So I took my now 4 year old to her first haircut a couple of months ago. She has very long hair and loves her hair long so she was a bit nervous about getting a haircut. She's a bit older than your average child getting their first haircut, but i wanted the experience to be fun and memorable. I had heard great things of Pigtails and Crewcuts and decided to schedule with them. Schedueling was easy and I was able to do it online. I shceduled a first haircute package since it includes a picture. We arrived ther on time and were scheduled with Mrs Chi. She was very polite and consented my daughter when she selected a particular seat that was a bit inconvinient for Chi since my kid is tall. My daughter had lots of fun and was happy with her cute hairstyle with glitter on her hair. It took about 20 minutes or so and at the end, they let your child select a free toy from a toy chest which my daughter was pretty happy to select. Would come here again for a second haircut since it is resonably priced and daughter loved the experience. read more

Fun place for your kid's haircut! They have a cute waiting area off to the side with a train table, tv, and other games & toys the kiddos can play with. Kids are allowed to pick where they want to sit and in which kind of chair too. The stylists were all very friendly and chi did an excellent job cutting my son's hair. They had magnetic toys to keep him entertained while in the chair. And lastly he left with a lollipop and a pick out of the treasure chest. It's $28 for a kids haircut but for going as irregularly as we go and for the experience it was worth it! read more

My husband and I brought our son to Pigtails and Crewcuts for his first haircut just before his second birthday. We had a great experience there and we will definitely be going back for the rest of his haircuts while he's a kid. We think that they did a great job making the whole experience kid friendly. First, they have a waiting room with a train track, a large dinosaur busy toy, balls, and other vehicle toys. We didn't wait long, but he had fun playing while he waited for his turn. There are several vehicle chairs for the kids to sit in while they get their haircut like a plane, firetruck, and a classic car. They also had The Little Mermaid playing on several televisions which kept our son occupied. Our hair stylist, Jamie, was friendly and patient with our son. After his haircut he got to pick a toy from the toy chest and he loves that little red ball that he picked! We spent the extra $6 for the first haircut package which included a picture of our son after his haircut and a lock of his hair in a card. Rating from F to A+++, I give them an A+++! read more

We only get my daughter's haircut here. She's almost two and a half and we have been just about every six months for the past two years. We have had Becky multiple times and she is a favorite for sure. Very gentle with my daughter, quick and really listens to what we want and has great recommendations. Definitely recommend appointments. Especially on a Saturday! read more

My son and I love it here. I have tried several other hair salons that cater to kids but was never happy with his haircuts. We have been going to Miss Candace here for about a year or more and she is simply wonderful. She cuts his hair nicely every time and she has the best personality. Several other mommies I know bring their children to her as well. There are other hairdressers here and they all seem to do a great job as well. Customer service is always A+ . Went online and discovered this haircut place with little kids chairs in it. Made appointment for same day. Came a little early and was seen on time. Becky was very pleasant, nice and patient. My daughter is 5 years old and had to have about 3 or 4 inches cut off straight across. Everyone was nice and informative and patient. My son just got his second haircut from this location and both experiences have been quite pleasant. Does he enjoy it completely? HECK NO. hahaha He hates me to even brush his hair so a hair cut is a little hectic but it has to get done. And these people work with little ones all day so they know what they are doing. They come prepared with toys and tricks up their sleeves. Every time I go I tell myself I will remember the names of the stylists who cut his hair and both times I have forgotten (sigh) but I do want you to know that i have had two different people and both were fabulous. They are super patient with your child and don't rush you through the process or get frustrated when my son pushes away their hand for the 1000000th time. Jaime was fantastic! Sweet and courteous. Engaging with my four-year-old daughter. Did a beautiful job with her hair and finished it off with an Elsa braid, glitter, and a crown! Brought in my 2 1/2 year old daughter to fix the mullet she gave herself. She was super excited when we walked to see the salon decked out with toys (for sale), train play area, & of course, cars & air plane chairs. Getting my nephews haircut has always been a struggle, especially since he is on the spectrum and has various sensory issues. He was in desperate need of a haircut and we found this place on yelp. Katherine was an absolute angel when it came to making sure my nephew was as comfortable as possible during his haircut. He struggles with his face being wet, hair touching his skin, and the buzz of clippers. She had a solution for all of these issues and it's so incredible to know that there are people out there who can make situation that is usually stressful, in to an amazing one. It's easy to make an appointment. During Covid they do wear masks as well as the clients. They do cute braids and hairstyles. My only complaint is last time my bill was really high. They charge quite a bit for every little thing. $25 for hair cut, $8 for shampoo, $5 braid, etc. I paid close to $50 for a trim and one little braid for a 6 year old. read more

We started at the waiting room which was a play area with a tv and couches. Shortly after, a hairstylist greeted us and started the haircut. I found this place here on Yelp and am so glad I did! We took our 3.5 year old daughter for her first haircut and purchased the first haircut package. We booked online, which was so convenient. We had the pleasure of having Candice cut her hair. She immediately greeted my daughter warmly and handed her a shaker filled with glitter. That was enough to keep her happy throughout the entire experience. Candice was so friendly and chatted with us all while skillfully cutting my daughter's hair. She styled it so adorably, finishing it off with a bright pink ribbon (much to my daughter's delight). Once the haircut was over, we were given a certificate with a picture of my daughter's new 'do and a lock of her hair. Her favorite part, though, was picking out a toy from the treasure box at the end. The facility was definitely created with kids in mind, from the fun themed chairs to the tv screens and toys all around the salon. We've been to this location 2 times and my son had his haircut done by Candice W. She is absolutely fabulous! Very sweet, patient, and playful. She's done a great job cutting my son's hair. Provided great distractions for him and this place has it all for kids to be entertained. It's a very clean place, lots of playroom for the kids to relax and unwind before their haircut. They also have I believe it was 2 or 4 TV monitors as well for kids to watch shows as well. It was also nice to see that they had some diapers and wipes in the bathroom provided if needed. Big win for me, since I definitely forgot some wipes. Very kid friendly, and mommy approve for me! I really like this location, it's a bit of a drive but worth it to me. Love, love, love this place! Lindsey was amazing with my kiddo! My 3yr son isn't a fan of haircuts but she was pro! He fell in love with her and it's the first time he actually was able to get barber shears anywhere near him! What she did was amazing...she had a small hand massager that she used as a toy (which mimics the sound of the shears) and got him used to the feel, before giving him the best cut he ever had! The salon paid attention to details like, a nice play area for the kids and a great choice of movies for the kids to watch while getting their hair cut. And his airplane chair was super cute, too! She really cares about doing a great job and took her time to make sure dotting, or the placement of the earrings on the ear lobe, was perfect.
