    Eggs Benedict & Breakfast Sandwich

Since we had been to the Love Shack before we knew we wanted to try brunch at G-Love as soon as they announced it and finally got the opportunity to. While we couldn't get a reservation we decided to just head down and see if we could get a table for three. They were able to seat us no problem. The waitress explained that everything is intended to be shareable so we ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and eggs Benedict!! They were both amazing and the flavors were excellent. It's the cutest spot with great covered outdoor seating! Highly recommend!!

The service was great and all the food was very delicious! Notes: -The ambiance was extremely noisy not sure if it's always this way but was kind of difficult to have a table convo. -We ordered everything to be shared with our table which was fun! It's like a tapas style almost so pretty small portions for everything -Everything was so good only thing I wasn't super thrilled about was the wagyu came with a gravy all over it and I wish it had been on the side. IMO it took away from the quality of the meat. - everything we ordered: Potato fingerlings, Caesar broccoli, scallop and pork skewers, crudo, crudite, wagyu, pesto tagliatelle - they were out of two small dishes we wanted to order but we did go around 8:45pm so kind of understandable Overall price for those things for 5 people (+6 drinks) was around $350. Pretty pricey for the amount of food but the quality of the food was very good!

With so many options in Portland an establishment needs to go the extra mile to stand out. G-Love stands out! The fresh ingredients are plated with care and what they've done with the spices is really tasty. Our waitress was so kind and the interior was both open and bright.

I cannot give this place enough wows. Cocktails were incredible and every dish that our server brought out was undeniably one of the best things I've ever eaten. They took a lot of care to provide. I appealing dishes that then were elevated by their flavor profiles. I'm still full from last night.

Went back 3/29 to try their new brunch menu. First of all the coffee was delicious. I ordered the iced ube latte and loved it! The hot pistachio latte was also very good. Will be coming back to get the coffee to go forsure. For food we ordered the patatas bravas, which were delicious and had great sauce. The Benedict was average. Also came with plain potatoes so maybe wouldn't have also gotten the patatas bravas if knew but they were good so whatever. Ordered the stuffed French toast and loved that, would get that again forsure.

I really enjoyed this place- superb date night spot! The food was great, so were the mocktails; definitely want to come back to try the REAL drinks though LOL. I wasn't super impressed with the desserts, but that's more because it wasn't really my palate taste, however, I can see how others would enjoy them. I did love the s'mores bites that the chef sent out, those were AMAZING. I can't wait to come back to try more menu items, everyone was so friendly, love love love!

G Love is always a G ood Time Shoutout to the chef who prepped the chives (?) on the "Focaccia Di Formaggio" on Sunday 4/19/2026 (See attached images) Re: Straws - they have the green-washed brown textured ones (that are able to survive the night so I am grateful)

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Reservations were easy to get a couple days in advance. Ambiance is fresh, modern, light. They also have a great outdoor, heated and covered patio. We sat at a two top near the exposed kitchen and got to see some of the chefs' handiwork. Service was great. Our server was friendly, available and not pushy. We ordered a la carte as we had specific dishes we wanted to make sure we tried. We ordered the albacore and steak skewers, crusty avocado, fingerling potatoes, crunchmaster crisp salad, a duck large plate and hamachi Kama (both no longer on the menu). The only disappointment was the hamachi Kama. The server had recommended this over the salmon entree, as it was more unique.. but we did not enjoy the taste. Everything else was tasty, and larger than we anticipated. My favorite was probably the avocado, and my husband's favorite was the duck. We left pleasantly full.

In NW Portland and craving tapas? Definitely check out G-Love. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by what came out of the kitchen -- each dish somehow topped the last. Friendly staff, casual seating, and easy street parking make it an easy choice. Overall, a great spot to relax and enjoy some seriously tasty small plates. Enjoy!

I made reservations for a Friday night at G Love, and they did not disappoint! Every dish was full of flavor, but the pork belly skewers, ahi tuna with avocado, and the beets were absolute standouts. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my strawberry and dairy allergies. Thank you to Ren for being so hopeful and educating the group on the menu. Drinks were also incredible! We chose to sit inside but the ambiance was modern, sleek and the music was upbeat but not too loud.

