We bought our first house and was planning a complete remodel. We had very specific requirements for style and quality yet also was very tight on timing to move in. I have shopped around a lot, none of them can compare with PHD on the fast turnaround, expertise, customization choices and quality. Kenny sketched up the design for the whole kitchen within an hour of discussion. He then showed us a huge selection of materials and colorways. It was very hard for us to decide on the materials given so many choices so Kenny gave us his expertise advice on how to match the paint color, hardwood floor material and color etc. He also went ahead and gave us advice on how to choose countertops and tiles even though we did not purchase those from PHD. He gave us samples of the material they offer when we shop around for other materials. The cabinets arrived within 4 weeks of freezing the design. Logistics and installation was very smooth. Quality was very good as expected. Everything was thoroughly wrapped and protected. After the installation, I figured out that I needed some more materials than originally planned and Kenny gave those to me for free. Right off the bat, we were amazed by his expertise, his talent with design and watched our dream kitchen come to life before our eyes in less than an hour. It was captivating to watch. This store does not stand for the product they sell! My first Yelp review goes to PHD Hayward. A few weeks ago we bought a pure white quartz vanity top in this store. It was covered in dusts when we found it in their showroom but they assured us that they will clean the vanity top and pack it, so we paid for it and had our contractor to pick it up two weeks later. It was such a mistake to blindly trust them - we found the vanity top was still dirty all over the place and it didn't have any packaging. After wiping it hard with many many alcohol wipes, we found there are obvious smudges on several places that simply cannot be removed! We called them regarding this and they said it cannot be returned or exchanged and they will not do anything about it. They claim it is a clearance item and once it leaves the store it is sold as is. The truth is the item was not on any sale and we got a 10% discount only because we found there is a chip on one corner. They did put "no exchange no return" on the receipt which we only found out after calling them, but guess if they've ever mentioned it when we paid for it! So now we are stuck with a brand new smudged white vanity top. This is clearly a quality problem but PHD Hayward decided not to be responsible for it. And more ironically we now find Granite Expo sells exactly the same vanity top for almost $100 cheaper! We ordered our new custom kitchen cabinets with the help of Kenny Zheng. He was a great help to us when we started our cabinet order. And checked in constantly before ordering to make sure we had it all correctly laid out. The cabinets were fabricated and delivered, and installed smoothly. A few trim pieces were messed up by my installer and he even replaced those at no charge. The only hiccup were some adjustable shelves that we cut the wrong size, but they even sent out new shelves and a technician to make sure it all worked. Victor was great to make sure we got it all right and quick to follow up if there were any issues. Overall the quality is fantastic. Solid wood drawer construction and 3/4" plywood boxes with a finish maple veneer on all of the surfaces and edge inside, including the adjustable shelves. Wide range of laminated, paints and veneers for doors and drawer fronts. And very cost competitive. Excellent value. read more

I recently remodeled my condo and worked with Kenny from PHD on new kitchen cabinets. They went above and beyond and made sure our kitchen come out great, even taking on responsibilities that were not theirs at all. Remodeling can be a very frustrating experience. I've found almost every party that I've worked with using questionable practices, or had trouble deliverable due to sheer incompetence. But not Kenny / PHD! Most cabinet makers require an appointment to discuss the design, and then they will email you the design a few days later. Kenny and staff drew the entire design in our first appointment, and tweaked a few times later upon our request. They then got everything ready in three weeks. When some of the cabinet doors were damaged by my contractor (not PHD's fault), Kenny sent new doors immediately. When another mistake was made with the range hood (the retailer told us the wrong dimensions) after everything was installed, Kenny helped us figure out what the best mitigation strategy was. When my contractor couldn't align the doors well, Kenny patiently explained that to them and eventually even sent somebody to help with the alignment. Thank you Kenny, and thank you PHD. The final product comes out great! I wish every business I've dealt with in my remodeling project would be more like PHD, with high efficiency, honesty, and integrity. We didn't end up buying here because we couldn't get what we wanted. The prices are good, the merchandise is nice, but there is no "ordering" what you want when it comes to vanities. They have what they have on the showroom floor, you can swap around the countertop and the vanity with the on hand stock, but if it's not there you aren't getting it. I liked one unit, came back a week later and it was sold and I can't order something similar. You have to see what comes off the truck each delivery. If you have time and patience, that's great, but we don't have either. The staff are very nice. You must be accompanied on the warehouse floor, which is understandable, but we were tailed throughout the showroom too, it was a bit creepy. After saying we were just looking, we could have been left alone, we aren't going to steal planks of wood samples. You can get some great deals here, but it may time some time, effort, and a lot of checking in over and over. read more

They have a set static pricing schedule for contractors so that the contractors make between 10-20% markup when their customers use their account. You can watch Property Brothers and Fixer Upper all you want...once the shovel hits the ground, I was lost in the sauce. Then there were Jennifer and Hal at Pacific Home Decor. Absolutely professional and they walk you step by step on the material you would need to create your dream home. The best thing is, they will spend an hour with you and wouldn't force you to buy anything. Jennifer helped me graph the layout of my kitchen cabinets on a flat drawing using computer programs. Once completed, she was able to generate a 3D layout. You need to see how fast Jennifer operate this program, she was like a pianist on a computer keyboard! Patience and making wise decisions can save you tons of $$$ here. They can get very busy but its a good sign that its a trusted place. Combination of price and quality cannot be beat! Kenny really knows his stuff. Go there in the off hours if you cannot decide and work with Kenny. He will put the floor, cabinet, countertop samples together so you can visualize everything together. Stuff does sell out fast, so dont be disappointed if the floor or the vanity you like isint available or is backordered and there is a 2~3 month wait time. Do your homework... This review is overdue. I recently remodeled my Kitchen and my contractor recommended I look at Pacific Floor for my Cabinetry. Jennifer and Kenny have been extremely helpful and have gone out of the way to make it happen, given that I live in Mountain View and getting to the store in person for me was quite a trek! I have gotten lot of last minute fixes sorted over the phone with Kenny. I selected a new line of European style 'frameless' cabinet and Kenny was able to customize a lot of my requirements like giant 36" pull out double drawers, small 6" vertical cabinet for my baking trays etc etc. He even made custom sized under sink cabinets since I went for a farmhouse sink which was much deeper than the regular sinks. read more
