Had one of the best burritos I've ever had at Pinches. Considering what an epic Mexican food scene Portland has, that's saying a lot! The chile relleno burrito was massive and plenty to share with another person. Vegetarian burritos are an after thought at a lot of the Mexican places I've been to, but not here. It was super flavorful, even before I added all of the delicious salsas. The employees were kind and I love that it's open late (2am!) on weekends. It had a few small tables inside and some nice outdoor tables as well. I also loved that they have a few video lottery machines in the back.

Pico rice, and Carne Asada Plate

I'm very angry. First my son and I went here to pick up a couple of burritos and a plate for dinner. The music was so loud that he had to scream for me to hear him. I just spent about$17 on a carne Asada plate. Typical plate, meat, beans, rice, pico, and tortillas. You would think that it sounds great till I opened it up and looked at it moved a little bit of rice around because the amount of meat is next to nothing. I understand things are expensive but what I don't understand is being ripped off. I'm going to post pictures of the same plate from different angles so that you can see when I'm talking about. There is no way they normally serve this amount of meat to people..

Beans are canned. Birria dry as the Sahara

I chose this restaurant because it had decent reviews. I pulled in to the parking lot hungry and hopeful. I was the only car in the parking lot so that made me a little nervous. I walk in and see 3 tables and double doors to a back area that had some gambling machines, the space in the back area looked bigger than the eating area!! There was a big screen TV that advertised a taco de papa plate, so I went ahead and ordered what was on the screen and the lady that took my order was confused and downright rude. I ordered in English and Spanish just to make sure she got the order right and she was still confused so I pointed to the television and showed her the ad. We got our food and it was not what I expected. The plate of tacos de papa were runny with too much caldo and to make it worse the tacos were made with HASH BROWNS! Who does that???? I have never heard of this. It is offensive to tacos dorados. The birria plate was dry, no consomé, the beans were canned. The best thing about this place was the green salsa. I do not recommend this place at all. Please go somewhere else if you want authentic Mexican food.

Ordered delivery got the fish burrito and chile relleno burrito. Both were pretty good but each needed a something? The chili relleno itself was really good but in a burrito with just beans & rice it needed some sauce. It said it came with sour cream but there was none in the burrito, personally I think it could have used some pico to be added. Someone else said avocado that also sounds good. Also the 1 freebie salsa they give you is not enough at all. Probably get 3-4 salsas per burrito. I got a side of consume but it wasn't what it needed. The beans & rice were solid tho. Fish burrito was good fish was surprisingly good actually. It might have also been slightly dry but was easily remedied with salsa. But once again, order a few. Both burritos were also huge. I know everyone says that but these really were huge. Were they worth the exorbitant fees and shit from the delivery app? I argue nothing is worth it. Go in person be a better bang for your buck.

I was looking for a good burrito spot and saw this one had lots of great reviews. I ordered the chile relleno burrito but unfortunately it lacked flavor. It was a huge burrito though and affordable. My burrito was made quickly and they had self serve sauces. I was able to get lots of sauce which was good. However compared to the flavorful burritos in LA this one was underwhelming.

Smothered fried tacos. Not sure of exact name, was a daily special.

In general, I'm not the hugest fan of al pastor, but I heard it was one Pinches Burros' specialties. I can now say this, I definitely am a fan of the al pastor tacos at Pinches Burros. The pork was marinated to perfection. It had excellent flavor and wasn't fatty at all, in a good way. The pineapple marinade had just the right amount of sweetness. The tacos themselves were very good sized. The corn tortillas seemed to be homemade. Very good flavor and consistency. Three tacos were enough to fill me up for the evening. I also got some sort of daily special. crispy corn tortilla dish, that I could not find on the menu, but it was quite good, especially when covered in Pinches Burros cheese sauce. Possibly the best queso I've tasted in town. The restaurant itself is fairly small and nondescript inside. The also have a couple video lotter machines behind a saloon door, which seemed a tiny bit odd, but it did not take away from experience at all. I look forward to coming back, definitely for more cheese sauce, but also to try the other delicious looking items on their menu. Thank you, Pinches Burros. I love your logo to btw. Maybe I'll buy a t-shirt next time, too.

Checked this place out while visiting based on Yelp reviews and the name. It sits back off the road a little so kind of hard to see from down the street. Parking is limited. Inside was pretty small and looks like they have a small room to the side with slot machines. Staff were nice. Dorado tacos were good but would recommend adding meat to them. The Pastor burrito gets 5 star for sheer weight, but was rather greasy, mostly beans and rice and lacked much flavor. Their hot sauce had a good kick but was not overwhelming.

This is not a drill! Literally the best I've had in Portland. Chile relleno is out of this world. Avocado salsa out of this world. I'm from Southern California and have yet to find my dream mex spot here but this could easily be it ;) Btw, splittable size!

Bite after heavenly bite. This burrito was lovingly packed with pastor, chorizo refried beans, rice, and a touch of edible heaven.

Tasty little hole in the wall spot. A little too much fluff (rice) in the burritos, but still a good eat.

We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa.
