As a pizza fanatic, I'm always look for that next great pie. I found a great one. Piezons is located in a small strip center in the SW corner of 156th and Center. It's not the easiest to find to but U-turns are allowed on 156th both North and South. In fact, if you're a Facebook friend, there are frequent discounts, one specifically for U-Turns! The pizza is fantastic, fresh toppings, just the right amoutn cheese and an incredible buttery crust. Try the "Slice o Country" pizza. Prices are reasonable based on the pizza size (huge) and the quality of the ingredients. They were very busy went in last Friday night but the pizza was ready when promised and the staff seemed like the actually enjoyed working there. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! I called to place an order - the guy told me I can't do two different sauce bases, so I asked if he could hold for 10 seconds so I can ask my wife which one we should choose. Guy thought he was on mute and immediately said "OMG he just asked ME if he could put ME on hold" and then 5 seconds later said "GOD I HATE PEOPLE" I told him he might want to mute when he talks and that he sounds like an a hole. I asked to speak with a manager and he said he would get Dave, then he put "Alex" on the phone to talk about the situation who probably isn't the manager. He stated he was another manager - didn't know Pizza places had two managers on duty at a time.... Didn't offer to comp my food or anything - regardless I would have turned down, I am not a fan of spit in my food. Pizza was good the first time, but there won't be a second time for me. Bigger isn't always better ... except for when it is. And Piezon's pizzas are enormous! The prices are up there -- $15.95 for a medium. But you get what you pay for. I mean, the husband and I can down a pizza with the best of 'em, and our one medium Oh Dio Mio (Phoenix chicken, pepperoni, cream cheese) was enough for two super-filling meals for us both. The pizza itself is tasty enough. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely worth going again. Although the next time around, it might be wise to avoid the Phoenix chicken -- it's just a bit too hot for my blood! read more

Yum! We have been here a few different times since it is right down the street. The service has always been great as the guys in there are always very polite. Plus it is quick! The first time we got a basic half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. Basic. Easy. And it was great! The only down-side from this visit is that I noticed it wasn't quite as crispy as I typically like crust. So the next time we did the same order except ordered it extra-crispy and this was SPOT ON! Same great taste but with that perfect crispness--crispy enough to hold shape, but not burnt. Our last visit is where we decided to venture out of the basic order and got the Phoenix. It was just not very good. I love spice, but this was a little too much and the chicken just wasn't very good--think shredded chicken that has been in a crock-pot all day = DRY. We learned though. Just stopped in for the first time for lunch. They advertise a New York style pizza. I ordered sausage, onion, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Overall, it's a pretty good pizza, but it fails the New York test. I tried to fold it, and it fell apart in my hands. Lucky I didn't drop half a slice on my shirt. The crust was crisp, but the crumb texture was too soft. Whether too low a protein content, too short a knead, or too short a proof (or all three), the crust just doesn't have enough strength to handle a fold. The crust did have some good flavor, though, and the homemade sausage was pretty good too, though nothing like I've had in New York. More like a better version of La Casa than anything else I can think of off-hand. The toppings are good overall. I'd stop by here once in a while for lunch if I worked in the area. I wouldn't drive across town for one unless someone else was buying. It would be, I think, a question of putting together the right mix of toppings. Three stars means "A-OK" in the Yelp lexicon, and Piezon's is pretty much that. read more

This is my second time visiting. The service is Nonchalant, but low-key awesome. I am normally a craft beer guy but there's something about a really good slice or two coupled with a Busch light. My favorite place in Omaha for thin crust pizza. Thin crust perfectly done. It is very slightly charred and very crisp. I love almost all of the pizzas on the menu. This was the first place where I had a pizza with cream cheese on it. I know it does not sound good, but try it, it is absolutely delicious. This is the only place that I go to that when you order a single slice, it comes out just as good as when you order a whole pie. I love the tomato sauce they use on their pizzas. It is not too spicy or too mild. It is loaded with flavor but does not overwhelm the rest of the items on the pie. I tried Piezons for the first time tonight and the menu looked really promising but we were a tad bit disappointed in our pizza. Personally we weren't a fan of the pheonix chicken as we found it to be overly seasoned (neither my boyfriend or I could finish 1 piece), but while it wasn't for us I can certainly see why it would be a big hit for other people. Besides that the large is an excellent size for what you pay for and the crust is delicious. I'd like to try a different pizza without the pheonix chicken because I enjoyed the crust so much. Another downside is that they don't deliver, bummer! read more

Just got done having a half and half pizza with the Oh Mio Dio and The Dave. All I can say is WOW. I'd put it at the top of the Omaha pizza market. The sweetness from the pineapples with the spicy with the jalapeños is a perfect combination. It's simply amazing. The guy who took our order to go, was A+ and extremely kind. First time there on a Sat night. Had a big party (9) people and didn't have to wait too long for the owner to get us a big table together. We waited at the bar which accommodates a lot of people and had drinks while we waited. The pizzas we ordered were fantastic. One was a spicy chicken with cream cheese. It was delicious. All had very good flavor and loved the crust. Had appetizers of pickle chips, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. All good. They have a great beer selection including some of the local Omaha brewers. Its not a big place, but the staff will make sure you are taken care of.