I came here for a year end dinner with some friends. The place was pretty busy and made me forget that it was a Sunday winter night. We ordered the family style menu, where the chef decides what we get. It was an easy decision for us as we didn't want to think. The food came out pretty quick and was excellent. I really enjoyed the fingerling potatoes, ensalata bomba, and the grilled bavette. The drinks were also pretty good and interesting especially the Goldie Hawn - cheerio infused whiskey, coconut water, vanilla, and sesame. Overall, a great experience with friends.

As tradition goes, I always do a menu tasting when I'm in town. This was the winner after my extensive research. I chose this spot because they focus on vegetables and are leaning on healthy options. We checked in 30 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, but they were kind enough to seat us. They put us outside. It was a cold night, but they have heaters blasting. I was the only one who did the wine pairing. My friends did end up getting one bev. They poured me a good amount each serving. AND each wine was so good. The chilled red was my favorite. Then the food started coming. And it kept going. First were the starters. We got the avocado, potatoes, beets and the bread situation. My eyes lit up after each bite. Holy shit everything was so delicious. Like slap the table good. I forgot about my wine cos I kept chewing. Next up were two salads. The first was a beautifully plated pear and the other was our favorite dish of the night- the crunchmaster crisp salad. The explosion of flavors in that salad was perfection. I would've eaten the whole plate, but had to share. We then moved to the chicken, cauliflower salad and steak. I l started to hit my wall after eating about half the piece of chicken I got. I could barely eat the salad. I had a couple of bites. I did manage to have a piece of the steak that looked beautiful sitting on their special sauce. To end, they gave us churro bites and a passion fruit ice cream. We had a little bit of trouble digging in cos the ice-cream was a little hard, but it was meant to be that temp. It was so refreshing. And just the right amount of sweetness. The first course was my favorite. There so many different flavors happening. I was overwhelmed in the best way. Service was 10/10. They took the time to explain each dish and drink that was dropped off. They were friendly and personable. We got checked on just the right amount of time. We ended up taking the chicken home that we couldn't finish. My choices never disappoint. Thank you for an amazing meal.

    Scallop and Chicken Skewers
    Ploy N.

Modern dinner spot with fun ambience and innovative dishes. We have never had anything like the dishes we had there before. The standouts were Fingerling Potatoes and the Blackened Trout. Love the umami-ness of the creme fraiche trout roe dip that came with the crispy potatoes. Their trout was super well-cooked and moist. This paired very well with the tumeric pickles. Their menu is vegetable forward, featuring lots of salads and grilled seasonal veggies. The Ensalata Bomba was refreshing. Skewers were a tad too small...Their food in general is tapas-style but they skimpped out a bit too much on the skewers in my opinion. Desserts were fun. We tried the Calamansi Sorbet and really liked the tartness. Overall, a fun spot for special occasion and I'd go back to try more of their food and drinks.

The garlic fries were spicy in the best way, perfectly crisp, and served steaming hot. The Duck Stack (pancakes covered with duck gravy, onions, and a duck egg) sounded a bit odd to me (and probably many others). When I asked the server if it was good, they told me that people travel to the restaurant specifically for that dish. I'm glad I tried it. Again, very unique with a well balanced spice profile paired with the delicious undertones of a hot pancake. I know I would have never thought of that, doesn't sound like it should work, but....it worked! Our female server was rushed from the get go. While I was perusing the drink menu, she ran off to get my partner his wine because he had decided already. She wasn't willing to wait 5 seconds for me to decide. She was in a hurry to service other diners. It wound up being this way throughout the meal. There was constant rushing and not paying attention to us. It felt awkwardly harried. The problem with the food was my dish came half hot, half cold. The quail was hot and very flavorful while the pureed peas and potatoes were served cold under the quail. Normally, I would send it back for this, but I was too hungry and didn't want to hassle it. This entree was $38. But the biggest offense was that I wrote the restaurant about my experience and they did not respond. I might give a place another chance if they cared enough to hear from their customers and apologize, but that didn't happen. Hence this review.

We all liked the nicely flavorful side dishes meant for sharing and would encourage everyone to try those. Oddly, there's this disconnect: The place is very "come as you are" aka Portland casual, with server in jeans, some guests in shorts, etc. That's fine, even good, if you know that in advance or if you're at a fast casual place where you order at a counter, for example. But we didn't know that and we went there for a special occasion so the vibe felt off, thinking others would have also approached it as more of an upscale experience. The place is huge. Massive tent out front along Burnside (sitting in there would make it even more casual) plus the indoor space with bar seating.
