there were many). Can't wait for a trip back!

We went with a Napoleon style versus square since we prefer a thinner crust. Pizza was fantastic and they did cookies and homemade cream well. Hits the spot for pizza cravings. Vibe wasn't so much our favorite. Was more open and less private. More of going for pizza with friends and less date night vibes. I did enjoy my Smash Bros drink though too. Not overly sweet.

Paulie Gee's is serving up some delicious gourmet pizza right in the Short North! They have awesome week day and weekend specials & the service rocks! The vibe is awesome for a sit down pizza meal with friends, & the pizza is great for takeout as well! All of the ingredients are quality and you can tell these pizzas are handcrafted to perfection! They also offer multiple dairy free cheese options (the good kinds!) & plenty of pizza choices for everyone! The Swellboy & Hellified are some of my favorites; go check them out!

Paulie Gee's will always be a 5 for me! Love that they always have fun new cocktails and the pies never disappoint. The Donna square is a staple for my family. Tried the hellafied pork pie white for the first time and the flavor combo was great. Service gets a little choppy when they're busy but they always make up for it. Always a great vibe.

I was recommended this place by a coworker as someone who has never been to Columbus. This is the best pizza I have ever had. As someone who lives ~1 hour away, I often ponder making the commute solely for this amazing pizza!! The atmosphere was wonderful too.

Paulie Gee's has the best vegan pizza in town IMHO and they have 3 pies for $45 on Wednesdays. Pictured. Jeb's garden. Simply red. In ricotta da Vida. Vegan supreme

It's New Year's Eve and I'm kicking off the new year with some pizza! I'm giving this pizza spot another try. I ordered the Hellboy and Rickey Too. Fingers crossed they are good. I love the vibe tonight. They are playing oldies which was great while I waited for my pies to cook in their brick oven. Nothing like sitting in the dim lights and listening to Dancing Queen and Betty Davis Eyes. Even though I'm ordering to-go, my server was super friendly and helpful. I find it refreshing to encounter friendly servers. These pies hit the spot! The crust was so good. It had a nice bite and chew to it. The flavors were fresh and spot on. Glad I gave them a second chance.

Bathrooms are clean and the labels are great, you gotta go use them to see what I mean. Anyways Paulie Gee's is easily my favorite pizza in Columbus so far. Im personally a fan of their Neapolitan pizzas but they offer thick "squares" as well. The dough is soft and crunchy with the perfect amount of leopard spotting/ash without being burnt. I'm sure they use 00 Flour so I know it's quality! I love their sauce and cheese as well. The restaurant itself isn't too shabby, there's a lot of seating and a bar available as well. They have daily specials if you're dining in so look it up ahead of time, my friends and I went on the night that offered 3 pizzas for $45 total. Our waitress was great and the service was surprisingly fast. I can't wait to come back, overall 4.8/5

D-licious! Daughter and I chose Paulie Gee's for an early-ish dinner on a Saturday. First time visit for me and I was impressed! We split a salad--Out Together and it was great. Very tasty pizza, chosen by daughter who ordered the Donna. The addition of the balsamic vinegar swizzled in top was excellent. We had bottled sodas to drink. Our waiter was super helpful. The restaurant was full but we got the last table without a wait. Cute "Italian restaurant " ambiance, a little dark but cozy and buzzing with conversations. Street parking for us. We lucked into a spot right in front but you may need to allocate a few minutes to find parking.

Finally tried Paulie Gee's after quite a few folks have suggested it on our quest to find some great pizza in OH. Did NOT disappoint! The Square was phenomenal, flavour, quality, and texture all came together for a perfectly scrumptious slice. We also got the hellboywhite pizza, again fantastic and fresh ingredients... but it really was the pizza square that will keep me up at night till i get another!

1st time visit. Stopped in before a show at the Garden Theater, Short North Stage, that is right next door. Super neat little place with a big woodworker pizza oven in the back. We had the Hellboy pizza. We didn't know pizza could taste this good. It was AMAZING!

Been waiting 4 years to come here and it was worth the wait. Both were incredible!! Can't wait to come back.

Mixed nut, toffee & rosemary! Addicting once you begin eating! Very good!

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

Really in love with its vibes, both indoor dining room with different segments of seatings and outdoor patio tables are amazing. The interior design here is truly unique and artistic. Great for big groups, date night, or even just chilling with friends. Not sure if it's the standard here, but there was never anyone filling our water during the entire dining time after they left 2 bottles of water on the table. Our server is patient and friendly but not on point. They messed up our orders, forgot one order and brought one wrong (we ordered smashed burger but received chicken sandwich). Very surprising that the staff didn't do anything or offer to send in the correct order. The chef of table service for Tomahawk is fun and enjoyable to carry conversations but unfortunately our Tomahawk was overcooked. We loved the presentation for sure though. Their smoked ribs is not "smoked" but boiled and soaked in sauce. The "smoked" part refers to its presentation, but their machine was down, and we were not told, so we basically got the ribs, neither smoked in cooking method nor smoked when it was brought to our table. The donut tree is another one great for eyes and cameras. It comes with little fireworks at the table service. Overall we enjoyed the breeze and atmosphere here. Will come back for relaxation if in town.

That being said, upon opening the door we were told we couldn't come in without masks. Mine was in my pocket, no problem. I haven't left my home (in Tennessee) often enough since the beginning of the virus for it to become habit to automatically put on a mask when I get out of my vehicle. But 9/10 times I remember before entering a public place. The male bartender just seemed rude in the way he told us to put one one. I had read the raving reviews, and being a Yelp Elite myself I know I can and do trust their reviews above others. So....I was really looking forward to trying something new and enjoy watching a bartender do their thing. The bartender pointed to two framed menus on top of a cooler containing seltzer's and canned drinks, and some glass bottles of pre-made cocktails, I think. I would've appreciated the bartender ask me what I liked, and help me decide, but it was easier for him to point to the sign. Customer service absolutely sucked hippo balls. I asked if I could just order a Knob Creek and Coke in a short glass, and a Blanton's for my hubs. Sure!! What I got was a shot of each in a to-go plastic condiment container with a lid, and two big paper go cups (like Burger King) of ice, and a can of Coke, which I told him never mind I had a soda in the truck. We also got two bags of Cheeto's, to make the sale legal. So....we poured our bourbons over the ice in the paper cups. I drank a few sips of mine, yum, even in paper. My husband was just about to take a sip and noticed something stuck in his ice that looked just like a maggot. He walked back across the street and told/showed the bartender, who vehemently denied it came from the ice because it was a brand new bag. Then I noticed 3 of the maggot looking things in my ice, so I went back in and showed my husband and then the bartender. He told my husband it was probably from the citrus he was cutting on a board near the ice bin. They were frozen INSIDE the ice cubes. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a picture of it, it was gross. I'm upset that a bartender would try to make it seem like it was nothing. After seeing it all in my ice my husband just asked for our money back, and the bartender said, "But I've already poured another." Ummm, sorry, but no thank you. He did give the refund, but I most assuredly won't give them a second chance when I visit Columbus.
