My boyfriend and I stopped here for carne asada fries and a margarita. He is from San Diego and wanted to satisfy his craving. This is my first time having Carne Asada fries. I was hoping for a little bit more meat and my boyfriend also agreed. However, it had very good flavor and hit the spot. The spicy margarita is equally as good and definitely will get again. We both were surprised on the size though. Haha We also got some chips and guacamole. The guacamole was very chunky and hard to scoop with our chips, but it was pretty good. Straight out of the airport and into this establishment! The breakfast burritos were delicious way to start our day. They were out of their house potatoes but subbed for french fries and it was quite delicious. I very much enjoyed their avocado and green salsa. What a fantastic place with great service and even better food. One of my long time friends brought me here. She loves everything! We started with guacamole and chips and salsa. I don't think these were free but delicious. Next I tried two tacos. One was fish taco and the 2nd one was short beef ribs. Both of my tacos were great my only complaint is the bones were still in the short ribs. Kind of had to eat inside of a taco. Small suggestion just pull and chop. It would just be easier to eat but other than that I was a fan! We also tried a Tequila Mule Fantastic. This place has been remodel and is right across from Portland Police Department. Had a good visit to Pig Patas Tacos. I ordered the lengua tacos. The lengua was okay, but not as flavorful as I would have liked. The prices are super reasonable. A meal for two with a 22% tip (for their amazing service) came to about $24. The restaurant was clean and has a relaxed vibe. The service is impeccable! They also have a parking lot. There are several tacos available in this place where Mexican music plays in the background. I got the grilled chicken taco from the restaurant. We also ordered chicken taquerias and it looks like Inarizushi to me. The food here was delicious. THE BEST AL PASTOR TACOS IVE FINALLY FOUND THEM! They've got the real deal gyro type pastor spit and it is juicy and legit. $3 a taco, so average price plus they got a bunch of other dressed up tacos and traditional plates, as well as several tasty soups. I've tried the Sopa Azteca which was like a comforting Mexican chicken noodle soup. Too large and simple tasting to eat for a full meal for me but great for to go when your sick or to share. And some of their specialty tacos are pretty good too if your in the mood for a bigger, less traditional type taco. But the star of this place is definitely the Al Pastor Tacos, I have to get at least one every time I go even if I'm trying something different. The big beers here are quite big too (25oz). Pretty disappointing. I took my niece and her family here for lunch. My nieces shrimp taco's were not properly shelled and she had to return it for something else after taking 2 bites. The rice was BLAND as in no flavor at all and no veggies either. I'm sorry I can't recommend though it is a clean and cute little establishment and we had very good service. read more

The street tacos are also tasty, I like the crispy carnitas with grilled onion and jalapeño. My friend always gets the nachos, they are massive! Happy Hour is every day 4-6pm (closed Mondays) and all day Sunday which means $5 Margaritas! The spicy margarita, which is my fave because I like a bit of heat to balance the sweet, is just $6. Hubby told me: 4 stars for the food! They were prompt, polite, everything was boxed up nicely. The tortillas was HOT! The carne asada plate was magnificent. 'Best Mexican food' he ever had! I had the Chicken/Shrimp Fajitas. We had it to go. The tortillas that was rolled-wraped in foil was burning through my legs, I could feel it was coming from the food. I love the fact, they accommodate me when I asked chicken AND shrimp for their fajitas. Everything was delicious. I ate only half, without the tortillas, I forgot I had those! ONLY negatives: To go, means: we need silver wares. We got napkins. But, we also asked for water. I wasn't sure if we're supposed to help ourselves with water, but the bag didn't have water for both of us. We have been searching high and low for a solid go to place when we are craving tacos or chips and salsa. We decided to finally try this place and did an online order. It said it would be ready in about 15 minutes so I headed up pretty quickly. Upon arrival they stated they did not get our online order. About five minutes into the conversation of trying to figure it out the order came through and they begin to work on my meal. A slight inconvenience but then I knew my food would be fresh so I wasn't too worried about it. We ordered about $50 worth of food because he wanted to try many different things. The chips and salsa were very good. Chips were perfectly salted and fresh. The salsa was more of a restaurant style which I like. It didn't have much of a kick if that's what you're looking for. It was simple and light. We tried about seven different types of tacos ranging from chicken to Carnitas to Carne Asada. All of them tasted excellent. They were doubled in the corn tortillas much like a street taco with onions and cilantro. All of the meats were well seasoned and not dry. They came with some lime slices which added to the flavor. My wife had the shrimp taco and fish taco. I did not try these but she said the fish taco was excellent as that's what she normally orders when we get tacos. She said she would pass on the shrimp as it lacked flavor. We had a side of beans and rice that were just OK. I would not get them again either. They were actually the only thing that was cold when we got home. We only live about 3 miles from there so it wasn't like we drove a long distance. We also ordered a Horchata to drink and it was fantastic. Lastly I ordered the carnita tortitas. I think that's what it was called. It was shredded meat with excellent guacamole and a sort of fried cheese that was stuck to this wonderfully greasy ciabatta bread. Upon the first bite I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it but then couldn't stop myself from eating it. It was kind of like a taco burger but on a whole new level! I would totally get it again. It was extremely filling. The staff were extremely nice and gave wonderful customer service. About halfway through eating the meal we decided this would be our go to from now on. read more

It's a cool place if you want 4 inch tacos for $3. But they removed one of the main dishes from their menu. The chicharrones with queso. That's why I went. Then their margaritas on happy hour are about 1/4 the normal size for $8. That's not a good deal, in my opinion. They look nothing like the normal margaritas also. Shrimp tacos ($4) are, by far, my favorite. Perfectly cooked shrimp, crunchy slaw, spicy Mayo - squeeze the lime over it for the perfect bite.
