We had a great experience visiting Pietra Fina. We're remodeling our kitchen and are in search of material for our countertop. We were warmly welcomed by Sofia and Nancy was available to give us a tour and discuss our project. They have a vast selection of marble, quartzite, granite, dolomite, etc. Nancy was just wonderful to work with! She took copious notes as we browsed and provided us with pricing and availability information. Once we found slabs that we were interested in, she arranged for them to be pulled out and displayed so that we could assess them. Overall I can't imagine the experience being better. read more

As we worked through the sizing, their team helped us visualize the layout using blue tape to ensure the marble bookends highlighted the most beautiful patterns.. The quality was outstanding. Diena was great! She's very knowledgeable about all the materials at Pietra Fina, was easy to work with and responsive. The cost of the slab we purchased worked with our budget as well. I drove across the bay to some other stores, and the staff I worked with weren't knowledgeable, I was catching mistakes (slabs put in the wrong place, measurements were off), and they were delayed in their responses. Simply the finest place to get slabs around. If you are looking for higher end marbles, this is the place! They have plenty of other great options as well. For our most recent project we selected a mix of moderately price slave we love. Recently we were trying to work with a new fabricator who suggested thuer slab supplier. We ran into very questionable pricing and service so we went back to our usual babricator and Pietra Fina, so glad to be back! They make it so easy here! I visited their showroom several times before choosing a quartzite slab for the kitchen. The staff was helpful, and not pushy. There were a lot of choices to pick from. The service was excellent and my fabricator was able to pick it up without incident, several weeks after I paid for it. I am building a new home on the Peninsula and was in search of the perfect Calacatta Oro at a fair price. I found Pietra Fina on Instagram and am so happy that I did. Michele the owner made the process so smooth and honestly quite fun. I have been deeply involved in every element of construction, and this has been my favorite part to date. Michele is from Italy and his family has been in the stone business for decades. He is very very knowledgeable about the stone and willing to invest the time to educate his customers. He has SO MUCH MARBLE - so many types and price points of Calacatta Oro alone. He is happy to have his guys move slabs around so that you can compare directly. And, once we found the slabs we thought we wanted, he and his manager literally taped every element of our countertops onto the slabs to show how they would look/fit. He corresponded with me to answer all of my questions in subsequent days, and even did a little more taping and sending pictures/videos for me. Amazing customer service! Friendly and helpful! It was no problem at all to walk around their slab yard and view the styles. I got a 4"x4" sample of one style for free, and purchased an 18"x18" sample for $30 to take home and match tile to. Large selection of many types of marble (tons of Calcatta Oro and Statuario) and granite (including some beautiful Blue Louise, which I was unable to find at MSI). Minus one star only because the slabs were laid out facing each other, so you sort of had to wriggle between many tons of marble to see the full effect face-on. read more

I called Pietra Fina and explained that I needed a small piece of marble for a sink top. The girl suggested that I come down to take a look at their remnants because the piece I wanted was too small to justify buying a whole slab. I asked if they had very many remnants--she said they had "a lot." So I drove 50 miles down there to find that they have about a dozen remnants and wanted $1,000 for a cracked piece of white and gray marble the size of a small surfboard. The nice sales guy explained that Pietra Fina sells marble, but they do not cut it. So in fact, they do not have very many remnants. The remnants they have, they had to buy from a fabricator. I felt pretty mislead by the girl I spoke with on the phone. What a waste of my day off work.... Only go here if you are doing a big project, like a kitchen, and want to pay $3,000+ per slab. If you do, they have beautiful stuff. read more

Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend this place. Amazing gorgeous selection. My daughter and I were both hunting for different stone. She wanted Carrera and I Basaltina. The entire encounter was fun and we learned a lot. Lots of time was spent looking at different slabs, marking out our required size and shape on the actual piece with masking tape to see exactly where the veins would fall etc. All the way through, every part of our transactions were spot on. I honestly avoid writing bad reviews, but this time I had to do it. I had a truly bad experience with Pietra Fina, and especially with their manager Tina Bernardino. Tina was dishonest and unprofessional from the start. Here's the story: my contractor, installer and architect wanted me to get the wholesale price for the marble slabs I was purchasing for my new home, but Tina mentioned that she had already talked to them and that they said I couldn't get that price. I was obviously confused, so I called them again to check, and they reaffirmed that they told her to give me that price. After confronting her about it, she denied it again, so I asked her to call them in front of me, and that's when she was exposed. I wish the story ended here, but once we agreed that I was going to get it, she quoted me on a totally different price: obviously much higher than what one of the salesman initially gave me. I felt completely ripped off, so decided to cancel everything and not work with them moving forward. I do not wish for anyone to have such a bad experience, and deal with such dishonest people. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone! read more

