If it wasn't for pigtails and crewcuts, I would be at a loss. My son is so high energy and so wary of strangers...but they make all that go away! They provide fun chairs shaped like airplanes or cars for them to sit in, have a TV going, treats to look forward to after, and are super fast! I had them do a pretty detailed cut on my son one time that took a little longer, but seriously there's no way it could've been done otherwise! I am always grateful for their work, and really don't mind that this place runs around 18$. So worth it! read more

If there was another place like this in the area, trust me we would be going there. We have been three times now and every time has been the same. We've had 6 different hairdressers now (2 kids 3 times) and they BARELY speak to our children. They are 1 and 2.5. You should be overly sweet and cute with them, otherwise why are you cutting kids hair. The first time we felt super uncomfortable because the hairdresser didn't even speak to us like at all. Just asked how we wanted it cut and then at the end asked how it was. That's it. I work with kids and I can't understand why no one is friendly to our kids. They are well behaved and always do an amazing job so why does no one even speak to them or anything?! "You're doing such a great job buddy!" Nothing. It's so weird. Also overall the haircuts have been okay when the hair is pushed to the side but very blunt bowl cuts in the front when it's not pushed over which doesn't look great. My husband is learning how to cut the boys hair so we no longer have to go here. read more

The two stars are because they were nice, the haircut is devastating. I asked for the bangs to frame her face and she gave my poor child a bowl cut and cut way into the sides of her hair, her bangs practically go to her ears now. Her hair should have been sectioned off. I could have done better myself and that's what I'll be doing as soon as her hair grows out from this horrific haircut. read more

Even though we made an appointment we still had a 15 minute wait after arriving. It was extremely busy with no place to sit. He decided to stand outside as there was no other place to stand inside. It's a super cute place and I'm sure little kids love it. Our son is 12 and typically goes where I go, but needed his hair cut ASAP. He didn't enjoy the place, but I can see why little ones would. The women handling the front desk could not have been ruder to me. I was recommended this place by my sister for my sons first haircut. Should have been a treasured experience for me and my wife. Upon entering the place looked perfect, but the customer service was so awful we walked right out never to return. I do not know why the lady was so triggered by us. From the moment I greeted her with a smile, and excitement I was met with nothing but anger and aggressive body language. Then to watch her handle another customer with a much friendlier disposition towards them only moments later. I have to wonder if it was our race or perhaps my sons age that provoked the response out of her as these were the only differences between me and the customer after me. Either way it cost them two lifetime customers as me, and my sister now won't be returning. This happened awhile back, and I have sat on it for some time. I tend to let my emotions settle and take time to review an interaction to make sure I did not do something on my end that could of lead to a negative outcome. read more

What a great place. The price is a little more than one may pay at a chain place, but the environment is great. Kristina, who works on the weekend, did a phenomenal job on both my boys hair. The owner was very nice as well and even charged my phone as it was about to die.I highly recommend trying this place out and requesting Kristina! The stylist had the patient of a saint dealing with my toddler during his first haircut this morning. When the sucker offered didn't work, another girl worked to distract him with bubbles. They didn't give up when things were rocky, and I'm so grateful. This place and their staff are AMAZING. We'll definitely be back. I don't know how these ladies do it....to give a good haircut to a three year that does not stop moving...it's almost impossible but somehow it happens every time we go. This is the only place my son has ever had his haircut at. He loves the fun plane, taxi, fire truck, and cop car chairs. He also looks forward to playing on the train table every time we go. The shop is super cute and full of things to keep the kids entertained. The wait is sometimes a little excessive but that just speaks to their popularity. read more

I hate to complain because I've always loved this place but they are not taking face masks seriously. When I first walked in, only one staff member out of the five had their mask on. Zero customers had face masks on. I'm not sure why a hair salon wouldn't at the very least require their employees to wear face masks at all times. Our son is mixed (black and white), and Tamara does such a great job of lining up his sides and back but leaving just the right length of his cute curls on top. She's already cut his hair 3 times (about every 11 weeks), and we will keep coming back! He was about to turn 3 at his last cut and has always been kept pretty distracted by whichever animated movie is being shown on the TV. He also enjoys sitting in one of the vehicle chairs -- airplane, taxi, police car or fire truck -- and then playing with the train set after! They do have toys for sale as well, and it's always tough getting him to leave the toys behind. (They're pretty pricey.) read more

It was our first time and I was really taken back by how accommodating the stylist with our 3 year old who is on the autism spectrum. When she brought the razor out I thought he wouldn't go for it bc he's never had anyone use one on him. But she did a great job distracting him when using it! We will definitely be coming back! I've never been here before but came today for a little 5 yr old birthday party with about 20 girls and their parents. It is very cute inside with car seats for kids to get their hair cut, tons of fancy bows, a giant toy box they can choose from when they are done, and such a FRIENDLY, HAPPY staff! The party room was separate from the main salon and was decorated with cute tables and chair and all kinds of dress up dresses, magic wands, necklaces, shoes, feather boas, and tiaras for the girls. They had a karaoke machine going and the girls were dancing. They had a "fairy godmother" employee dressed up as Cinderelly with glitter who read 2 fun stories while the girls ate pizza w water, goldfish, and had cake. The extra staff was on hand to serve, cut the cake, clean up, and handle the crowd. Staff was wearing pink shirts so they were easily identified. The girls had the ultimate treat: getting their nails and hair done! The stylists were creative and friendly and used glitter and bows and fun hair color spray and everyone had a ball! It was a magical time and I cannot help thinking this is where I want my daughter's party someday! read more

Kudos to the owners for providing a much needed service to the community. Hopefully others have a better experience than I had with my 18mo grandson. We arrived with great hopes that his first haircut experience would be a happy one. Overstimulation to the max! Especially for such a little one. They have themed cars for the littles to get their cuts in and TV's with cartoons and toys and game systems and more! The stylist we had asked us to put my grandson in a race car chair that was covered in hair. We waited for her to wipe it down - no apology, just wiped it on the floor with her hand. After putting him in the seat he reached for the steering wheel and started to play when the stylist immediately swooped in and covered him with a cape. This took him by surprise as she never said one word to him or us for that matter. She just started spraying water on his hair and combing without any explanation or warning. We knew what was coming but he didn't and a little chair side manner should have been used. At this point he was scared to death and unconsolable so we had to remove him from the chair. Needless to say we didn't get his hair cut and we won't be back. read more
