I took my son here for his first haircut at 12 months old and again recently at 17 months old and the staff is just amazing with little ones. My son is not a chill baby, so I have no idea why he sits for them so well! The cool vehicles and magnetic toys help for sure. We will continue to use them! When your appointment is kept it's a decent place for kids haircuts, key words being when your appointment is kept. The past two times we have had to be rescheduled from original stylist, which we have been flexible with. We have now had 2 rescheduled appointments, this time completely being cancelled at 10pm the night before, Dalia who I can assume is some form of ownership/leadership is defensive and rude when trying to figure out what is happening, since we were called 2 days prior to reassign our appointment then texted at 10pm the night before to fully cancel our appointment. Also 90% of the time they are booked with appointments and have turned away walk-ins so I would suggest booking an appointment well before you need it because between rescheduling and cancellations it could take a while to actually get a haircut. read more

My kiddo doesn't like anybody touching her hair , but behaved so well with Jamie as she engaged her well !!! Least accommodating businesses I've experienced in ages. Scheduling and stylist availability on service day is a nightmare, and they revel in that, could be the most entitled business in CP. If you can handle front desk and overall staff sour and unaccommodating attitudes, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay away. So over this place. We'll be looking for a new spot. You're just a number here, and while many of the stylists do an okay job, there are plenty that just hack at your kid's hair like they're supposed to cut in 10 minutes or less even though your kid is sitting still and quiet. The management/reception people are the biggest issue. They're fake, condescending, and unfriendly. I'll gladly spend a little more to take my kids to an adult barber than take them back here. read more

I RARELY write reviews but after my experience, I feel inclined to share. 1) setting the appointment was easy o line. 2) I called and spoke to Parker a few days before my appointment. I asked for an estimate of time the haircut would take. Parker was so kind on the phone and told me it would be about 30 mins. Sometimes more or less. This was dead on! We were in and out in exactly 30 mins. 3) Dani cut our son's hair. It was his first haircut. He HATED the buzzer, kept telling her no, cried a lot for the first half. After the buzzer was off he calmed down and enjoyed his lolly pop. Dani was so great with him. He is only 2 and she handled his difficulties like a champ. And to top it off- the cut looked so handsome. We will absolutely be back to this place for future cuts!! read more

Beyond frustrating god forbid your going to be 7 mins late - can't re schedule for a month so I guess my son won't have a hair cut for Christmas pictures etc. would be nice if a place for kids was more flexible read more

We've been taking our kids here for several years. Sometimes getting a haircut with kids is unpleasant... You know how it goes. We've had the panic attacks outside the front doors. In all the years we've taken our kids here... We've never had an issue. The creative car and airplanes help. The TVs playing Disney flicks makes a big difference. My 8 year old talks about playing the play station game weeks after his cut. The kids literally squeal with excitement we we head here for haircuts! We started going to Pigtails & Crewcuts over a year ago and absolutely adore it! We struggled through every cut at other salons with my thick-haired 3 year old, holding him down with tears on his part and disappointment in the result on my part. On a whim, I booked at Pigtails, randomly with Kayt, and we haven't looked back since. She is GREAT with my kiddos (and parents, too!) and I am always happy with the results. It's pricier than other family salons, but for us it was well worth the difference to actually ENJOY kid's cuts. My older son had been getting cuts with Dad at another salon and came home one day with a botched cut that continued to be made worse with their follow-ups to fix it. I took him to Kayt, begging her to help get his thin, cowlick-y hair back to normalcy, and within 2 visits it was grown out and looking better than ever! She has since made great suggestions on ways to deal with his cowlicks and has been so kind and patient to help us figure out the best cut for him, something that was never done or offered elsewhere. I have no doubt the other stylists are great as well! Everyone is always very friendly while we are there, but Kayt is our go-to girl...so if you're looking for a stylist, we highly suggest her. read more

We saw Dani to get my 6 year olds ears pierced and she was incredible. They have the titanium stubs for highly sensitive ears. She helped my daughter feel calm and at ease, even braided her hair beforehand for an extra sweet touch. She was wonderful! My daughter didn't even shed a tear the whole time. Cute place with fast service as long as you have an appointment! Ignore that the website says you can walk in. Definitely schedule online. We tried the walk in thing a few times and that is a no go and my four year old cried all the way to the car! Nice (and fast!) cuts for both kids. No crying from the littles, even my two year old when clippers were used. The stylist gave him a train to play with when she saw he was bored. Kind people and good job. It was very easy to schedule an appointment via their website. After reading some reviews I decided to schedule an appointment with Lindsey. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the receptionist and introduced us to Lindsey. I explained that my toddler might cry as he doesn't like me cutting his hair. But Lindsey being very experienced and a pro cutting little children's first hair was very patient and gentle. Introducing every tool she was about to use to him and let him touch and feel it first. My little son being very curious loved exploring each tool and let her cut and buzz off some of the mane that he had. Within 10 min he was done and came out with a clean and beautiful hair cut! The money is totally worth spending if that means my child will have a fun and great time while cutting his hair. Receptionist was extremely rude, dismissing us upon entrance, and then tapping the desk hard to capture my attention in a way that I felt like running away from that place, it seemed she was upset that we were there, very weird for us being the first time in the place. I told her she was being aggressive to which she answered 'you weren't listening'. Yolanda the stylist on the other hand, was great, listened closely to how we wanted our son's hair cut and did a great job. The place is greatly set up for kids, to capture their attention and make it easy for them to stay still while their hair is being cut. Called to see about availability and about the stylists vaccination status. I simply asked if I could request someone that's vaccinated and was rudely told no. Small children can't be vaccinated and my son is too young to wear a mask. I don't need to know that everyone is vaccinated just to get someone that is. Horrible horrible service and haircut by Ashley. The stylist didn't even let my little one get settled in the chair. I was trying to put him in his chair and she started using the machine. I felt like she just wanted to be done with it, she had no patience with the infant and just wanted to get the dam task done. I was terrified the scissor is going to hurt my son. The whole haircut took 5minutes which is ridiculous when they have blocked their time for 15minutes and it wasn't even busy. I wouldn't recommend her or the place to anyone. read more
