I (almost quite literally) stumbled into Pika Provisions on our recent Yelp's Leavenworth Road Trip as I had about half an hour to kill before meeting the gang for some karaoke nearby. This tiny little subterranean spot has a definite speakeasy vibe, and isn't super easy to find but definitely worth checking out. It's small, dark, and has lotssss of atmosphere. It would be the perfect place for a romantic date. Alas, I was solo on this particular visit. So I ordered a dirty vodka martini which was adorned by the best. Olives. Ever. No really. These olives. Um, gimme a full bowl of 'em next time please. Apparently they come from someplace special - I asked the sweet bartender where, and he told me, but of course that information didn't stick around in my brain long enough to write this review. Suffice to say, they weren't an olive that I've ever seen at a local grocery store. The drink itself was delish and I was sad to have to head up to karaoke so soon after enjoying it. Luckily, the karaoke bar was packed so I brought my friends right back down to Pika. No, they don't have karaoke here (which is probably good considering how tiny the place is) but on the second visit I enjoyed the best gin 'n tonic of my life. Did I mention this place might now surpass Munchen Haus on my list of "Must visit in Leavenworth" spots? Yup, pretty sure it does. Just a note: one thing this place doesn't have is a wide variety of food options. They appear to specialize in caviar, and not the cheap stuff, if you catch my drift. So eat before (or after) you go. Downstairs, amongst other shops and businesses that may or may not be closed sits Pika Provisions in the back where it has an exclusivity to it. If you're at Pika Provisions, it's because you were told or you were looking for it Everything you're looking for is there - great service, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, nice looking interior with a fair amount of seating. They have a wide selection of cocktails all crafted and offer up all your favorites as well as tonics, vermouths, vodkas, rums and more. Came as part of a group of 3+ and were able to get a nice space for the whole group. Server was very nice - willing to make suggestions for some of the more indecisive members of our group. I had the "Summer technology" - Elderflower, "potato" vodka with garnish. It's described as a spike 'lemonade'. both refreshing and smooth. Glad we stumbled upon this gem, especially because the previous place we dodged was the opposite of Pika Provision. This is a perfect underground treasure in Leavenworth. The vibe, the service, and the drinks are incredible. As someone who loves the idea of a cocktail more than the reality of one... finding drinks that I genuinely enjoy is difficult but I search in hopes of finding an answer to my dilemma! I've been wanting to try Pika Provisions since I saw them on Yelp's list of the Top Speakeasy Bars in the US. It's a bit hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for (hence, speakeasy). This is exactly what Leavenworth needed! It has a cool atmosphere that feels inspired by tiki bars. Our drinks were nicely balanced and there are some others on the menu I'd love to try. We were lucky enough to get some local knowledge and found this best ever craft bar. We had a few rounds of very nice drinks made and served by one of the Owner/Partners, Liz. The atmosphere is phenomenal whether you sit at the bar to watch the craft cocktail art or grab a booth for quality time with a group. The drinks are great and the selection of spirits is astounding. Since this is a speak easy... and is supposed to be secret... should I even be writing a review?! :D Luckily, some friends told me about this place on a recent trip to Leavenworth, so we decided to go on an adventure and grab some drinks in this hidden location! Tucked away in downtown Leavenworth, it has a cozy cabin type of feel. The cocktail list was pretty decent, I settled for their Salty Raccoon, which was good. Was trying to go here for our friends Bachelorette to start off her night, the hostess said it was a 45 minute wait since we were a group of 8 (totally understandable), we were ready to wait since this is what the bride wanted to do. The bride was a little dehydrated and we asked for water for her while we were waiting. The male waiter was so nice and brought it out immediately. We sat waiting for a bit, and the bride needed to run to the restroom because she had a bit of a stomach ache. The hostess then comes back out and says that wait will be longer and that we wouldn't be served because the bride "seemed drunk" (she never asked if she was okay). We explained to her that she was in the bathroom for another reason and we hadn't even drank anything tonight. The hostess was very dismissive and unwelcoming. We told her we weren't going to come here anymore and that she wasn't respectful. We waited for the bride by the bathroom and heard her laughing the whole experience off with two other guests waiting for seats.
