I had read a review online that a guest was upset because she lost several blow dry credits due to a time expiration on her credits. I was concerned that i too might lose credits-I made a point to ask the lovely front desk lady at the next time I visited (Dec 2025) what was the policy for purchased blow dry credits. I was told by her that my credits were mine unless I had selected a Certain option during my cancellation process and there was no expiration date on my credits. She assured me that my credits were safe and not applicable to a time line. The next time I arrived at the Drybar (early Feb 2026) at the checkout I was told I was had no credits. I was extremely confused because of my previous conversation at the shop. I was instructed to pay and leave the salon and to contact the manager via email. I contacted the manager via email and explained everything that had happened and asked if I could recoup half of my unused credits in return I would immediately reinstate my membership. I was told via email absolutely not. They would welcome me back as a member but they would not concede ANY blow dry credits -even though I had been given wrong information by their employee. I was very happy to meet them in Less of the middle to reinstate my membership. (If they would have offered 1 or 2 blow dry credits due to what their employee told me i would have been 100% happy and NOT giving this review). This is a company that has no customer service and doesn't want to retain any members. They have enough.

She was quoted $120. She spent 5 hours in the salon and came home in tears. Half of her head was missing color entirely... a portion is light... a portion is dark... needless to say it is terrible. She reached out to them today to see if they could refund all or a portion of her money and was told that they would fix her hair if she agreed to thin it first and that they would not refund a penny because 'honestly I undercharged you for your hair type and the amount of time I had to spend on you". She was told to go to a 'school' if she wanted it cheap. If she wanted a cheap route she wouldn't have gone to you in the first place. This is what my 18 year was told. Who is in tears that her hair is ridiculous. She paid what YOU quoted her for the service you SAID you were giving. I am irate. Is this really how you handle your customers?

I trusted Michelle to do my hair extensions after an in person consultation on Wednesday July 15, 2026. She expressed I had a lot of hair but that I was absolutely a candidate for 16 inch length hair extensions. I was quoted a total at my consult of $2025 and left a $475 down payment for my appointment that was on Friday July 17, 2026 at 8 am. I left the salon on Friday, over 13 hours later with what looked like the perfect head of hair. (See photo). Michelle painted the top of my hair a color that she said would help blend my hair color with the extensions. My hair looked black on the top. I did a hair removal treatment on my own (see pics of Black hair and then my actual hair color). At the end of the appointment, Michelle curled my natural hair and extensions and everything looked pretty well blended. She said we didn't need to add layers and that after I washed the extensions they would "fluff" up and would blend well with my hair. About halfway thru the appointment Michelle realized how much hair I had and decided we needed to do individual pieces (K-tips) to help blend. At 9:30 pm on Friday after my hair was done Michelle let me know I owed a remainder Of $2800 when I had paid 475 already. I washed my hair on Saturday night (July 18, 2026) and blew dry it (as instructed). When I woke up on Sunday, the 19th, the extensions were not fluffed at all and were stick straight. I tried to blend them but gave up and put in a ponytail. I was horrified at what my hair looked like and I also had an excruciating headache from the weight of how much hair was used. I contacted Michelle and had her remove my extensions on Sunday. She mentioned in the future if I wanted to try again she could perm the extensions for a better blend with my hair---why was this never mentioned during the process? After this extremely long day and unexpected money spent, this experience left me frozen so my husband wanted to help advocate for me and he texted Michelle and asked for an itemized bill. A bill was sent to my husbands email. The itemized bill was not Accurate as it stated I left a tip much larger than I had and showed I still had a balance owed. They converted part of my payment for service into the tip amount to make it look like I still owed for the service and they were waiving the remaining balance. She also put prices next to products that I was told were a free "extension goody bag." (Said goody bag was returned). My husband sent an email explaining the entire process I went through and asked for a partial refund. Pictures below: the finished product on Friday, what my hair looked like after I washed it, the painted dark roots she did and the pic after I did my own stripping treatment. I feel I was completely misinformed and misled. Michelle should have denied me as a candidate for extensions. She got paid and then wouldn't work with me on any type Of refund. This cost me over $3000! I hope this post prevents this devastating experience from happening to anyone else!!
