Clio was an absolute unexpected gem in the heart of Downtown Omaha, NE. I am from out of town, and was wandering around with a friend, trying to decide what to eat. We decided on Clio, and after much indecisiveness over the menu, we asked for server recommendations, since everything looked so good. The server said her favorite salad was the Spicy Labneh. So, we got that, and also the Clio Salad. We also got Falafel and Crispy potatoes off of the Happy Hour menu. Everything was SO FLAVORFUL and FRESH! We loved it ALL so much, and were so satisfied with our choices. I am quite a good cook, so sometimes eating out can be a disappointment. I can usually find some critique or improvement or something to be said, or left to be desired. This was not the case for this restaurant! One of my all time favorite restaurant experiences! So pretty! Beautiful dining area with an adorable patio. They have a great selection of spreads, kabobs, small and large plates. I liked the cocktail and wine selection too. I was downtown on a Friday for work and decided to make it a Friday funday so I hopped on a 315 resi because Clio is notoriously hard to get into without a reservation. It is a very small space, I used to work in the restaurant that was her prior, so I love what they did with the space. Even dropping the ceiling makes it more cute vs feel smaller. Now, we did just come from crepes so we weren't hungry but I wanted to get in and get my hummus and pita. The baba ganush hummus was INSANELY good! The pita, warm and perfect. Went to Clio for lunch with my coworkers. First I will say it is so lovely inside. The ambiance is calm and it feels like you're walking into Greece! We had the 4 spreads to start and they were a delight, my favorite was the one with pomegranate. As my meal, I had the chicken kabob. The seasonings in the saffron rice was so pronounced. Went to celebrate my birthday in May with a reservation for their happy hour. The staff had signed a birthday card and it was on my table on arrival, which felt like a really nice touch. Quickly noticed that their prices for falafel are $6 for 3pcs or $9 for 4pcs, which doesn't make any sense to pay more per falafel by ordering one more. I asked if they were larger sized falafel or anything and was told it was a pricing error they would fix eventually. Months later, the price remains the same. Their chili crisp add-on for the spreads was also posted in the menu as $1 but was charged as $2 when the bill arrived. It's a super fun environment and space, the staff was great, and everything is very delicious, but I can't trust their prices and bills to make sense without having to check it. I recently tried this Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Omaha, and it was absolutely excellent. The food was so fresh and flavorful -- truly one of those meals where you wish you had more room in your belly to keep going. The crispy potatoes alone were worth the visit. I honestly could've just ordered those and been happy. They were perfectly seasoned and addictive. I also had the chicken kebabs in a gluten-sensitive tortilla, and everything was cooked beautifully. You can tell they care about quality. The restaurant itself is very cute and stylishly decorated, with a fun, lively atmosphere. It was busy -- and for good reason. When I arrived, only bar seating was available unless I wanted to wait a couple of hours. Since it was just me, I grabbed a spot at the bar, and it worked out perfectly. Downtown Omaha is a bit of a mess right now, but I was able to get there early, find parking, and make it back to my hotel without any issues. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Stopped here on a road trip between Chicago + Denver, and we were so impressed that we stopped again on our way back from Denver. Everything here was super elevated. My husband actually said it was the best kabob of his life, which was really wild to me because we eat kabob all the time LOL. It really was incredibly good though.. The pita is also super soft and fluffy. I stuck to the GF option on our first visit, but tried some of the sourdough on our second visit with no negative reactions. Service was a bit slow, but also attentive, giving a true Mediterranean vibe. I also appreciated that on our second visit, several people seemed to be out to lunch by themselves, enjoying a mid day glass of wine/reading a book- so perfect If we are ever in Omaha again, we will definitely be back! Probably more like 4.5/5 stars. I flew into Omaha for a work trip and meet up with some friends who lived an hour away. I did some research and found this place and wanted to give it a try. I'll say, the food was very delicious! We got here around 8 pm, so it wasn't as busy, although they still had a bunch of people dining. The restaurant was nicely decorated and our server was nice. She explained the menu and we took a glance at it. I wanted to try their salmon kabob (per the recommendation of the server) and my friends got their orders too. We all added a pita for a dollar each I think. We also got an app for the table (I think the Turkish dumplings). The food came out and it all looked very delicious. The flavors were all great. The salmon was soft and flakey and had nice flavors. Squeeze a little bit of lemon on it and mmm delicious! The rice was also very good and paired well with the salmon. The only negatives in my opinion is the price (it's not a cheap place to eat), and the portion size was, in my opinion, a bit smaller than I would have liked. For instance, I finished my plate and I didn't feel hungry anymore, but I also didn't feel full. Especially for a $30 plate, I wished they put more rice or something. The dip combo is the star of the place, it is a must-get! All of the different menu items we've gotten have been wonderful- potatoes, kebabs, branzino. Only down side is service timing has been off every time we've gone. First time we waited about 15 minutes after plates were cleared before getting our check and waited again for them to pick up the payment. Our most recent time we got the dip appetizer and not even 5 minutes later our main course was brought to the table. Apart from the timing glitch, the two-top table is very small so there wasn't really space to have everything at once. read more

I love the ambiance at Clio and all the options they have on the menu so it was the perfect fit for my birthday dinner. I booked a table for 14 a month in advance for my party and confirmed the week of - unfortunately we had to wait about 45 minutes after our reservation to be seated. (Pro-tip grab a drink at any bar nearby if you think the wait will be long). The food itself was great, we tried a few starters and entrees that were shared across the table. I'm a sucker for burrata so I would highly recommend that or the 4 spreads for your starters! The drinks were also great - the Hugo spritz is light and delicious. The mains were also very good and I was thrilled that they had some SOLID and varied gluten free and vegan friendly options for my friends. We had some issues with the check at the end, but due to our timing issues, they comped a few of our starters from the bill. Plus they gave me a birthday dessert on the house! Overall, I'd still very muchrecommend trying Clio, but maybe try to stick to a smaller group for less issues. read more

I don't usually go for Mediterranean food, but I'd heard their happy hour was one of the best in Omaha for both food and drinks. I went after a Friendsgiving, so I wasn't all that hungry (tragic timing, because everything that came out of the kitchen looked incredible). I decided to focus on the drinks and tried both the Cardamom Espresso Martini and the Pistachio Espresso Martini--and wow. I've never had either flavor anywhere else, and they were absolutely amazing. Perfectly balanced, creative, and dangerously easy to sip. Even though I didn't try the food this time, the atmosphere was lively without being too loud, and the service was great. I also love their moscato. The yellowtail crudo and crispy potatoes are also delicious mezze. Their crème brûlée, the first time I had it, was delicious with strong cardamom flavor. What a lovely restaurant. I went for lunch, and Clio checks all the boxes. 1st off there is a wine, beverage and mocktail list. For those who don't drink alcohol, and don't want to be relegated to a cola out of a soda gun, this is a delightful place to go for craft mocktails. We got the sausage and date wrapped in bacon which satisfied the sweet salty combo. It was a little unusual for the 1st bite, but the appetizer grew on us as we ate it.