I've been to several yards and either didn't find what I wanted. In every case, none of them had a great selection. The service is always rough, and English is rarely spoken. After having visited the supposed largest importer in the country, MSI, and finding only two small torn up pieces of Cararra, I headed over to Pietra Fina. I walked in and was warmly greeted. Everyone spoke English, which was refreshing, and the Italian owner came out to help me. The guy is from Carrara Italy! Can you believe it? What better place to buy Italian marble than from an Italian from Carrara? We walk around and found ourselves in CarraraLand. Everything and anything you could imagine, from basic to extraordinary. Every piece of stone in this place was just fantastic. They also had a LOT more than Carrara and it was all really, really good. We immediately found four slabs of the most beautiful Carrara and were out of there within 30 minutes. The service was outstanding and Michele, the other, was very passionate about our stone and really helped us understanding everything about it. After my experience at Pietra Fina, I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Don't go here. On the surface it appears to be a great business. Michel (the owner) appears to be a nice guy, but my opinion has changed after doing business with these guys. So, We picked out some slab for our kitchen, had it delivered to our fabricator. Thankfully our fabricator noted that the slab was full of cracks and resin and wanted to return it to Pietra Fina for a new slab. They refused. Can you believe they wouldnt want to take back an inferior slab and cost us $3k? What kind of business model is this? Now we'll never go back and make sure anyone we know doesn't, but it's a possibility that if they handled it right, we could have gone back and re-selected a slab that may have been more expensive than the original. But no...they won't take it back screwing us out of $3k. Not cool. We would recommend that no one goes here read more

Absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Tina was a nasty woman who had no manners, and acted like she is above everyone who works there. Other employees were nice, however Tina ruined the experience for me with her nasty personality. She is a pretentious and rude woman, I could not ask a simple question without some sort of snarky response and essentially calling me stupid. With the great selection that they have and potential for a wonderful business, it is a shame that such a rude woman is there to ruin the image of their company. Will not be returning. read more

FRAUD AWFUL Service! This place is fraud. They do bait and switch on products. The owner Mikael is sleazy and never keeps his word. They steal from their clients, as you can not take the slabs home yourself, when they delivery the material it is cracked and not their problem. Just purchased a granite slab from Pietra Fina. Victoria, the sales person, was very friendly, efficient and knew her stuff. It was a an experience looking at all the particular slabs which were moved and presented to us by their moving crew. We never felt rushed to make a selection. I got 2 slabs of Persa Blue for kitchen remodel. Couldn't find interesting slabs that matched my desired color scheme (though I reviewed 2 other places that had good stuff and prices), and then the owner listened to my needs and steered me into the back lot at something that Just Fit. Keep in mind there's a discount for fabricators, so get your fab guy to call and get you the discount. They will move the stored slabs around to this degree: they will pull two slabs for you to look at for every 1 you are going to buy - thus I saw 4. Perhaps you could bribe them to show you every slab in a stack, but I didn't need to. The prices were reasonable - not the cheapest, but their stone is quality and interesting stuff. I consider it a good value. They also have some off-the-charts top of the line stuff. If you want something distinctive, visit Pietra Fina. Sometimes there are free cookies. Victoria and other service staff are friendly & helpful without being intrusive. If nothing goes wrong with delivery and fabrication, I'll revise this up to 4 stars. - update: delivery and fabrication went fine. This stone is a joy to live with. I enjoy just standing in the kitchen looking at it. Almost the best thing about the new kitchen (storage gotta count for something). read more

Pietra Fina has a beautiful selection of stones from which you can chose. Their knowledge of the stones is like none other I've seen. Everyone there is extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. They go out of their way to move the stones in just the right angle to get a good look at them in the perfect light. I can't say enough good things about this business. Update: My experience of Pietra Fina continues to impress! My kitchen counter had to be re-fabricated due to a major error by the fabricator. Pietra Fina had sold out of the stone I had originally chosen so I was stuck. Michele connected me to a fabricator who he had sold the same stone to and I was able to purchase another slab directly from this new fabricator. This additional sale did not benefit Michele yet he was willing to help out a customer in need of assistance. I cannot say enough good things about Pietra Fina! read more

As the saying goes, its usually 1 bad apple that ruins the bunch. couldnt me more true in this case. normally im really passive and dont think much about a negative experience after having one when dealing with an individual. in this case, i learned that this particular woman, who will be named Tina so as to ID her as the sole reason for me wasting my time typing this. She could not have made my 2 trips to this business more UNpleasant than anyone i have dealt with for any reason, anywhere, in as long as i can remember, and that is saying ALOT! Its hard to put a reason on it as to why she is the way she is. i cant imagine it was personal. And i really wish i would have asked one of the other more pleasant, helpful people that work there whether she was always like that, or was maybe just having a bad day(s)/week/month/year/life. The word "miserable" is an understatement ... on multiple levels. I feel really bad for the poor folks that work there that have to put up with her on a daily basis. At any rate, avoid Tina like the plague, and you should be just fine. read more
